Long gone…read moreare the days when customers would frequent this place to find much coveted, scarce items such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer (thank goodness!). Given that, you'd think that they would run a tight ship in the pharmacy, churning out prescriptions like a well oiled machine with quickness and ease. But lately it seems like there's nothing quick or easy about picking up a prescription. At this point I'd say that there's at least a 50% chance of something going awry, ranging anywhere from an inordinately long wait time to no prescription at all, or a combination of both. This hasn't always been the case though. When I first started using this pharmacy my satisfaction level was much higher. The way I remember it, hiccups were few and far between. Looking back, I definitely took for granted the efficient service I once enjoyed. Fortunately, the rest of the goods and services they offer have never been problematic. But, because I don't often go inside the store to utilize them, those carry less weight in my rating.

The pharmacist at the second Walgreens, without checking their inventory, told me that, if I could not locate it on a particular wall, they did not carry it. Needless to say, I could not locate the item and went up the road to CVS. The VERY kind CVS associate a) verified that their CVS did not carry the product and then b) pulled up the Walgreens website and found that the W store that I had just departed DID have the item in stock. Sheesh. She placed a call to the W in question and asked if they would kindly hold the item at the front register for my return. Wish I knew the lady's name. A Samaritan!!

"Sean" I was already having a bad day dealing with the situation that I was in trying to get a photo printed out. This young man Sean. Mr. Sean went far beyond service to the customer and giving me the necessary respect and support that I needed just for a simple picture. They never communicate, and I need to call them, leave a VM to ask them to fill the RX that was sent. I never think to need to contact them. I assume they'll fill it, and if they don't, then they would contact me to say they aren't filling it. And why. It's a sealed (uncontrolled) bottle of fluid. No pills to count. Seems easy enough to just process it, and if it comes down to me arriving and saying: "oh no! My insurance won't cover it? So tragic!" Then I'll just pay the $34. If not, they can just put it back if I seriously refuse to find ways to cover what I clearly must have. They also never did a transfer I requested, then the next day (today) I call to find this out. That's where I just had a new RX sent there instead, because they clearly don't want to be bothered to do a transfer I guess. At least they call me back when I leave a Vm (the latest way to speak to a pharmacist) and that's where I said to please just fill the RX and I'll pay the $34 without insurance. And I was actually very kind and humble, but they hung up while I was asking when it'd be ready. Which prompted me to write this update: They still suck. And they're still the only 24/7 pharmacy nearby... So I still go there.
