I have never had such a bad experence at a Walgreens. Since I got there the evening manager, David, made me feel that I am a thief and I am just there to steel and take advantage of the store.
The first thing I do when I go to a Walgreens is graba bag of cheetos and I eat it while I am shopping most of the times and leave the bag in my cart so I can pay at checkout. So I was eating my cheetos and I needed to go to the bathroom so I ask David to please let me in into the restroom; in the process he asked me if those cheetos were from the store and if I was going to pay for them. I said, of course! but I am still shopping, I am not going to go into a Walgreens just to steal a bag of cheetos, that is ridiculous! now I understand that other people might do it but there is ways to address that and to start if you are the manager, shouldn't you welcome the customer first and greet?
Anyways, I proceeded to shop, I was checking products and I go to the toy section and there are some toys that I am interested in, that is when Molly who was facing that aisle ask me if I was doing ok and needed some help and I thank her but at that second I was doing fine. However I noticed just after I said this that one of the toys I wanted had a clearance tag for 3.49 so I ask her if that price was for the toy that I wanted to get and she mentioned she didn't know as they have a lot of kids playing around with toys in the day and the move them which I understood, but she did not help me. Then I looked at another toys that had another clearance tag and I tried to match up the tag to the toy but I knew it wasn't a match and then I notice that all 3 shelves had the same tag of clearance for 3.49. Then I thought that maybe all the toys are on clearance for 3.49 and I ask again Molly for it and she again mentioned she didn't know I indicated that I doubt that kids would put signs in all the shelves for the same price and she said that to know the price I needed to go to the register to ask for a price check, which I did, but again, if you work in the establishment and you offer help but then when ask for help, you don't really help, what is this good for? Of course the prices that came out in the computer were different for each toy and all of them were higher that 3.49, very deceiving.
Anyways, I proceeded to the back to check more clearance items and when I found what I wanted it was time to close. I had been in the store for half an hour and was able to find few stuff. I noticed one strange thing though, did not think much of it until now, but the whole time I was there Molly kept coming around where I was just to see what I was doing, at first I took it like she/they were desperate for me to get out, because it was almost closing time, it made me really uncomfortable because again, is not like she was much of help. But then now I understand why she was doing that, It was either because her manager told her to tail me or that is the policy of the store to be following everybody in case they steal?
Anyways when I got to check out I noticed that there were 5 people including the manager closing the store but none of them were much of a help, the only cashier was even trying to get many things at the time like cigarretes for the customers, which were across her register. Anyways, when my turn came I was the last customer and none of the items the I got on clearance were ringing up the price on the tag. So the cashier called the manager who had been guarding the door and ask him to adjust prices and
what happened next really surprised me. He grabbed the clearance items and started to peel the price tags to see if they were for real, like I am going to bring my own clearance prices and make up the whole thing. Anyways, obviously they were so stick he had a hard time doing it and then on top of that, he told me he didn't think those things were on clearance that he had to verified in his system! Very rude approached. I told him that he mistrusts a lot and he said that because of the area he had to, which I understand but he needs to be more delicate about it because pretty much he made me feel like a thieve and I am an avid Walgreens customer. I told him he needed to change his approach but he did not want to listen.
I have shopped in a lot of Walgreens and have never had THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
I think if they are so afraid of stealing they shouldn't be in that location or pay a police man to be in that location at closing. I think it is super rude, inappropriate and NOT REALLY a "CORNER OF HAPPY AND HEALTHY".
I would ask for the manager of Walgreens to give a better training to this Evening manager in CUSTOMER SERVICE and TREATMENT. And even a class on law of attraction, if you think you are going to get scam, then you will get scam, if you are afraid you are going to get robbed then of course you will!! By the law of attraction you get what you think about, come'n read more
