The pharmacists here are bit lazy. It takes them forever to help. Walgreens should do better

There's really nothing redeeming about this pharmacy. I've called in to check on my prescription only to get automatic response. When I called the main line and got through to the store manager I was told that the auto response was wrong, that they had asked corporate to fix it. I have sat at the drive thru window and watched 4 workers absolutely ignore me and there was no customer at the inside counter. They must be understaffed and this is an ongoing problem. I got to pick up my prescription and the pharmacy is closed. All weekend. Now weather has made it impossible to get in and I'm out of my meds. I actually had asked my doctor to phone in the prescription to a different pharmacy but it was sent here in error. Will be trying to transfer remaining refills ASAP. read more

management is rude to customers and coworkers. Hope this store shuts down. Everyone there needs to be retrained in how to be nice to customer. How dare you tell my child what to do. read more

This might be the worst Walgreens pharmacy. I don't know why it's so hard for them. It's been a month of trying to get my daughters inhalers and still don't have them. We were told to come back and then when we come back they have wrong one. Then they have closed that prescription. Going to now try to get doctor to send somewhere else. Meanwhile my kid doesn't have her inhalers. They don't seem to even understand how dangerous that is for a child or apologize. read more

Went to get my second shingles shot and was told I owed $218 as my insurance wasnt paying. I called my provider and they called store to tell them to try again as I was totally covered clerk said no the register said she has to pay or go somewhere else. It's been my store for 2 years never had a issue nothing changed with my insurance. Her supervisor came over and told her to put in RX number and walked away, she said she tried but I had to go somewhere else. So I will read more

Worst Walgreens maybe on the planet Earth. Pharmacy techs and store manager are beyond incompetent, confidently ill informed, and unprofessional. They couldn't figure out how to transfer my prescriptions from neighboring Walgreens the next town over and because they were "so busy" and rudely told me to call the other Walgreens on their behalf or call my dr and get new rx (all their job). I'm flabbergasted at the interaction. Their system is connected across the US. Their literal job is to transfer and fill prescriptions. Will never shop or fill prescriptions at another Walgreens ever again because of this experience. read more

Spent over 2 hours on hold, got to 1 caller ahead, then got the ring only to be bounced right back to hold over and over, then ultimately dropped. My wife's prescription hasn't been filled for days, and even the prescriber verbally recommended a different location based on this one's history. Hopefully everyone here gets fired, sucks to suck. read more

20 person line at the pharmacy at 3:15pm in the afternoon?! Where is the staff, manager? Why are they only open Monday- Friday until 6pm?

I would recommend using any other pharmacy or store besides this one. When I purchased photo books for Christmas I would receive them put in upside down, backwards, or falling apart. This happened twice. When I've tried calling the pharmacy they pick up the phone and hang up. This store needs a whole new crew of employees because the current ones are incompetent. read more

The employees in this Walgreens pharmacy appear to be overworked and horribly understaffed. Maybe that's why the Pharmacist and manager are rude beyond belief. My prescription was supposed to be ready on a Thursday (it was not), was not filled on Friday and was still not ready on the following Monday. On a different prescription refill, the computer generated voice told me that it would be ready the next day, a Saturday. We arrived to find out that the pharmacy is closed on Saturday and Sunday due to a shortage of pharmacists! I guess even pharmacists don't want to work at this place! read more

This location's pharmacy does not care about customer service. my refill stayed "in progress" for 5 days. I tried to call and stayed on hold for 1 hour 45 minutes. I waited a day and called back to only be on hold for 40 minutes. I gave up and called another Walgreens, they had my prescription filled in 1 hour. We just moved into the area, trying to transfer our automatic prescriptions to the CVILLE Walgreens, Seminole TRL, Charlottesville. Unfortunately, I felt like I was in a seinfeld episodes with the "soup nazi." This pharmacist lady at the counter was sooo rude, she was mean to all the fine folks there and just cut people out, would not answer their questions, it was crazy. When it was our turn, she was not helpful at all and violated our privacy asking why my wife was taking such meds. It was unbelivable and she never answer my wife questions. But it got worse when I went to pick up such meds, she interrupted me and made me feel like I was just bugging the heck out of her. The interesting part was we tried to call first but she was hung up on twice, after holding for a bit. Then we went online, but no luck. I went for a Covid test. The employee at the window was beyond nasty. My appointment said to arrive at least 5 minutes early at the drive through. No one was at the drive thru and I was 11 minutes early. She told me I had to wait until 11:30 and leave the drive thru; I cannot wait there (again, no one was behind me in the drive thru). Well, 11:30 arrives and I am waiting at the window for 10-15 minutes while she does other things. She gives me the baggie and swab but does not give me instructions for the swab until I have already opened it on the wrong end. Leaving it as is will result in the tested swab to shoot out the end of the paper causing possible contamination in the bag. I ask her for another swab and she refuses to give it to me. What a piece of work this woman was. If you are that miserable as an employee, then stay home--do not take it out on customers who are sick. I will never go back to this store. Nasty does not properly describe this woman. This woman needs a sedative or something...perhaps a simple discussion of what customer service is all about. read more

This is the absolute worst Walgreens I have ever been to and I have done extensive travel during my time in the Navy. The pharmacy techs are extraordinarily rude and very discourteous. Claiming that they are "extremely busy" not willing to help with insurance as I am new to Charlottesville. The clerk that failed to assist me today pretty much told me that I was out of luck since I don't have my insurance card yet (it's in the mail) and there was no way that she could bill my prescriptions. Lies. I called my insurance company and they gave me the information they would need and said they can call them to clear up any issues. When I called to give them the information, they said they were too busy to call!!!!!!! I'm pretty sure that's your job. Like seriously. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY FOR YOUR NEEDS. THEY SUCK!!!!!!!!! If I could give them no stars I would. Update 8 months later********* Okay, so I'm impressed with the changes that this particular Walgreens has made with their staff. Shorty after I submitted a review to the chain itself, I do believe that they let the most unhelpful/rude pharmacy tech I've ever met go! Would rate a zero if I could. Took my child's doctor an hour to get anyone on the phone at the pharmacy to get a much needed rx called in for an infection. I was told by the doctor to allow an hour for them to get it filled. I show up an hour later and the pharmacy tech could not find the RX. I called his doctor back to ensure it was called into the right pharmacy, she told me yes she had spoken with someone at the pharmacy, that she did not leave a voicemai. The pharmacy tech apologized and said they found it, to come back in 30 mins.... Ok, fine, I had another appointment to take my son to. I come back an hour later and was told it still wasn't filled! The same pharmacy tech told me to take a seat and they would be have it ready shortly. Not sure how long I waited, but it was long enough. I finally got up and asked if the RX was ready after seeing many others leave. Sure enough, it was ready after no one bothered to tell me, or so I thought. I get in the car to head home. While driving I checked the RX. What was called in was supposed to be a liquid oral suspension of antibiotics in which was not! It was still in powder form. I attempted to call the pharmacy (I'm still on hold 43 mins later...)to let them know if the mistake. I made it to the next nearby Walgreens pharmacy near forest lakes to inform them of this mistake & to see if they had the ability to fill it properly for me. Thankfully they were. I don't normally leave reviews but felt this deserved one in hopes I could help save someone else's time. Get your Rx filled elsewhere. read more

I went to CVS today to get a passport photo - a total disaster all the way around. (I posted a separate review if interested.) I finally left without the photo and came to straight Walgreens. This is where I should have started. What a delight!! I had no idea it could be so quick and easy. Kristopher in the photo department took my picture, waited on customers, and still managed to let me see the finished product before it was printed. In addition, he can adjust the centre point of the picture, enlarge or reduce it and take out red eyes if necessary. There is some human overview, not just an auto-print machine like CVS. I was in and out with a MUCH BETTER picture than expected, good lighting, correct size and white background all for $15 for 2 pics. I was in and out within 10 minutes. We were visiting the area and had to go to a urgent care. The prescription was sent over to this location. After checking with the pharmacy, they hadn't received the order yet. Within a few minutes, they received about 15-20 orders. The clerk asked my husband's name. She pulled his order from the stack and gave directly to pharmacist to be filled next. We didn't ask her to do that but it did speed the process along. In our home state, we wouldn't have received that type of service. Nice to know there are helpful employees still out there. If we lived in this area, this would definitely be our pharmacy! read more

The Pharmacy at this location is Terrible! Condescending associates run this Pharmacy which we had put up with it in the past. But going there today to pick up a prescription for my sick son only to find that they are closed on Labor day?! Because naturally there are NO sick people on Labor day. Was the LAST straw. Called Wal Mart and they are open. Will be changing ALL our families prescriptions first thing tomorrow morning to a pharmacy that cares about the wellness of their customers year round. The employees are quite rude. Aside from their attitude, the store is pretty tidy but the prices are a lot higher that one would expect. The woman at the counter just didn't want to be helpful and had a Northern accent. I asked where she was from and she said "we are all from Boston". I went to Target instead and found a better deal. read more

This Walgreens has very rude cashiers and staff. As the other reviewer said, prices are also higher than CVS, Target, etc. I was in the store because I had Walgreens Rewards Points ($10 in Walgreens cash) left over from when I moved but was told (rudely by a male cashier) that I was unable to use them because of a computer issue.
