Made a trip here and have been so happy with all the ways I can tame my sweet tooth in a healthier way then junk food full of sugar and the wrong fats and wrong carbs. I prefer to shop in person for vitamins and supplements so I can more easily compare them. They have a huge selection on their Web site, and an impressive selection in the store. If they don't have in store what you saw on the site, they'll order it for you. The prices can sometimes be different depending on sales, but they do a lot of sales. I often buy their brand for supplements and vitamins, but if you ask for advice, they don't automatically point you to their brand, which I appreciate. The staff are very friendly and helpful and have helped me many times figure out what to get. Their prices are considerably less than GNC and their selection beats everyone else in town. They have a large section for protein bars (including vegan and gluten-free), and you can buy just one to taste them before committing to a whole box. They also stock a lot of muscle-building protein powders and homeopathics. They have a rewards program that gives you so many dollars off each year based on how much you spent, but I feel like they could give more than they do. They also have a bad habit of mailing me a coupon to save me $10 off $75 right after I've spent about that much and don't need to again for a while! The sales kinda make up for it, though.

Many of them are in their twenties and some of them have just an ok knowledge of products, but everyone I interacted with was very nice. I bought a pretty expensive serum off of a recommendation and ended up having an allergic reaction (not her fault I have really picky skin) and everyone was very apologetic and the return was a breeze. I tracked down almost every associate in the store to see what they'd all recommend, and was pleasantly surprised at all of their knowledge and their willingness to help. I think they were definitely more willing to help people who seem like they will drop some $ here. Which, in all fairness, they are working a sales floor and this is their job. A good trick I've picked up is leading with "price doesn't matter" (even if it does lol) when asking for help, and seeing what they recommend off the bat. If it's out of my range, then I'll ask if they've found a drugstore dupe for the high end product then compare the two. In general, their selection of drugstore options is WAY more limited than ULTAs is. If you want good dupes and more to pick from I'd go to ULTA. Sephora does offer some high end brands and more expensive products in general, but it's a good place to find a nice addition to my normal product lineup. The bulk of my cosmetic shopping is at ULTA and I save Sephora for special splurgy items. I ended up grabbing a laneige moisturizer (I trust anything k beauty) and a inky list redness serum and both have worked beautifully for my skin. I had already visited other MyEyeDr offices to shop and compare, as I was looking to get a backup pair of prescription sunglasses. I found most of the other offices far more customer-friendly than this one. With the exception of Avory, who was most impressive in her courtesy, professionalism and superb customer service skills, I found the front staff lacking in their approach to customer service. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to work with Avory. However, I continually observed her performance with other customers while I was working with Rashonda. Avory genuinely seemed happy to be working there and always verbally welcomed guests as they entered the office. Other staff appeared to have a perfunctory "just going through the motions" attitude about their work. I am rating this office three stars, rather than only two stars, because everyone seemed to be technically competent in their trade. Thus, if you care only about technical proficiency, then this office is fine. But if you're like me and you want not only technical competence from your eye doctor experience, but a friendly, engaging interaction where you feel welcomed and glad you came, then I don't think the Pantops (Jefferson Parkwy) office is your best option. If you are lucky to work with Avory, then you should walk away feeling very pleased with your experience. Otherwise, with the other front staff, I recommend looking elsewhere. As soon as I mentioned leaving, the doctor saw me immediately -- which made it clear the delay wasn't due to workload but a lack of urgency. The front staff felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I requested glasses and a pack of contacts, the woman with curly hair interrupted me repeatedly with "hold on, hold on, you are going way too fast" even though I was simply responding to her question of what I wanted which never changed each time I said I wanted just GLASSES AND CONTACTS!! (Nothing about deals or offers or what I could get on the glasses). Before I could even say contacts she interrupted me not once but multiple times after asking what I wanted to order (Which was about three times mind you) and all I said was glasses and contacts!! That was it! I wasn't asking for offers, deals, or extra info -- just placing a straightforward order. Somehow, that was too difficult for her to process. Maybe hire someone that can take a simple order instead of someone that gets overwhelmed by just a simple straightforward order. She acted like it was way too hard to keep up with just glasses and contacts. I couldn't imagine if I had to ask about anything else. I worked in customer service for 8 years I know how hard it can be but if someone can't even take basic request without acting like it's too much for her to handle than you need to find someone who can. I can understand if I was asking a bunch of questions or wanting a bunch of stuff but I literally just ask for glasses and contacts nothing else about info or anything. Working in customer service there was times I had to take many MANY request and questions and process them immediately! I never once told a customer hold on you're going to fast and cut them off!
