Unfortunately this Walgreens is never stocked and never answers my phone calls at the pharmacy. Also, the prescriptions are always way later to be filled than they're supposed to be. The drive through line takes a long time but that's normal with Walgreens prescription pickup. I'm sure the pharmacists are doing their best considering the long lines but inside takes a long time too. They are swamped in the pharmacy and don't seem to have many other regular shoppers since so many of their shelves are empty. read more

This Walgreens location is the worst I've been all over the world, yes world. The merchandise selection is poor, always out of stock of regular merchandise. However, what is absolute worst is the service. The employees from the store and the pharmacy have zero desire of working there and it shows. Snappy, eye rolling, rude, hang ups when calling over the phone if you finally get them to answer their phones. An employee named Tracy, every-time she is at the register is rude, not a hello nor a good morning just gives your total with a miserable face. I can't forget to mention an employee that I was informed his name was David at the pharmacy, cause he refused to give me his name when asked. Seems he doesn't wear his name tag, if that was his actual name, he is a person with such a terrible condescending attitude when you inquire about your medications etc. They only get business because there are only 2 Walgreens in the city and they are far apart. I'm happy I moved from Charlottesville and get to visit a different Walgreens in my new city where they do know what customer service is all about. Walgreens on Rolkin Road charlottesville va is horrible. Always out of stock on the most popular meds. They never answer the phone. Waited on the phone for 15 minutes...then all of a sudden they are on a meal break..when I called way before the meal break time. I've been informed that they are out of stock on my rx's...when they are not. Staff rude...most,not all. I've been hung up on...and the list goes on. This is a review for one pharmacist specifically. I wish I had written down his name. I will update this review if I go back and find it out. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and scheduled an RSV vaccine (for which I am eligible between 32 and 36 weeks of pregnancy). For a variety of reasons, it made the most sense for me to get vaccinated at 32 weeks exactly. My OB agreed that that timing was the right choice for me and it would be safe to get with my required TDAP vaccine as well. I booked an appointment for both. The pharmacist advised me that although I "technically was eligible" for RSV, he recommended I wait to get it. I explained that I wanted it now for a variety of reasons and my doctor agreed it was safe. He instantly copped an attitude with literal hemming and hawing and began muttering under his breath. After a 5 minute wait, he came back and told me again he didn't think it was a good idea because (something about how I should wait until 34 weeks and come back later). Finally I said that if he had an ethical concern with giving me the shot, we could skip it and I would just do TDAP. "Fine," he says, and hustles into the patient room. I follow him and sit down. He bustles around ignoring me, then turns around with a needle and sticks it in my arm with no forewarning (and certainly no antiseptic wipe ahead of time). Then he turns away and says "you're done" like "you're dismissed". I'm in shock because I've never had a professional (!) treat me like this. 3 weeks later I still have a lump in my arm (and I normally never react to vaccines), but mostly I'm filled with fiery rage that he would feel justified in literally stabbing me as well as acting like a complete jerk because I booked and requested a medically approved procedure AT A PHARMACY. I completely understand how difficult it is to be a medical care provider in the post-COVID world, and I'm sure he was sick of ornery patients and didn't want pushback from a customer, but that is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for what amounts to subjecting a pregnant lady to unnecessary physical pain. A friend called it assault, I don't know if I would go that far but it certainly felt like a blatant abuse of power and totally irresponsible unprofessional behavior. The pharmacy tech was lovely, but the pharmacist needs to be straightened out. read more

What could improve? Everything. This is a time when Yelp needs a zero rating as one is far too generous. My Rx's are at this Walgreens. Three were held for product availability and were shown as 'in progress'. After two weeks of waiting Walgreens simply cancelled one and then said I must have cancelled the order. Now after three weeks two additional Rx's are still 'in progress'. This place needs to be shut down and put everyone out of our collective misery. Go somewhere else. Anywhere but here. read more

The staff is so considerate and friendly. I find them to be really willing to help every time I have been in there. I have even had them walk me to the aisle to show me where something is that I have asked where it is. I also like the layout of the store... bright and cheerful. read more

I went there to pay my rent (pay near me) at Rolkin Road Charlottesville which I been doing for about 5mos. So last month they decide I can only do a $700 transaction and come back the next day to complete it. I showed them the pay slip which says I can do up to $2000. They kept saying only $700 so I just took my business to CVS. read more

After being released from ER after breaking my wrist, we went to the drive through to fill the prescription for pain given to me at the hospital. I had never used this Walgreens for Rx's. The pharmacist said she may not be able to use my insurance card to get my Rx. I said to go ahead and fill it, expecting a bill of well over $100. To my surprise, the total cost was under $3.00! How very nice to know they do their best to find you the best price! walgreens is the only retailer carrying Hallmark cards. I found so many, it was hard to choose! I also have shopped Walgreens for over the counter drugs and other aids. I can almost always find the vitamin I need here, while Amazon and Walmart don't have it available, or at a much higher price. This Walgreens has friendly employees who are helpful in locating what you need. read more

This pharmacy is having major problems. Long waiting times (I waited 40 minutes today and was ultimately unsuccessful in getting my scheduled Covid shot) and seemingly incompetent staff. Someone needs to come in to better manage this place. read more

if I could give this store a zero or negative rating, I would. and I am writing this review the based on my pharmacy interaction, not the store in general. They do not honor, legitimate "good RX" coupons, even though they are listed as a participant. I had a valid, good RX coupon that had Walgreens and all the information needed on it and I was told "their computer" could not except it. Bad business practice, I call that bait and switch. I had a scheduled Covid test at the Pantops Walgreenes, but arrived to a closed drive-through, no phone pick-up, no explaining signs in the drive through, and signs at the front not to come inside if needing a Covid test. Eventually someone who seemed to work in the pharmacy happened to exit. My question about what was happening and what I should do was answered with little empathy saying they could not call to cancel since their phones were down. My inquiry about testing dismissed with some short answer I could not understand. I had received the confirmation of the appointment by email/text. Why could they not send a cancellation? I wasted a good hour away from work for nothing but a shrugg-off and irritation of an obviously over-taxed and stressed staff. I know everyone is short-handed, but this still should have been handled differently. read more

Takes 15 minutes to help three customers at the pharmacy. Then they say it'll be 45 minutes after my scheduled time to get a flu shot. Avoid at all costs. I hope the people that work there get paid well, otherwise they should all walk off. Walgreens inc is massively over scheduling their vaccine slots. read more

Visited for a flu shot. Although no customers were present I was told to make an appointment. After making an appointment I showed up fifteen minutes early as requested. Approximately ten customers there with only one employee handling purchases and vaccination requests. I left after thirty minutes with eight customers still ahead of me. read more

Horrific! Over an hour late for both of my scheduled vaccinations for my children. They can't even update the address or properly submit to insurance. I'm still sitting here an hour past my appointment time and the line is literally down the isle, stacked 18 deep! Run away! read more

This is the worst Walgreens I have ever gone to. The pharmacist were great when it was Rite Aid and I never had to wait for a prescription as they always had my medicine in stock. Once it was taken over by Walgreens I have had one prescription lost, and they never have my medicine in stock so I am without my needed medicine for days. They are obviously short staffed as service is consistently slow. I will be switching all of our families prescriptions to another pharmacy despite the fact that this Walgreens is the closest pharmacy to my house. read more
