The worst pharmacy I've ever been to.... Customer service is terrible and extremely slow!!!!! The could care less about their clients. I sent my prescription there and received a message that it was back order, that they could only give me half of the pills, I said okay. The pharmacies told me, we are going to order more and let you know (that was 4/1. I finished the 15 pills that they gave me and never received a notification for the rest. A month later 5/1 I went to ask and pharmacy asked me "if I need this medication" I responded "of course, that is why it was prescribed, she tells me that it will be ready my Monday. Monday came and never received a notification. I switched the prescription to Walmart and in the same day, they told me the medication was ready. Walgreens never call me to give an update on the "back order" medicine. I am changing all my medication to Walmart. Walgreens corporate need to do a better job training these "professionals" Horrible customer service !!!!!!! read more

Worst pharmacy around. Absolutely no concept of customer service. Notoriously understaffed. If you call the pharmacy at any time, you can be guaranteed a wait of at least 30 minutes before you actually talk to someone and during this wait someone will pick up and put you back on hold at least 5 times. Whoever manages this pharmacy should be fired for blatant ineptitude. I have given this place so many chances I just can't do it any more. I will move all of my prescriptions to Wegmans. read more

This is a really nice Walgreens. The pharmacy staff is an incredible team that work well with each other and get prescriptions done on time. The inventory in the front store is a bit low though. Just called the pharmacy at 1:11 pm because I know their break is at 1:30 pm to 2 pm and I wanted to be respectful of that. I was kept on hold for 19 minutes with "one caller ahead of me" until the break started at which point an automated message said they'd be on a meal break from 1:30 pm to 2 pm. Lazy staff. read more

I stopped at Walgreens to pick up a photo that I had ordered from their photo center. There was no one behind the counter. I waited a few minutes and no one arrived, so I went to the cashier. There were several people in front of me, so I waited in line. When I made it to the cashier, I said to her that I needed help at the photo center. She said she would be right there. So I walked back to the photo center and waited; again. Meanwhile, she kept taking checkouts at the cash register. I waited my turn in line and yet she checked out people that arrived after me. She should have closed the cash register and told everyone else that she would be right back and then met me at the photo center. That didn't happen, so I finally decided to leave. When I walked past the register, she stops me and says someone was coming and to wait. So I go back to the photo station. I'm looking up and down the aisles to see if anyone was coming. There wasn't. So after wasting all of that time, I left the store without my photo. read more

I'm upgrading my rating to four stars because Sandy, Sarah, Thu, and others have helped me when I encountered problems with prescriptions. The level of help at this pharmacy varies widely by who is helping you. However, if the person I'm dealing with is not so helpful, the next person usually is. The usual things go wrong here: phone calls get cut off so that you have to call back, sometimes prescriptions are promised for one day but don't arrive for another 24-48 hours, etc. But this pharmacy is much, much better than the local CVS. read more

Yes, the people are friendly, but this is otherwise a standard, nice, clean Walgreens. HOWEVER, this Walgreens now sells BLUE BELL ICE CREAM!!!! This automatically puts it a cut above other convenience stores in my opinion. And the Blue Bell selection even includes a few seasonal ones, not just the basics that generally appear outside of the base areas! YUM!! Had an emergency prescription called in one evening. When I arrived, they said their phone system had been down for 2 hours and it seems like the messages are kept on a cassette message recorder from 1983 because there was no way to access prescriptions. I asked if they could call another pharmacy, but they said I can do it from my own phone. I then asked for buffered aspirin, but the pharmacist on duty brought the safety coded and didn't know the difference between the two. Next day calling store but either phone system is still down or it just doesn't give you the option to connect to a person. read more

For the second straight physical visit, it took more than a half hour to pick up prescriptions that were ready. Today (7 October), it took 51 minutes using the drive-thru. I have utilized their free delivery service but there is one medication that is restricted from being delivered; Walgreen's policy despite the fact that I would be home well within the delivery window. The staff there could care less how long it takes them to do their jobs. This is THE WORST operation I have ever encountered and I will see if I can get the one medication that cannot be delivered filled somewhere else. read more

This place used to be great. Now it's barely one star. Prescriptions take forever to be filled, and if you point out a mistake they've made, they either blame you or make excuses. The store is fine. The pharmacy used to be my go to. I switched all my meds from another big name pharmacy here a few years ago due to this location being more convenient. At first it was fine. Over the last 18 months it's become a nightmare. It's a fiasco anytime I get a prescription filled. And God forbid I have to call for any reason, I'll be on hold a minimum of 15 minutes and when I finally speak to someone there's a 75% chance they'll be rude. read more

I waited in line today for 43 minutes to pick up one prescription which was supposed to be ready on Thursday but wasn't ready until late last night. They keep telling customers that they are shortstaffed. This has been going on for MONTHS. I showed up one evening to pick up a prescription when the pharmacy is clearly open until 9 PM but they were closed at seven because there was no pharmacist on duty. This place can fuck off. Every time I come to pick up my prescription, they are always so slow. The line in the store is always long, not because of too many customers, it's because it takes forever for one person to get what they need. The drive thru is even worse. It's the afternoon and I was in the same spot in line for about 15 minutes. I understand if this happens once, but it's every time. Really annoying. read more

Staff is usually helpful when you ask them questions about parking. The pharmacy is usually very busy or understaffed. Expect a wait. Go in at odd times during workday to avoid lines at checkout or pharmacy line. There is no self checkout like other places - so be aware there can be long lines at checkout at peak times. I like that this Walgreens sells Bluebell ice cream. Otherwise, this pharmacy is one of the most frustrating businesses I've experienced. I called the day after my dentist submitted a prescription to see if it was ready. The computer system did not help and I was on hold for 20 minutes. There were 3 occasions where the phone rang and it sounded like someone picked up just to go back on hold. I had another occasion where they answered and said thank you for holding and put me back on hold immediately. Because I have a job where I cannot be on my phone all day waiting for someone, I had to hang up and call back. When I did, I only had to hold for about 12 minutes. However, during that time a worker answered the phone and took my information only to put me back on hold. Then, another person answered the phone and asked for the same information. They stated that my prescription would be ready in about 20 minutes. In other words I had to call in order for it to be prepared. Now, I've been standing in line for 20 minutes waiting (and still waiting) to pick up my prescription. I spent an hour of my day trying to get a prescription from here. I'm sure they're busy and understaffed, but they're also inefficient. The positive is that they are kind people. read more

Quickest pharmacy service ever, 20 minutes. Unbelievable for this area. Pharmacy manager makes a 1:1 relationship with his patients and it's like what pharmacy's used to be like, old-school but he's really doing his JOB as he should be, like a real pharmacist. The rest of the team members are kind as well. The store is always clean, and it's fully stocked, great little place to pick up your prescriptions and pick up whatever you may need in the meantime! 5 stars, highly recommend for pharmacy services :) read more

This pharmacy used to be better, and that why I switched over here from CVS despite the higher cost of medication, BUT their service has gone down precipitously! I have been waiting over the phone to speak to someone for a minimum of 45 minutes to over an hour continuously. When I finally have the time to pick up my meds, they don't have my meds ready DESPITE promising me they'll be ready for pickup! The lines are long and the service is poor. Having just moved and not setting the printer up yet, I needed to have a photograph printed for my kid's class activity so I went to Walgreens to print one out. Getting in the store from EB 29 is a tad tricky; its easier to do a u-turn than make a left. I took my USB flash drive and printed 2 pictures and the ticket said my order will be ready in 30 minutes. However, one of the staff asked if I was waiting for photos and immediately printed them out for me! Now, that's service! Wow, I was super impressed and the quality was great! Okay, I just had to write a review. I got off the phone with the pharmacist, Brian?, who promised he'd call back today. Well he did, gave me the good news that I needed and I was just happy with the wonderful customer/patient service! He followed through with his promise, same day, and all is well. Went several miles out of my way to pop in & grab a few things needed that were reliably at this location but not at their competitors' shops. At the cashier's station, after i typed in my customer loyalty program PIN, a new loyalty program offer appeared as a Yes/No button on the credit card reader's tiny screen. I asked the cashier what it was & she said it was a new customer loyalty plan if you want to opt in. Concerned that it might not transfer my existing points, I selected No. But to my disbelief, $25 of loyalty points, accumulated from hundreds of dollars spent in recent months, just went poof. A $2 choice showed up instead. Asking the cashier to explain she said "you lost them when you didn't transfer them when you declined to enroll in the new program" The illogic of that was just epic, but she said it as if it should've been as logically tight as a solved Rubick's Cube. There had been nothing displayed that had even remotely suggested anything about the cancellation of my existing loyalty program or a risk of loss of points if a new enrollment was NOT chosen. She told me that she could not restore my points so I asked her to called a store manager to help do so. Without asking me anything he immediately took a cantankerous tone & attitude. After bearing all I could of the manager's unsympathetic rant, I just simply walked out. They lost not only that $60 sale but they've lost my future purchases for at least several years, if not forever, as well. Prior to that unpleasant encounter, I had shopped at this location for over 8 years, and I actually had come to very much LIKE the store and it's employees for their customer service, product quality & good prices. But all of that was wiped out in an instant with a crusty cashier & a menacing manager. Drove home unhappy that the items I left at the counter were not in my car. That evening I found the identical items for $52 on Amazon. $8 less plus delivery to my doorstep with free shipping scheduled for arrival in just two days. Walgreens, if my experience is the result of a willful point purging scam to reduce your accounting ledger liability, shame on you & stop that. But if it's just POS ineptitude, I hope that you will get a better clue about the number one most important factor in competitive retail - customer service. Retailers who can't figure that out, always, with no exceptions, go out of business. I don't care at all about an $8 discount or even $25 of purged loyalty points I likely could have called or written to have restored. It was all about being gaslighted by the cashier & then barked at by the store manager. No recourse. No sense of even pretense of understanding customer perspective. That offends but rubs too at trust of integrity behind the scenes & even scares me in a place that retails food & medicine. The worst. I made an appointment online for a vaccine, which the website noted as being available. When I arrived at the pharmacy check in, the technician told me to fill out the permission form and then to have a seat while the pharmacist reviews the form. I waited one hour before they told me they were out of vaccines! This occurred the day after I called the same Centreville Walgreens Pharmacy to have them look up my vaccine records. While waiting on the phone for about ten minutes the technician hung up, without providing the information requested. read more

I prefer using Walgreens over CVS because the drive thru pick up is so much faster. They are generally fast and nice, and I rarely wait in line. I was able to stop in to get a flu shot and waited 10 mins before being vaccinated. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS FEDEX DROPOFF. I had to return my phone for trade-off and after I dropped it off at this location, my carrier told me they received an empty box. When I went to the store for help, the manager said IT HAD HAPPENED BEFORE AND THERE WAS NOTHING HE CAN DO TO HELP ME. So basically they let their employees steal customer's property and they are not doing anything to prevent it. I know it was from here because when the package was accepted by the FEDEX, the weight of the item was 0.4 lb which doesn't make sense. Shame on my neighborhood Walgreens-Centreville,Virginia.We were feeling sick and sent our daughter to pick up some Covid tests. She comes back with three boxes- 2 tests per box. Each box was around $25 so $75 total. (We are a family of 5 and we all were feeling coldish symptoms and found out our nephew had Covid which we were around the day before. Two of us tested positive) Today my neighbor told me we could get them free if we show our insurance card. I called the store and explained that no one told my daughter they may be free and I wanted a refund. They said no refund and they are not obligated to tell anyone that they might be free at the pharmacy with insurance card.We would have had to go to the pharmacy and ask that question. Why can't they advertise this? It's like stealing in my book. I won't be going there anytime soon.SMH read more

I love Walgreens and this is the location I have been using to fill my prescriptions for the last 2 years. However, if you are going to pick up anything from the pharmacy, make sure to do so inside the store because every time I have gone with the drive thru to pick up a Ready prescription, which is supposed to be easy and convenient, it has taken around 15-20 minutes to pick up my prescription. Tonight, I went to pick up a prescription and it took 10 minutes just for someone to acknowledge my presence at the window even though all THREE people in the pharmacy could clearly see me. They were picking up phones for only 2 seconds, had their eyes glued to the computer screens, and kept walking past the window without making eye contact. If someone said that they would be with me in 10 minutes, that's fine. However I was just ignored and left waiting. This was really rude and annoying made my whole trip there really inconvenient. read more

I normally would not leave a review for a convenience store... but I've been to MANY Walgreen's in my lifetime, and I have got to say that this particular location is amazing! First the store is clean, I've been to many gringy ones. Everything is laid out in an organize manner and it's pretty easy to find items. It's also relatively easy to find someone to ask the whereabouts of something!! The people who work here are very friendly. The Pharmacy is also friendly and quick to help out customers in line. This is a top notch and highly recommend Walgreens! I'm not a big fan of using the photo center though, I hate how it's out in the open, I don't want people snooping to see the pictures I want to print. read more

I've been coming here for years. I have a lot of doctor appointments and medications and I get all of it sent here just because the pharmacy staff is by far the best. The pharmacy manager is Carlene Z., who I've come across many times, and she now calls me out by name and is just always so charming, polite, & friendly. That really goes a long way for me when you might be sick coming in for meds and even more importantly, just that type of continued service on ANY given day is amazing. Thy are consistent. All the pharmacists that I've come across the manager Carlen & one more Caucasian woman with brown hair whose been there for several years too; they are just delightfully to come across and always willing to help or answer questions if need be. ( I moved out of Centreville about 20 mins away, but I continue to go to this pharmacy mainly because of these 2 pharmacists and how well they treat me. I will follow up with the other pharmacists name because I really they deserve kudos for holding down that fort with such great work. Walgreens should really recognize these two. The other staff is great too, all around great store & pharmacy. UPDATE. The Caucasian pharmacist I was glowing about us Laura, she's always wonderfully polite, caring, and takes time to answer any questions I ever have. Both of these pharmacist are literally why I still drive 5 miles instead if .5 miles for my prescription needs. Great caring service. read more

Poor customer service. Incompetent employees. There was only one person at the register and she didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. I went to print off "instant" photos at 11:45pm I waiting 15 in line for one customer to be checked out and we still had one other customer in front of us. When it was finally our turn she walked over to the photo center and didn't know how to do anything at all. She had to call twice. Once to find out and second time to ask about refilling the roll. She hung up and said someone else was coming. We waited an additional 25 min and no one ever came to help us. Very disappointed with the costumer service I received. We ended up going to CVS to have pictures printed it took 5 minutes. Will never be printing from Walgreens again read more

I am SO glad this Walgreens was built! Previously, I was taking all my prescriptions to the CVS further down Lee Hwy. After CVS couldn't comprehend the fact that I was still an Aetna member, but now had a different ID number due to me changing jobs, I said screw it and transferred my prescriptions to this Walgreens. I was also tired of the huge wait at the CVS pharmacy counter. The store's clean, the selection is pretty much what you'd expect for a pharmacy chain, and the clerks do their job well. However, the reason I give this Walgreens 5 stars is the pharmacy. These are the BEST pharmacists I have ever met -- some of them know me on a first-name basis. They told me what hoops I needed to jump through to get a $0 co-pay on one of my very expensive prescriptions (I just assumed the drug wasn't covered.). And, the pharmacists don't treat me like a drug addict when I bring in prescriptions for pain medication - instead, they give me compassion and support. Lastly, the fact that it's 24 hours ROCKS. I developed a horrible infection on Christmas Eve. Went to urgent care off Gallows, and my medication was ready for me by the time I pulled up to the drive thru. Christmas was saved! read more

I actually frequent this place quite a bit. After Target and CVS irked me numerous times with prescription issues- I LOVE THESE GUYS. The shopping center is a little hard to access if you're headed northbound on route 29 so you should pay attention to the turn! This Walgreens just opened not too long ago so everything inside the store is new and clean. The store is very well lit, the shelves are fully stocked up and best of all it's open 24hrs!! I needed to buy this one particular lotion that is only sold at Walgreens but I ended up picking up a few extra things. I would've stayed and shopped a little longer but I got the vibe I wasn't wanted inside that store.. None of the employees at that store greeted me as they walked by and even when I was being rung up he never once even looked my way. I would only return to this store when I need to re-stock on this 'sold only at Walgreens' lotion. read more
