Lastly, what prompted me to even write this review was a young woman named Veronica. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was so helpful which I was trying to create some special photo gifts. She was personable, competent, professional, and so very patient. Such a great attitude, it was so refreshing. Veronica has such a bright and successful future ahead of her, don't let her go Walgreens!

My child was recently discharged from the NICU and requires oxygen support and G-tube feeding, so the inhaler medication is critical. Tina J. acknowledged the urgency, took down all the details, and assured us she would immediately contact the hospital pharmacy (Advocate Health, Park Ridge) to have the prescription transferred electronically. She stated the process would take about five minutes and that she would follow up once completed. None of that happened. There was no documentation, no communication to staff, and no follow-up. Calls to the pharmacy went unanswered. When I arrived the next day (04/10) expecting to pick up the medication, I was told nothing had been initiated. Because of this failure, I had to urgently find a 24-hour pharmacy to ensure my medically fragile infant would not go without essential medication over the weekend. This is not just poor customer service--this is a breakdown in basic pharmacy responsibility and accountability. When a pharmacist is clearly informed that a medication is critical for a vulnerable patient and commits to immediate action, failure to follow through puts patient health at risk. It is concerning to think about how many times this may have happened to others without being addressed. I hope CVS Health takes this seriously and implements stronger accountability measures to prevent situations like this from happening again.

Their pharmacy is understaffed and overworked. I feel badly for the people who work there. There is usually a line and people sometimes get rude with the pharmacist when it isn't really their fault. Corporate Walgreens should add more people. I will say the store is laid out well and is always neat and tidy. But, like the pharmacy, the other departments and checkout are understaffed leading to waits before you can leave. Personally, I like Walgreens for quick purchases. Unless I'm picking up a prescription, I find I go to other quick shops to get what I need and don't consider going to Walgreens.

The main building is nice inside and has plenty of lobby seating before a sales meeting. Inside there is so much memorabilia about the Walgreens family and how they got their start in the pharmaceutical business. It truly is a business passes down through the generations. The office park is located next to the highway for easy access and there is plenty of free parking if you want to come inside and see all the Walgreens collected merchandise through the years.

I have had many occasions where I have to keep my hand on my card so it can read it properly. It's not fun when an employee has come help me out with simple task of completing a transaction. Some losers/weirdos had thrown food on it. It was in my door handle and on my driver's side windshield. It creeped me out because I felt watched since I was only away from my car for a short amount of time. I go to customer service and ask if the cameras captured what happened - the attendant told me, "I don't know, fill out a police report". She said the same answer when I asked if she could tell me if my car was even on camera or not for the ordeal. I get there a processes in place but you can't tell me whether or not my car vandalism was captured on camera? The staff was not helpful - I will not be returning.
