This happened at the Walgreens in Buffalo Grove (15 N. Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove). Tina J. acknowledged the urgency, took down all the details, and assured us she would immediately contact the hospital pharmacy (Advocate Health, Park Ridge) to have the prescription transferred electronically. She stated the process would take about five minutes and that she would follow up once completed. None of that happened. There was no documentation, no communication to staff, and no follow-up. Calls to the pharmacy went unanswered. When I arrived the next day (04/10) expecting to pick up the medication, I was told nothing had been initiated. Because of this failure, I had to urgently find a 24-hour pharmacy to ensure my medically fragile infant would not go without essential medication over the weekend. This is not just poor customer service--this is a breakdown in basic pharmacy responsibility and accountability. When a pharmacist is clearly informed that a medication is critical for a vulnerable patient and commits to immediate action, failure to follow through puts patient health at risk. It is concerning to think about how many times this may have happened to others without being addressed. I hope CVS Health takes this seriously and implements stronger accountability measures to prevent situations like this from happening again.

The main building is nice inside and has plenty of lobby seating before a sales meeting. Inside there is so much memorabilia about the Walgreens family and how they got their start in the pharmaceutical business. It truly is a business passes down through the generations. The office park is located next to the highway for easy access and there is plenty of free parking if you want to come inside and see all the Walgreens collected merchandise through the years.
