Just finished up at Walgreens and I was having a hard time with the app. There was a really nice girl in the make up counter that greeted us as we entered. I went over there and purchased some items and I couldn't get on the app to get a discount. She must've spent 20 minutes trying to help me get on the app and then she called her shift manager Jen over who also helped us so Jasmine was the girl behind the counter. She was very kind and patient very very helpful after I finished, she thanked us for coming and gave us a little bag of samples with coupons for further products to use in the future. Experience and explore the black hole at this Walgreens (Lincolnshire). Three recent visits to pick up prescriptions. The first visit was evening time, drive-up. Wait and wait (you know how it goes - should I come back or wait) - after about 15 minutes, the prescription was delivered through the window along with the cursory 'thanks for your patience'. The second visit was mid-day in-store (clearly strategizing to get a quick pickup). There was a long line so I decided to try another time. The third time, I really needed the prescription (the drive-up was blocked off). There was another long line which gave me the opportunity to watch the inaction. Two clerks providing 'help' to one customer. Clerks wandering and searching for a prescription. A customer waiting and waiting to get a vaccine shot. Got my prescription and not even the insincere 'thank-you for your patience'. read more

Horrible, unreliable service. It seems to be staffing issues as the pharmacists and employees appear to work very hard. Specifically, the online prescription status updates are not kept up to date and are not reliable, more often than not the dates promised when I place an online order are not met and just say "in progress" forcing me to call for an update, and the wait time on the phone is frequently longer than 30 minutes even when the Walgreens message says there is one person ahead of me. As a result, I am looking to transfer all of my prescriptions and have found several other options where the service is significantly better. read more

As a working professional I appreciate the need for breaks. But when customers are waiting in line BEFORE a scheduled break is supposed to take place, I think it's appropriate to assist those customers first. To close your pharmacy while customers are waiting in line, telling them to just come back in half an hour is ridiculous. The lack of customer service is shocking. I keep switching from one Walgreens to another, trying to find one that has consistent and decent service. I'm starting to learn it's not a location issue, it's a Walgreens issue. Visiting from California and i woke up with a terrible ear infection. I called this particular Walgreens after calling the closest hospital and they did everything in there power to help me. I felt so defeated after speaking to the local hospital. They were so rude to me and made my pain feel unimportant. Not this Walgreens though. They not only called my California insurance. They also faxed the necessary documents to get my ear infection medication approved. My medication was approved the same day. I feel this pharmacy went above and beyond to help me. Their staff is also very friendly and they listen to your issue. Everyone in this pharmacy needs a raise !! Thankyou Walgreens.. you saved this California girls day! read more

I made a covid test appointment this morning for 4 pm this evening. I get there and they told me I did not have an appointment and asked to see my confirmation email. So I showed them and several minutes later they say oh yes here it is. After my test they told me it would be 3-5 hours before I had results even though on the site it says I would have them in 2 hours. Well it has been over six hours and still nothing. This is exactly why I pulled my scripts from Walgreens, they never have had anything done on time and alway give some lame ass excuse. read more

-Waited nearly an hour to be told by the pharmacist that they don't take BCBS HMO for a flu shot, despite their corporate customer service confirming that they do. -They still billed my insurance $44 for a flu shot that they never gave her, due to the insurance issue. -Be prepared to wait on hold if you want to speak to anyone at the store before going. I called at 10am on a Friday to speak to the pharmacy, was on hold for 12 minutes, during which time I heard someone pickup the phone and put it back on hold twice. Since people out here would pitch a quick bitch, they would try to keep waiting times at the window minimized, while those inside are made to wait. If I could give zero stars, I would! DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION FOR FED EX!! I dropped off a Fed Ex envelope to this store on 12/8/22 @ 1:48 p.m. This is what happened: the envelope sat at this store for...wait for it...3 weeks and was scanned a second time on 12/30/22 @ 9:13 a.m. The envelope finally arrived at it's destination on 1/5/2023!! (Yes - my bad for not following up on it, however a business associate provided the label and thus, I was not able to get updates. I should have made a copy of the label but didn't. Lesson Learned). I called Walgreen Customer Service (?) and filed a complaint, was issued a case number and never heard back from anyone! I called Walgreens Customer Service twice - they never called me! Not great pharmacy service. I came directly from the doctors office. The office had sent over a prescription to be filled. When I went to pick it up the individual at the window informed me that my "promised time" was not for another hour and a half. So I couldn't pick it up. Kind of frustrating that she was suggesting it was some time that we had agreed upon when really it was just that my doctor had sent the prescription. It seems like I should be able to just go pick up a prescription or wait there until it's ready. But now I have to come back out an hour plus later because there's no budging on the "promised time". So much for 30 minute promises when I get no communications for an hour then get it canceled after three. So many more reliable retailers. I have been using this Walgreens to fill my prescriptions, since it is in my neighborhood. Twice now, they gave me the wrong pills and twice, the burden was on me to bring back the wrong pills and swap it for the correct ones. The correct medication is listed in my records, so when filling my prescription, it's all there in black-and-while. Okay, I might be able to understand one error, but two? I now sit with the wrong pills and have to take another trip to get the ones listed in my file. I'm done with this pharmacy. It's time to take my business elsewhere. read more

I have had problems to the Lincolnshire Walgreens with pill shortages, so I count my pills. But today was the worst. There are NO excuses for what happened. I filled 2 new scripts a few days ago. They did not have the full count, so I was in the store on 2 different times to get the entire script. I learned today, that the new pills I am taking interact with another drug I have filled at Walgreens. I learned this after experiencing problems. The reason to get all your scripts at the same pharmacy is to ensure when interactions could happen, the customer is informed by the pharmacist. According to another Walgreen pharmacist, at another site, when there could be a problem the pharmacy receives a "red flag" to speak with the patient. On neither of the 2 visits I made to the pharmacy within a 5 day period to get the complete # of pills for this script, did anyone tell me. There are no excuses or apologies that can suffice their negligence. read more

I go here too often! The staff is friendly and helpful and they are on top of their game. When the line gets too long they always make sure to have someone else help ring people up. The pharmacists here are a nightmare. I was diagnosed with a bulging, infected ear drum plus sinus infection this morning and the doctor indicated I should go get the prescription filled immediately to avoid a rupture. Naturally I was waiting at the pharmacy window when it opened - my ear HURTS, of course. The pharmacist got all flustered and said, "well, I JUST opened. You'll have to wait." In the empty walgreens? While you attend to ... what, exactly? I basically begged him to fill it (which is his job, right? Being conducted during normal pharmacy hours?). Twenty minutes later, he got around to it. Lest you think the fun stops there, it did not. By the end of the day I'm running an uncontrolled fever and having a lot of pain, which indicates rupture may happen. My husband ran to my doc who prescribed me a stronger antibiotic and another 10 Vicodin so that I could take two at each dose instead of one. And the pharmacy REFUSED to fill it - despite calling my doc, who confirmed it is a second script, that she had just given it to my husband, and that it was an appropriate amount. WTF. I've literally never filled a narcotic prescription at a Walgreens before, so it's not like I am some sort of addict, and my doc reassured them she wrote the prescription because my eardrum is probably going to rupture and that will HURT. Not good enough, apparently. read more

To start off, I am HUGE fan of Walgreens. At 99% of the Walgreens I go to most people are friendly and nice, but this Walgreens was terrible. I decided to stop here and drop off two prescriptions instead of going to my normal Walgreens because I was passing this one anyways. I went through the drive through and they were fine, said the prescriptions were going to be ready in 30 minutes so I went to do a few errands in the meantime. I came back an hour later figuring I had given them plenty of time to fill both prescriptions. I went inside since I had to pick something else up and went to the counter and the woman said they were not ready yet. Instead of working on them she continued to help her/talk with her other coworkers and I finally asked how long it would be and she said only a few minutes. Another half hour went by and FINALLY it was ready (by this time I was already rather frustrated). She rang me up and I said "wait, there should be one more prescription, I dropped off two" and she proceeded to tell me that she remembered me going through the drive through and dropping it off and there was only 1 prescription. After a lot of back and fourth saying I know there was one more and she saying no there was not, she finally went to look in the drop box and miraculously found that she had not seen the second prescription. From there I was rather annoyed and found her unbelievably rude, but I was expecting some sort of "oops, I am so sorry about that", any sort of apology would have done, and yet NOTHING! She says she will go fill it and turns out they do not even have what I need in stock (I know its not Walgreens fault but as you can imagine I was already in a sour mood because of this woman). She handed me back the prescription and I was like, well can you at least see if they have it at another Walgreens!?! Another 10 minutes go by and I am ready to just walk away when she finally says they will be able to fill my prescription at the Walgreens down the street. Needless to say, this ended in me never going to back to this Walgreens, it is just NOT worth the hassle by any means. When I was leaving I asked to speak to a manager and clearly told her what I thought. I rarely ever complain to managers or anyone but they had to know how rude their employee was being to customers and that they needed to correct it. Moral of the story....if you ever need prescriptions filled, this pharmacy is not the place to go!! read more

First I should point out that I am not trying to compete with Kyle H. on the number of Walgreens reviews I do. But I think I have a few now. I just discovered this new and interesting feature about the one near where I work, and which has become a convenient stop for me. I have not seen this "fresh" section in any other Walgreen stores. But this one has a wall of refrigerated prepared foods, salads, sandwiches and meat/vegetable entrees. I have sampled some as a take home option for a light supper and found them very satisfactory. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes, grilled chicken breast. The prices of these meals are reasonable, in the $4-6.00 range and the portions are moderate, like Lean Cuisine. But fresh not frozen. So these days, when I'm heading home from Lincolnshire, I'm getting some decent meals and not just cans of tuna or mandarin oranges or nuts - my traditional Walgreens food purchases. I like the new concept. I don't even care if the people who work there are kinda goofy. read more

I don't live in the area but have been here caring for my aged mother. I was always confident that, if nothing else, the bathrooms in a Pharmacy would be clean. Over the course of a 6 month span, I have found the bathrooms in the Lincolnshire Walgreens filthy. So much for "Be Well" that they like to say. The rest of the store is fine and relatively accommodating - if not super professional. But PLEASE clean and maintain your restrooms. You should be ashamed. read more
