I would give 0-stars for their pharmacy manager and his new "policy" around telehealth which is not supported by law despite any of their bogus claims that it is. We have been fighting with this Walgreens location for years and now have to find another pharmacy provider. I've never heard of a pharmacy telling a customer they can't wait for their prescription. Was told to come back for my daughter's antibiotics once I received a message stating it's ready. That was yesterday and still nothing so my daughter just will continue to get worse and be sick because they are lazy. It wasn't even busy just one other customer waiting there. I go to walgreens all the time to deposit cash on to my card with no issues. The walgreens had me in line for 15 min just to tell me i can only deposit once a day when I was just there a few weeks ago and been depositinf multiple times for years and was able to deposit twice ! Walgreens Pharmacy should pay attention to so many "UN-Happy" customers! The pharmacy is ALWAYS under staffed. I was the second person in line at 8:13pm and my rx's were ready (verified by their messaging system) but it took him 15 minutes to find them (just as it was with the 2 people ahead of me). My receipt showed 9:01pm ~ just to pick up! That's pathetic! Walgreens, you are on too many corners of "healthy and UN-happy"! Sorely understaffed at most Walgreens stores! I would give 0000 stars if I could to the pharmacy tech working the evening of 28 of June. I came it to get a prescription my doctor had ordered it was 730 she said they didn't receive it after I was going to call the doctor to confirm she found it then said it will take 35 min to fill and she would send a text message. 35 comes and goes I call at 850 no answer I call at 9 they close can't pick up my meds so I had to get them the next day risking my vision. I didnt want to believe the many many reviews that this place had terrible customer service and are untrained, rude and not very helpful. I always try to give the benefit of the doubt & give businesses a chance to shine. Pharmacy Specifically: I had tried 3 different times of the day to gauge if waiting time differed but every time I tried (10am 330pm and 7pm(Friday) , all were terribly long waits. Most recently, with only 3 cars ahead of us in the drive thru , it took 1hr 5 mins to get to the window. NOT get meds & already leaving parking lot....i mean get to the window. Then we wait another 12-13 mins before we were helped! The pharm tech was rude; tempered and overall just an impatient person. We had to tell her 3-4 times we have a pre-paid code, she insisted we give her the name its under, btw... other staff didnt ask. Once we submitted our info....She then had the audacity and to say on Intercom loud Speaker that my Adderall Is still being filled! Wtf? HIPAA violations anyone????? I asked why r u naming my private medically private info outloud? Cant u just say, one of your meds starting with letter "a" is still getting filled? I also mentioned that why would I receive a text saying all my meds are ready for pick-up. She didn't answer and left window. 10 mins later, we finally got our meds and left disturbed and uneasy. This is the busiest pharmacy ever. Also the only one with a drive thru in Oakley and Brentwood. Yes it takes a little bit to drop off and pick up a script. But the staff are always helpful and friendly. Give them a little slack they are pushing out several prescription in a reasonable time frame. But they are friendly and try there best to get it done fast. I waited in line for maybe 10 minutes yes it feels like eternity but they are dealing with finding prescriptions in the system, talking with the pharmacist to confirm things and they are also going through the thousand prescriptions behind them to find the stuff you need. read more

Walgreens store #9978, at 6570 Lone Tree Way, Brentwood, Ca 94513 has a horrible, absolutely despicable pharmacy. Every time we need to pickup a prescription, the wait time is exceptionally long. Today 3/23/23, we waited in the drive through for approximately 40 minutes, only to be told my wife can't pick up her prescription, because it is a new heart medication for her. We were told the pharmacist has a block on it, because it was a new medication. The pharmacy tech said we could come inside and wait for the pharmacist to come back from break. If it's not one thing, it's another with this pharmacy. Nothing is ever smooth, and straight forward when dealing with this location. If the can't manage, and staff the pharmacy properly, they should just shut it down. There are dozens of bad reviews about this store online. This place needs serious restructuring. read more

My mother and grandmother was just there today at 6:10 pm to try and get my grammy's prescription filled. Initially, the lady at the front counter was helpful. My elders waited for their meds to be filled. In the meantime, the line got so long and there were people in the drive thru. After 2 hours of waiting, my elders were told that my grammy's meds were out of stock and that they do not mix the compound needed. Why did they make my elders wait that long?? Come on! Don't tell me they did not see them waiting that long! My Grandmother is not doing so well in health but she just needed to be there to present her IDs and stuff. If it's busy, ask for help. I know and understand that this is a very busy place that cannot comply with all the clients in line and online, but, what I don't understand is the lack of organization they are having at the pharmacy. My family and I spent almost three hours waiting to have a flu shot, we filled out all the forms that they gave us. Three hours later they called our names us, we thought that we were going to get our flu shots but it happened to be to ask us complete again our forms and besides that make you feel like an idiot when asking you if you filled out the forms and where did you turned them in? No more Walgreens for me until they get a little bit more organized or get more staff to help them. I like Walgreens in general, I grew up shopping at Walgreens due to their wide availability conveniently located all over town. Nothing really stood out at this location other then Paula. Rude and obnoxious! Never had the decency to even say a hello. She works and talks very quickly - however ineffective. I had my passport photo taken there, she never told me that I wasn't supposed to wear a white shirt and my hair was covering my ears. As a result the passport agency refused to accept this photo. So Paula! If you are in the retail/service industry, make sure you know your products and treat your customers with some respect. This pharmacy store used to be one of my two favorites but with one negative experience, all is lost. I just had surgery on my feet few days ago and since I am on a wheelchair, I asked my wife yesterday 12/12 to run errands for me so I can change the dressing. To be more specific, I listed down the following items Self adherent wrap Gauze pads Sterile saline solution wash She went to this pharmacy which is the closest to our house and with my advice, asked guidance from a pharmacy rep what isle she can get those or help her find the listed items. I even include the picture of my feet with bandage so the pharmacy rep can see what I'm really looking for. Then my wife called me back and said the pharmacy rep she spoke with, barely looked at my list and the picture and said they do not carry those items. Instead, she told my wife to check medical supplies store. Being a once upon a time California Registered EMT and having had a 10 year medical background in the military service, that's the most pathetic advice I ever heard from a local pharmacy rep. I swear to God, I know that those basic first aid over the counter (OTC) items should have been available in their isle since I've seen them before, unless they're out of stock which I doubt was the case. Not to judge right away and to give them the benefit of the doubt, I asked my wife to go and try Rite Aide and see if they have those items. True to my expectations, Rite Aid have them all. I guess Walgreen's should fire their manager not just about this incident but with the miserable rating this store/pharmacy is getting. The pharmacy rep who seems to be too lazy to help my wife or just plain ignorant about her job, should just apply for unemployment and stay home since she was in complete oblivion of her job and her industry. If this is just about a bar of soap, I wouldn't mind. But since this is a medical issue (although non-life threatening), this is not a laughing matter. This establishment should give importance to the health and well-being of their customers and patients, for they are at stake and I guess most people will agree with me. How can this manager condone and be silent about this kind of abuse they're giving to the public? How can they hire people who are completely ignorant of their job description especially in the pharmacy where the health and well-being of customers are of utmost importance? I know that's its not their policy to treat customers as dumb or ignorant but their pharmacy employee seem to say so. To Walgreens, please be reminded that the job of your pharmacy rep is to help your customers/patients and not to disadvantaged them like what she did to my wife. Best advice, fire your store manager! Really supported this Walgreens when so many negative reviews were being posted. Well that has changed. My husband ended up in the ER today Super Bowl Sunday. Thankfully he was discharged and 3 prescriptions were sent in. Figured by the time we got to Brentwood from Concord they would be ready. They weren't but that wasn't the problem. The problem was probably the worst staff member EVER. We went thru Drive Up...didn't say hello just "Birthdate"! She then proceeded to tell us they weren't going to be released until tomorrow. The only reason a med would not be released is because of an insurance issue. I asked her why it wouldn't be released and she said "Come back in an hour, but we close at 6". Wait what? So I said "Didn't you just say it wouldn't be released until tomorrow?" And she threw me a look and said "I'm doing it as a courtesy but doors close at 6" it was 4:30 so I said we would be back at 5:30. I'm not kidding we got home which took us probably 10 min and I received a text as we were pulling into garage...that they were ready!! We would have waited for only 10 min! So then when we returned we went inside. Her customer service is the worst!! Just like the drive thru...No hello...No may I help you. She recognized us and just said "I need your ID". We were the only customers so it's not like she was stressing. What I don't understand is that the pharmacist was there and has to be able to hear how EXTREMELY rude this girl is. Photo department are the best , I went to get my passport photos and I received a really good service from the person in charge of that department after visited two of the Walgreens located on Balfour that are not giving photo services and they don't see to care about it.
