Called the Warrenton CVS automated pharmacy service to refill a prescription, says it can't be refilled until a certain date. CVS wouldn't allow a refill to be done (had 2 refills left on the prescription) until there was only 3 days left of medicine. Called on the date could refill. System says refill has been submitted. Receive the text saying prescription is ready. Go the next day to pick it up and we're told that the prescription expired the day before and they did not refill it to begin with. This is all within a 3 day period - from refill to driving to CVS for pickup. Why was a text message sent saying it's ready for pickup? No one, within this 3 day period, in the pharmacy department, was capable of picking up the phone to call and say we are not able to fill please call the doctor to get a new prescription sent in. How sad is it that customer service has become a lost art and the pharmacist there at the Warrenton CVS couldn't care less what emotional stress they are causing. How did they even become a pharmacist? Sadly this wasn't the first time the Warrenton CVS did this to us. But, it was definitely the last. Won't ever use them again.

Pharmacy called us upon receiving our cat's faxed prescription from our vet to advise that since this was for a compounded medication they required a credit card number in advance, which was fine (I hope - lol!), & the medication was available for pickup the following day. Folks were friendly over the phone, & husband had no problems when picking up the medication. Cat seems to be tolerating medication fine, so I'm assuming everything must be (as it should be) identical to what we were receiving before. So far, so good, & I look forward to finding out if the trend continues when I need to renew out dog's medication.

CVS, Jewelry store, Staples, Optometrist office (home of the former Blockbusters). I complained to a floor manager who was very busy, but eventually he opened one register. I had a full cart and considered abandoning it moments before. Fortunately I got through and the person at the register was good, but something has changed in Warrenton recently. Most of the employees assigned to cash registers are slow and barely functional. Not all. In fact, I will go out of my way to avoid certain ones and even stand in a longer line. Particularly ones who sit down. I will still get most items at Walmart, but I have started shopping at other grocery stores for mid week needs. I just don't have time to spend 20 to 30 minutes in checkout. The result is I will spend less money at Walmart.
