Getting here wasn't horribly hard, but I contribute that to the early morning hours. Pulled in and right up to the pumps. While I filling up the tank my Dad went inside to fill up a coffee cup. After I finished at the pumps I also went inside to get myself a drink. I am not a coffee drinker, but I still needed my caffeine. I went with the coolers and grabbed myself a sweet tea. Checking out inside was quick for me as I went the self checkout route. I can only imagine what this place is like during the daylight hours. Maybe some time in the future I will venture out this way to check it out.

Then went inside - ordered a breakfast Sammie to go: Sausage, egg, and cheese - with extra sausage and cheese - on a croissant, plus an order of mini hashbrowns. As with all Sheetz - you place your order at a digital kiosk - which spits out a receipt - that one then takes up to the register. Paid with Apple Pay. Food came up quickly - they call your order number out over a PA system to advise it is ready for pickup. First time I've seen that at a Sheetz! Food was hot and tasty! #Sheetz

I had a hard time reading the small LCD screen on the pump - but managed it and refueled. Afterwards, I went in - thinking that I might order some fried chicken to go since their is a sign advertising this on the outside. First I hit the restroom. Absolutely disgusting. How can anyone run a business - and have a restroom in this condition? Gross. It needs a serious deep cleaning - and then regular maintenance and cleaning. The restroom conditions were enough to make me not want to order any food prepared here. I bought a bottle of cold water and was on my way. I go through Checkout #1, and was rang up by a #Teeter Associate. I was tempted by the sales, and purchased far more than what I had originally gone in there for. I pay with my card, and ease over to the Customer Service counter to play my Powerball numbers, after my items are paid for and bagged. Afterwards, I head towards the door, briefly looking at #Starbucks mugs and glanced over at the holiday candy that was being stocked. In my peripheral vision, I see 2 Managers easing to the front, 'incognito,' or so they thought, but I still didn't give it a second thought, that is UNTIL my cart locked up at the door on a dime. My original thought was that I had ran over an item on the floor, so I tried to move again. By the time I looked up, a Teeter Associate was at my cart with a scanner to UNLOCK the #AutoCartLock that #HarrisTeeterHT have now installed on their carts. When I asked the Associate why my cart locked up, she said, "you were not at the register long enough for the system to deactivate the lock." Like, #WTF!!! What the hell you mean I wasn't at the Associate manned register long enough, when my receipt look like a long #CVS receipt, and it's almost as long as my damn legs, and I'm 5'10" tall?! I didn't use the self-service registers, and have ALWAYS refused to use them! She unlock the cart, and apologize. That's not gonna fly with me! You don't lock my cart up, while other customers behind me walk out without incident! I'm NOT buying the BS they tried to sell me!! I turn around and go directly to CS. Those same 2 Managers come to the counter in an attempt to explain away the stop, NOW blaming it on a broken sensor at Register 1. Now, for the sake of argument, if they KNEW the auto-release-lock sensor was broken, why open the damn register when there are NUMEROUS other registers to open???‍ I'm NOT buying the explanation, because they know as well as I do, why they stopped ME, and not other customers!! Plain and simple, I was stopped because of the color of my skin, PERIOD!! I refunded EVERYTHING on that damn receipt!! I was too humiliated and mad to accept the TWO weak explanations they tried to peddle!! A day before #VeteransDay and this is what I encountered after clearly being scanned by their Associate!! It's one thing to be questioned in the parking lot by a customer when I park in a #Veteran parking space, and it's another blow to be insulted when I shop and PAY for EVERYTHING in my damn cart, inside the store!! #VeteransDay2025 #Army #RetiredArmy

They have never once been friendly or even in a decent mood when I have come into the store. Actually, it seems that the fact that they need to stand up from a sitting position and waddle one way or the other to the cash register or other part of the store is of the greatest inconvenience to them. Additionally, the conversations, the complaining about other people, customers, home life, etc... save it for when no one is in the store, ladies. No one wants to hear about how someone didn't do the dishes or just generally, how miserable your life is. Be happy you have a job in a small town when you have limited skills, among other things, that would make you unemployable otherwise. That being said, there are a couple of gentlemen who also work here. They are always friendly and give off the vibes that they appreciate your business. They seem to be here in the evening more often, which is the only reason I didn't give a 1 star. Not that it matters, really. So ladies, try to at least act as though you're not a couple of just miserable human beings all the time even though you obviously are. It really sucks that the only other close by option is 7-11...
