This review is for the PHARMACY area only and for the pharmacy tech named DANIEL. She is extremely unprofessional and rude and very disrespectful. My dad went in to pick up his prescription that was filled by his dr. My dad knows very little English and was trying his best to give the information that was needed. My dad called me to ask for our address and as I was giving it I can hear DANIEL yelling in the background at my dad and talking over him and I. She didn't let me speak and just kept interrupting me yelling, being very rude and almost sounding racist. This person should be excused for their extremely disgusting customer service I hope management sees this review and takes matter into their own hands because if that person speaks this way to customers they should definitely not be in healthcare no empathy whatsoever. This store originally had LabCorp in it. However, some months ago they left. I was told that the air conditioning wasn't working and that Walgreens refused to fix it. However, Walgreens said that LabCorp had informed them that they needed more than 30 new employees. I now have to drive, a half hour to the closest LabCorp. I am leaving this review for the Walgreens located in Banning, CA. The address is 60 N Highland Springs. Every month I purchase items for my elderly and physically disabled mother who happens to also be legally blind. I am in charge of her finances so our purchases legally must be separate. I purchased items for $2.79 x 2. The total was approximately $6. When I attempted to do a separate purchase for my mother for about $6, I was told there was a limit and I could not purchase the items. She called the manager Genevieve over and told her I was trying to buy two separtate purchases for the same items. Genevieve told me I could not purchase the items. I explained that my purchases have to be separate because of legal issues. She said they had to be two separate households. I told her we ARE two separate households. The cashier said I could leave and come back and purchase the items. I did leave the store and come back and she said, 'I meant tomorrow." Do I have to explain how petty and rediculous that is? Are you seriously losing a long-time customer over approximately $6!!!??? Are you seriously telling a customer not to purchase items at your store? This woman (the cashier - I think her name is Gloria or Angela) is always harrassing me every time I go into the store. It is jealousy. Once she asked me to let her get in front of me in line while she was on break so she could buy cigarettes. As if what I was buying was less important. Once she asked me what my name was. I told her I was not going to tell her what my name is. She said she notice I was making separate purchases. I told her yes because I have to buy them separately for a different person. This is not unheard of. It is something people do often. Then she said "I don't care if you have two accounts. I was just wondering..." Why is she focusing on what I am doing. She is going beyond her duties as a cashier. In the meantime I overheard employees talking about the high number of thefts at this store. While they are harrassing me about making separate purchases, they could litterally be making sure no one walks out the store without purchasing items, instead of harrassing a long-time paying customer who is buying items for her elderly, disabled mother!!! read more

"Austin Was Smart, Detailed. & Nice" I went online at the Walgreens Pharmacy store web site for the Banning, CA location, to have some pictures printed at their Photo shop, so I could stop by and pick them up. After sending my pictures to Walgreens on line, in about an hour I went and picked up my 10 4X6 color pictures and took them home. I should have looked at them in the store because the pictures are all computer printed, and 1 of my pictures was printed in the wrong direction cutting off the top of my head on the picture. The picture was also very dark. So I went back to the store and met Austin who was in charge of the photo department. Austin was so nice as he took my cell phone and went through very detailed technical procedures to up grade my picture, and to transfer it again to print it in the correct position. I was so impressed with the way Austin explained all of his steps to me, and took a lot of time to make sure that I was very happy with the new picture he had up graded and printed. I verified 4 times in the last week that the specific drug manufacture is documented on my acct. I was told it could be filled on Monday. Went 8pm Monday for pick up, am told can't get it till Tuesday. They can't tell me if Tuesday means midnight or 6am or 6pm. Just Not Monday. Well it's Tueaday, received a call at NOON my rx was ready, wait in line to pick up and they STILL Fill the wrong manufacture. 4 people confirmed the notation is made on the acct. Photo Department- Complete joke! Placed online order for pictures. Online it stated estimated time for pick up 11:09 am. I went into the store at 12:20. There were two employees standing at the counter, talking crap about a customer. I told them my name and the woman stated that the pictures weren't ready yet. She turned around a pushed a button on the machine. She said "It'll be 6 minutes". She walked away. I asked the man any the counter how that worked. That if they weren't doing any other orders, why were mine not down over an hour last the estimated time. He said "Well. If you don't know, that list over there is all orders that need to be done." I said, "Oh. I believe it, considering your machine isn't on and doing them". He walked away from me. The female then came out and put an envelope under my pictures. It was one picture from the end and she walked away, leaving me standing there". I pushed the button for help in the camera department and she didn't even turn around. Complete joke. read more

Went in with an appointment to get Covid booster. Arrived on time, was told to wait in line (4 ahead of me). Had one window open and it took awhile to get served. What's the point? Some one with no appointment and ahead of me would get theirs ahead of me! Took awhile to process paperwork insurance, etc. finally got form, filled it out, and waited and waited for pharmacist to give shot (one on duty to give shots and fill Rx). She said another pharmacist is due in later! After almost an hour received the booster. But wait, there's more! After needed to use restroom. Disgusting! Floor grimy, especially on thresholds and corners. Waste container was filthy, especially top and door. Actual restrooms no better. No evidence of maintenance or sanitation schedule (ie log on door). If this is an example of their sanitation practices, I don't want to see or use their pharmacy again. For ANY REASON! read more

While "most" of the front counter clerks are friendly and helpful, the pharmacy department really needs an overhaul. The ladies act as if they hate their jobs and lack organizational and communicative skills. It is uncomfortable to watch the elderly ill,stand in lines that are extremely slow only to be questioned by an employee that hasn't done her research. Shame! Went in to get some rapid covid tests and over half of the store was unmasked despite current statewide mandate for indoor masking. Went to the back pharmacy and there was a sign saying covid tests were at the front of the store, waiting in line at the front to find out there were no more tests but no signs posted anywhere. This Walgreens is scary, the homeless hang out front, sleep on the the chair's by pharmacy and nothing is done about it. Management has one cashier a very small woman or an older man. Pharmacy is painfully slow...I had a prescription called in at 4PM. I showed up at 7:30 PM to pick up my prescription. The line for the drive-thru was a mile long, so I decided to go inside. There were only 4 people in line in front of me...30 minutes later I finally got to the window and they told me to come back in an hour because my prescription had not yet been filled. What a joke!!! I have transferred my normal monthly prescription to Amazon Pharmacy. They have cheaper co-pays and ship my meds automatically. read more

Avoid pharmacy drive-thru late at night. They have a sign on the window that says they MUST take a mandatory lunch hour between 1:30am and 2:30am, but they take longer than that. I got here at 1:18am today and they were already gone. It is now 2:30am and there is still no one available. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because the checkout lady is usually very nice. The pharmacy on the other hand is useless! Every time I try to go there (that's only because I am trapped into using them because they are accross from my dialysis and I don't drive myself) there is a problem. I called days ago for my prescription and they didn't have the decency to call me to tell me that they didn't have it in stock! When I asked why they didn't order it, the woman said that they needed my dr to preauthorize it before they can order it...ok, really?! WTH? And you didn't call the dr why? My husband made several trips for his diabetes meds refill. Nothing he calls the doctor office staff gets angry with him saying they ordered the refill. On the 3rd attempt Walgreens tells him oh looks like an insurance problem. Two weeks to get a refill seriously! A five minute call by us cleared it up. Tonight I come to get my moms meds. Of course not ready again. So then I find out it's because insurance won't cover it. Second time NO CALL about insurance issue . I only use this pharmacy as a last resort because it's the only 24 hour pharmacy around. I have been treated like an idiot and criminal at moments when I most needed help. I recently requested a prescription transfer to this store because I needed medications over the Thanksgiving holiday (my preferred pharmacy is closed). This pharmacy is horrible. I went to the drive thru this morning to pick up my meds and brought my loud mouth chihuahua who started barking and wouldn't shut up. The clerk at the window must of had a bad phone connection because her voice sounded tiny and tinny and weak and I said "I'm sorry I can't hear you, and she repeated and I said I'm so sorry can you repeat? The whole time my loud chihuahua was yapping and I had my hand wrapped around her muzzle trying to quiet her down. The clerk yelled "don't blame me! you need to shut your dog up!" which I could hear because she yelled it at me. I was a little shocked at her attitude and told her I wasn't blaming her. I am disgusted by the pharmacy at this store. My 82 year old father went in to look for a finger splint because he fell and was bloody and bruised. When he asked the representative behind the pharmacy counter where he could find such a thing she pointed to an aisle and said "over there". Very rude clerk in pharmacy with long press on nails and a dark brown ponytail. We drove from 25 miles for a COVID booster and she announces patronizingly that the pharmacy is out. "We called everyone." I said we didn't receive a call and she jumped down my throat defending herself - "I didn't make the calls." I said, we're not blaming you." But she wouldn't stop talking defensively. I asked her to stop talking so I can ask the question which was will there be any Pfizer or Moderna coming in? She glared and said, "I don't know." So rude. I have nothing bad to say about this Wal-greens. All I can think of are Pros, so here they go: - Open 24hrs - Courteous staff - Clean floors --Organized shelfs - Stocked - Cashiers look for coupons for you when you are paying - Another register is opened if a long line forms I've not used their pharmacy (but most patrons don't either). The only time you might encounter a less than satisfactory experience is in the wee hours of the night since they only have about 2 people working and they multi-task. read more
