I was in the quieter area next to the reception. The stations are definitely run down and basic. Melody took the time to find out what I needed and matched the color nicely. She gave me a quick trim and curled my hair beautifully. I'm very happy with the results and I would return if I'm back in the area. I'm more value oriented and focus more on function. She highlights such small strands of hair that the result looks natural. It grows out very well, too. Melinda also gives good cuts. She listens carefully and provides what I ask for. She charges within reason - stop in and ask her for a quote. Each stylist sets their own rates. I have found her charge to be less than most stylists in the desert. It's true that the salon is rather bare bones but I prefer to get the best hair care that I can for a reasonable price. I've been to the expensive salons and I find her work just as good, if not better.

That was unrealistic thinking because there are just too many individual products and brands, I suppose. The store is beautiful and is minimalist in design and which gives clean vibes and natural energy. There are a multitude of glass containers to buy and products can be poured in from larger containers, with very reasonable prices for the products themselves. The store smelled wonderful with their soaps in the bins doing the talking. I chose not to purchase anything because for me, it would mean abandoning the brands I love to take a chance on entirely different products that I just wasn't willing to make a leap for. I get that their products are more natural with less chemicals, which is a great thing. But for me, I will keep on the lookout for someday finding a store that refills brand name products to reduce the plastic waste in my environmental footprint.

They've set themselves up as a juice bar and it's pretty charming. I never get out of there under $200, so I try to space my visits! But the routine I'm in stays the same. The products last a long time. The only thing I use that isn't the body deli is a lip mask and an AHA serum. I'm really sensitive, skin wise and fragrance wise, and the Body Deli treats me right. I'm lucky to have them right here in Palm Springs. They have a great points and rewards program, are genuine and nice, and give you lots of samples.

When it comes to lotions, creams and perfumes, I need to sample and live with them for a few days to determine if they work for my skin. As soon as I got home I tried the blueberry fusion cleanser. Not only did it smell divine, my skin felt wonderful. I also applied a scrub, something I hadn't done in years, truth be told. Then finished with a melon scented peptides gel.
