I was making a purchase. I entered my ZIP Code incorrectly. The woman continued to yell at me that my ZIP Code was wrong. It was not wrong. I even showed her my driver's license to show her. It was correct. The woman said if I put my ZIP Code in wrong one more time, I would not be able to make a purchase. I told her I'm just trying to buy items from your store. Keep in mind, my ZIP Code was correct. I was entering it 100% correctly each time. According to them, my ZIP Code was correct in the system, but in the part that has discount coupons, there was a different ZIP Code in there. I get all my prescriptions here, which are a lot. I'm a senior citizen. I also shop here a lot, and I've never had a problem before as far as my address being wrong. I don't work for Walgreens. I'm sorry Walgreens doesn't understand that I don't work for Walgreens. I cannot program my address in their system. According to both employees, you'd better know the incorrect ZIP Code that they've programmed into their system in the part regarding the coupons, or you will not be allowed to make a purchase after entering your ZIP Code correctly three times. There is no way for a customer to see what ZIP Code they have in there, but the people who work there, the only ones who can fix that, are not responsible. It's the customers who are responsible, and we have no way to fix it. There was no apology at all. Just yelling. And she said, "I hope you feel better." At this Walgreens, when the employees yell at you and tell you your ZIP Code, which is correct, is not, and that you can't buy anything here unless you are able to guess the wrong ZIP Code they have put in, they think any negative reaction to that, any complaint about that, means you don't feel good. All I was trying to do was pay for items by inputting information correctly. I have never experinced or heard of worse customer service in my life. This Walgreens makes it clear they do not want people shopping here at all, which is fine with me. read more

Recently every time I want to get a prescription either the Walgreens pharmacy is closed and the hours do not reflect it or the pharmacist is not on duty and the hours don't reflect it. Very frustrating when you need to pick up a prescription????!!!!!!!!! read more

Not following legal practices!!! My fiancé has been on a medication prescribed by a specialist out of state for two years, and we've only ever filled it through this pharmacy. He has a condition that requires constant upkeep, and due to such, he had to have his dose raised. When the prescription was submitted, they kept refusing to fill it. I assumed perhaps prior authorization and contacted the insurance company, came to find out the pharmacist that works here and runs the department is personally declining the medication prescription. She stated it was because the address is from out of state, so my prescriber contacted her with a new script with an in state address, and she still refuses to fill it and will not give us a reason why. She argued so profusely with my prescriber that my prescriber actually had to report the pharmacy, and personally put this pharmacy on the "no fill list" for their practice. They also had to report it to the TXHRC because they believe this pharmacist is personally discriminating against my fiancé for being a disabled adult. As soon as it was sent to another pharmacy, there were no issues filling this medication. I sincerely hope whoever is running the department learns that when you become a provider, you sign a Hippocratic oath of nondiscriminatory care, and just because someone is taking a medication that is a controlled substance, does not mean that you get to state whether or not they should take it. You could have killed my fiancé. Please do not play with peoples lives because you are uneducated. Thanks. read more

The pharmacy team is great and is very helpful... quick and courteous. Thank you!

I'm a local. Stop here weekly and use pharmacy heavily. Nice store, clean, quiet, diverse, friendly. Never a line or wait at pharmacy, and ALL the pharmacists and assistants there are always some of the NICEST people in the world I swear. Friendly overall, easy parking. I shop at all hours and parking lot is safe. It's nice to see the same people who work there repeatedly, feels local and not a national chain. Def glad I chose here as my pharmacy. read more

Man, the pharm tech at this location is all kinds of rude. It's almost comical because they let her get away with it. I have video of her telling the gentleman behind me, after waiting so long, that I was going to be her last customer because she was going to lunch. Why couldn't you have told him that when he first walked? Hateful. And just plain miserable. I used to like going to Walgreens but not anymore. If she's running the register, I'll go across the road to H‑E‑B and have them transferred. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. There is a lady at the pharmacy who not only is incredibly unhelpful, but YELLED at me over the phone about the stupid app. I have to use the app and the drive through because I'm disabled, but this woman spoke to me like I was an idiot for using the app. I'm not the only person this has happened to either. I would rather drive across town than speak to this woman ever again. Do better. read more

Car broken into at this location last night. The video surveillance sign was right in front of my car but the manager said they don't actually have any cameras or videos outside. Not a safe location after 8 pm anymore. read more

It's 4PM and whoever is on the phones at the pharmacy answers and hangs up after leaving you on hold for over 15 mins. I have been trying to call about a prescription for over 2hrs and not been able to get a hold of anyone. Made an appointment to get a drive through covid test at 10 a.m. and got to the window at 9:47 after waiting in a long line. I was told there was someone ahead of me (again my car is in front of the window) that has an appointment at 9:45. She asked me to circle around and come right back. There was a line of 5 cars when I got here and now there is a line of 4 new cars. I am sick and I want to go home and rest. Seems Walgreens doesn't care and wants to be behind on appoints to people that show up on time have to suffer. When I finally got back up to the window my appointment time had passed and was treated just as rudely as the first time. Just a horrible place with poorly trained people. read more

Best pharmacy ever. Super helpful and organized. The people complaining in these reviews are just lazy and won't take any action to make sure their medication and prescriptions are in order. They expect it just to happen! Who emails Walgreens and expect them to just fill the prescription? What the hell is the matter with you? read more

The lady at the photo counter was the singular most miserable person I've ever had an encounter with. I absolutely hated my experience there and her disgustingly condescending attitude. I wish I could give JUST THE PHOTO COUNTER 0 stars. read more

Came in for my booster shot which is never fun but Destiny and Kelsey made it a breeze. They were just absolutely fantastic! I was in and out within 5-8 minutes. Why is this Walgreens always closed? I went to pick up my medicine on Saturday 4/16 and they were not open, if I were to know this I would have got that medication transferred to a different Walgreens. Now it being Sunday they are definitely closed and I've been throwing up for 2 days since I can't call and get my medication transferred to a different Walgreens!! read more

My wife has been trying for 6 months to synchronize our prescriptions using the Walgreens "Save a Trip" program. They keep messing it up and blaming my wife. Every time the prescriptions get synced up, the next month they get unsynced. Walgreen's corporate also did not know how to help, they passed the hot potato around with nobody ending up understanding or knowing what to do. We suspect it is a system malfunction, with this Walgreens unwilling to dig into it in any meaningful way. read more

This pharmacy is the best, kindest, and fastest in Austin. Whoever the pharmacist is, is doing it right and I am very appreciative of that. The pharmacy staff is really friendly as well. Thank you Walgreens Pharmacy! read more

Worst experience, waited 4 hours to get my prescription, delay, attitude, disrespectful employees, will never go back there again

Here's a tip - if you shop at the 24 hour walgreens down by Duval and 183 - you are probably paying a dollar more for just about everything - yes the Walgreen's on Mc Neil isn't near the pricey Arboretum and Great Hills - so for us working class folk - we're paying a dollar cheaper. Minus one star because its not open 24 hours - only open 'til midnight and another star since its Walgreen's; then again the days of the Rexall drug store - or corner drug store - well that was then. read more

Walgreens - the shelves of a grocery store - Drugstores Near Me - Austin, Texas

This Walgreens is nice and clean, I had to go at least once a month for medication refills but my new insurance won't accept Walgreens, I'm glad I don't ever have to deal with the rude pharmacist (tall guy with gray hair). Some one should tell him that he get paid to be approachable and helpful, and that can be rude and miserable while off the clock. The rest of the staff is always pleasant and sweet. Everything is overpriced but that's what you get for being too lazy to go across the road to the grocery store. read more

The pharmacists here were extremely friendly, informative and helpful. I went to get a flu shot because Walgreen's is participating in the effort to get those without insurance or who are under insured vaccinated for the flu. I really appreciate that. Got my shot and am prepared for flu season now. While I was there I also shopped the cosmetics department. I was asked if I needed help finding anything much in the same way I would expect from a department store which I didn't expect. Normally one would just wander around a store like this looking for ages before finding what one is looking for. The sales clerk was super friendly and helped me make a return of nail polish as well. I would say this Walgreen's is a class act. read more

I'm 39 years old. STOP asking me for my ID every time I come in there for cigarettes. It takes 5 minutes to take out $20. That is ridiculous. read more

I am only giving this a 5 star review for the absolutely NICE guy that welcomed customers into the store, checked out my items like he was HAPPY to do so, and I left glad I came in. I am not someone that plays the race card every chance I get. I am very sure that this is one of those situations. There was an elderly lady that refused to sell me some beer and cigarettes. She called her manager. Her manager was signifacantly younger than her. I was purchasing beer and cigs. The beer was for me and the cigs were for my cousin. The initial lady (elderly) said that she could smell beer. Anyway, my cousin didn't have money and I was trying to purchase beer for me and cigs for her. They refused to sell us anything. We were not drunk and boisterous. It was totally uncalled for. We left and went to another store with no problem. Beer and cigs accomplished! RUDE! You should not try to judge a book by its cover! read more

This Walgreen's sucks. I've tried to get a Rx for medication and they only had a few pills so I could only have my rx for a few days. Wtf? Next, I actually bought a lot of nail polish from this store, and hey call me crazy, but I actually like to try it out on a nail before I buy it. Why? Because sometimes it doesn't look like what you think it will judging from the bottle alone. I.e. sometimes that marvelous green color looks a little more sickly green than what it appeared to be. I know, crazy, right? I've never had any store in my entire life have a problem with me testing a nail with a color of nail polish, but one cashier in this store actually had the nerve to stop me and say "We don't allow our customers to do that?" Excuse me? I'm a customer deciding to buy a product. It's not that big of a deal, really I promise. You act like I'm going to bankrupt the Sally Hanson corporation, when actually, if pressed for an answer I think they would approve of anything that helped sell the product. It's like that scene in Fargo when Steve Buscemi pulls up to the toll booth and the attendent makes a big deal about $2.00 parking because that's the only power they have to exert in their lives. I want to respond with "These are the limits of your life, pal!" In the movie, Steve Buscemi gets put into a wood chipper or something, and doesn't want to debate people but I wasn't up to anything like that here. I was looking for a new cute color of nail polish. Anyway, congratulations Walgreens, I'm never buying any more products from your shitty, poorly kept store again. read more

Go elsewhere if you are sick and need a prescription. 100+ temp, Dr. called in med. Go in about an hour after the Dr. visit - told - oh, it won't be ready for another hour. Myabe 40 minutes if you sit and wait. So, I go home and come back one and a half hours later. Coughing like crazy. Sitll made to sit for 40 minutes while they "work on it". Well, you can see who is working and who is chatting. I do apologize to the other customers who now probably have my flu. Switch your scrips to the HEB across the street. Can someone here at least pretend to be concerned about patient's health? I mean, this is LIFE and DEATH we are talking about here. The answer should never be "oh well", "not my problem", or "I don't know what you want me to do". No one should have to wait around for 3 days for an error in your system and then be told after YOU call THEM that they don't have any information back from your doctor. After three days? Really? I bet I could get them on the phone in 5 minutes - it's a doctor. And you didn't think you should call and LET ME KNOW? I'm not calling for fun and I'm not buying a slip-n-slide. Medication needs to be timely, urgent, and treated as something that matters. I'll be changing over my family of 5 to a new pharmacy immediately after today's reaction from their staff and will never shop here again. read more

My first experience at the new Walgreens was not the best. The pharmacist was not helpful at all. She did not listen to me and was very patronizing. She only entered one of my three prescriptions through my insurance and I only found that out because I left upset with her and called my insurance company and they informed me of that fact. I was going to be charged full price for my prescriptions. I went back and spoke to a pharmacy tech who was much nicer. I, however, had to speak to the original pharmacist before I left. She again was patronizing and rude. CVS down the street might make mistakes a lot but they have always been very nice. Customer service goes a long way. read more
