Easiest 1-star of my life. I've spent 2-3 hours here over 4 visits annnnd...I still don't have my prescription. It all started with my prescription being sent to the *other* Walgreens on Northern Lights. That one no longer has a pharmacy. I naively assumed the script would be transferred to this location. I waited in line here for an hour to find out that was not the case. The line was probably an hour because Walgreens is shutting down pharmacies. So I called my doctor and had them re-send the script. I then came back 3 hours later and...they didn't know what I was talking about and told me to take a chair. It was getting late and I was starving so I left. I came back the next morning when they opened up the pharmacy and there was already an enormous line. My food order was done at Spenard Roadhouse and it looked like I still had another 20 minutes in line so I left so my food wouldn't get cold. I came back later in the day and waited 30 minutes in line and they told me they didn't have a phone number for me and would text me when it's available. FINALLY. Why did they not just do this from the start? (It's now 4 hours later and I still haven't gotten a text) So one more wait in line and I should finally have it. The parking lot here is filthy. Filled with debris and detritus that could damage your tires or footwear. I saw someone doing intravenous injections near the door on one of my visits to wait in line. Rough spot. read more

They are TRYING! The people there are PEOPLE and they are trying (from what I've seen and dealt with) their best with the little that they have. They are pretty understaffed and yet they show up to work every day, doing their best but also dealing with the ginormous amount of orders and people that come in. I think for what they have to work with they are really trying and I'm sure that's not always easy especiallly when there are a lot of complaining people and impatient. Yes I understand some people need their prescriptions right away, but again that isn't the workers fault if it is not in nor can be in for some time. We have to treat them like PEOPLE because that is what they are! They need care, love and patience too! read more

Its a hit and miss with Walgreens. Sometimes we get poor service while at times its all good. We have heard from doctors offices that Walgreens will be closing up locations soon which we haven't heard anything fromWalgreens at all. I was notified by Walgreens on 725 Northern Lights to pick up my prescription and when I arrived it took approximately 15-20 mins for the car ahead of me. When I pulled up, I saw why it takes so long. I see 3 pharmacy employees just doing nothing, one is just staring out the indoor window, the other was standing with a basket doing the same thing and the one that finally came to the drive thru window was on her iphone for quite some time. I understand they are somewhat lacking in ethusiasm but to not acknowledge customers who see them in plain sight making customers wait on them? I switched to Walgreeans from CVS as store location was closer. I'm going back to CVS and I'm sharing with friends and family my experience. read more

I'm from out of town. And I'm going to hazard a guess that this pharmacy is the cheap place in town. Because there is ALWAYS a long line of people waiting. It's understaffed, obviously. The pharmacy does not answer the phone more than 3 times an hour and in my case they didn't have my medicine in stock. Ok. But they also did not know any other stores in town (including Walgreens) that might have it. And they didn't know when other stores closed either. Big mistake sending my prescription to them. I'm not sure why this location has such low ratings. I frequent this location and I've never had a problem. Pharmacy wait times are a little long, but they've always been helpful. The people at the front counter have always been super helpful. Today when I was there I couldn't find a product I was looking for and the manager called around til he found a store that had it in stock. I also Iike this location because it has a Redbox inside. I often find great seasonal items for as low as 90 percent off. One time after Halloween I got a bag of candy corn for 9 cents. I'm pretty sure it costs more than that to MAKE. This review isn't so much about my customer service (it was pleasant btw) , but an observation of another's - this woman was just throwing a fit at the pharmacy that it could heard at the front of the store. The pharmacy is at the back of the store... I don't know the whole story and she may be justified - I don't know, but my respect goes out to the staff who maintained true professionalism and calmness. They never raised their voices and from what I observed were trying to accommodate and resolve the issue. I've dealt with situations like this in my career and it can be difficult to be calm and level-headed when someone is yelling belittling comments. I would rather wait until the following day to get prescriptions than ever have to go to this Walgreen's any time. It has always (5+ times) taken more than an hour after a 30-minute estimate, and one time, I waited the 30 minutes and then an additional 25 minutes for an inhaler. Print label, check out? I'm sure there's more to it than that but 25 minutes for an inhaler seems ridiculous to me. If you're dying and all the other pharmacies are closed, these guys are open until midnight. read more

I'm diabetic. My next doctor appt is next week. Since I'm not having any concerns, we will have a Zoom appt. My only concern is getting an A1C Home glucose test. No problem, check the Walgreens website. There are five stores near me that have them in stock. Sometimes websites have the wrong stocking numbers, so I decide to call and verify. I make the call to the Walgreens at 725 E Northern Lights. I speak with four people, including the manager. They cannot locate the test, even though I tell them what shows on the website. Again, I am told they do not have ANY, and it is only available by ordering online. I make an additional call to another Walgreens at 1470 W Northern Lights. I speak to one person and share what the website lists as available. I am pleasantly told she will verify. She returns and shares that they have TWO kits in stock. Great, problem solved. Since I must drive past the first Walgreens that said they don't have any, I decide to stop and check for myself. EUREKA, THEY HAVE NOT ONE, NOT TWO, BUT... FIVE BOXES! I take two of the boxes, head to the cashier and ask for the manager. The manager is stunned and asked where I found them. Of course, on the shelf labeled for it in the Diabetes Supple section. Then she asked if they were "pushed back" out of sight. I tell her they were not, they were right at the very front edge...right where they're supposed to be! Obviously the staff and MANAGER need retraining. I'm assuming they can read and recognize the 7.5 inch x 4 inch purple box I described to them alongside all the other diabetic supplies! In these COVID-19 times, managers of pharmacies really need to know what is stocked in their stores. Patients depend on them. An A1C test is essential for monitoring diabetes. read more

Really poor customer service. "Free" flu shot cost $41 today... between that and the poor Service from Ashley and the pharmacist... really disrespectful and demeaning. First Ashley ignores my requests about insurance simply dismissing me and telling me I will have to Bill my insurance. The sign says 'free flu shots' but that is only if your insurance pays for it. Screening mine said no and so I had to pay. Misleading and when I followed up I was ignored. Needing the flu shot I pressed on and dealt woth a pharmacist that treated me like a dog. Walked away from me without saying anything. Then called my name from behind me and waved me over like a dog with a hand wave. No eye contact and if ignoring my questions. Come here for an emergency item but avoid this place if you can! read more

If I could give negative stars I would! My 80-year-old mother is suffering (that's the word for it) from terminal cancer. Her doctor called in much-needed prescriptions three days ago. Not only was the one for pain not available, the pharmacy's phone lines have been down for 4 days. Let me repeat that: a busy signal at a pharmacy for 4 days! I called another store and it turns out the problem has to do with a new system that sends calls to a call center. Totally unacceptable and dangerous! This place (and all Walgreens) is a convenience store masquerading as a pharmacy. I'll leave it to other reviewers to talk about how dirty and slow this store is. read more

Empty shelves. Incompetent pharmacy. They have such high theft rates they can't keep half and half on the shelves. They literally do not ever have it. Ever. Not once. Just an unprofitable space they paid real estate for in the fridge. Been working immediately next to this Walgreens for 2 years buying coffee supplies for the office. Don't waste your time if you work in midtown. You are not saving time, you'll end up at Fred's or Carr's anyhow. I asked why they are so consistently out and was told the high theft rate was the reason why. When asked why they don't lock the doors so it is available for paying customers it is explained to me they don't allow for that at corporate. There's a ton of other weird stuff like this through the store rendering it completely useless. Customer service is the absolute worst. Staff are more concerned with quitting time than waiting on customers. I stopped by last Sunday afternoon, 24 March, for a couple of shaving items. While I waited in line I noticed the blonde headed female worker kept telling her co-worker "You know it's almost THAT time, going to be THAT time, can't wait for it to be THAT time..." while she counted the money in her register drawer. She should have opened up the register and waited on customers. Meanwhile, a long line of disgruntled people were waiting on her male co-worker to finish fumbling through an entire basket of chocolate easter bunnies with bad price tags. After the above I guess the young man at checkout found some humor in people with attitudes and began insisting people take a chocolate-peanutbutter egg and telling them "Be well until you return......" His behaviour was strange to say the least, unless the new Walgreens motto is now "Live long and prosper.." I won't be back, and I'll be looking for the RiteAide or CVS instead. My personal time is too valuable to be wasted. If there was a sub-one-star rating this store would have earned it. read more

The worst Walgreens pharmacy I have ever been to. I've got a lot of patience but I waited in line behind 3 people for half an hour, then when I turned in my very simple medicine (tamaflue) and they said it would take 45-hour to pick up! I've never heard of that in my life. I go in over an hour later and they're still not ready. It's literally sitting back there ready to roll but they still needed to do something to it? I had to sit and wait and then STILL get in the back of the line when it was ready! Another 25 minutes! I didn't have a problem with the staff, however, this Walgreens needs to hire wayyy more pharmacists or they need to get a timeline going. I sat in there with 103* fever waiting for forever. read more

I wish I could give lower than 1 star, the pharmacy here is more than incompetent. I had a prescription and they didn't have what I was prescribed so they gave me what they said was the generic version and it wasn't I called my primary care physician and they agreed that it wasn't even close to what I was originally prescribed. When I called here to have it fixed they tried to defend themselves and I really didn't want to hear it I just wanted my prescription forwarded to a place that had my original prescription. Stopped here today looking for a product that wasn't to be had at this location but picked up a couple of things that were to be had here that weren't available at other locations. Saw a cool cashier with awesome eyeliner and a friendly demeanor. Got my points and $10 bucks off. I'd recommend for sales on things like: t.p., disinfectant wipes, personal lube, personal products or anything that has to do with anything you'll ever need. Then she started complaining and talking about the customer in the drive through window. She dropped my ID and credit cards on the floor and was very disheveled. It's the only 24-hour Walgreens around but I suggest finding another Walgreens. Their pharmacy has 3 pick-up/drop-off counters and they were only operating two even when the line was getting longer. There were also about 6 or 7 people in their pharmacy, 3 just sitting in front of their desktops. I have been a Walgreens customer for 9 years in FL and 6 years in Georgia and this is the shittiest service I have ever seen. My Walgreen pharmacy in Jacksonville, FL never let customers wait. The pharmacy staff here leave something to be desired. I called in for refills for three drugs on a Wednesday. Two days later I go to pick them up but receive only a 5 day supply of each. I am told that the rest will definitely be in on Monday. Monday I come back and am told that actually both drugs are on back order. I ask what I should do and get a shrug. I suggest that perhaps the tech call other pharmacies to see if the medication can be located there. The tech reluctantly picks up the phone and locates some of each of the drugs. I ask when I can pick them up and he tells me maybe tomorrow. I ask for a call when the meds and the guy says "Yeah, I guess I can do that". Really? Why isn't it standard protocol to call local pharmacies to get patients' orders filled? The tech acted like he was going way out of his way and doing me a favor. Dude, this is your JOB. read more

Wow, that is some seriously poor customer service. Buy one get one 1/2 off degree antiperspirant, that's all I had. Cashier didn't ask for my card but when I asked about the missing discount she said I needed to be a member. Fair enough, no issue. I used my rewards card app to get my member number, but apparently she can't use it!? That's messed up! She would only accept a phone number. I tried my current number but no luck and couldn't remember my old phone. Another customer offered his card, which the cashier scanned. Still no discount and I did get any other offer from her to resolve it as customers were stacking up behind me. Having mercy on them, I just told her to forget it and walked out. A couple hours later, I did the same purchase in Eagle River Walgreens, borrowing my wife's physical card and was in and out in no time. read more
