So they're very helpful but also aggressively helpful. Still friendly, still helpful. It's just a lot for a little store. I was also in a rush to make my Apple Store appointment so the speediness to get in and out was from me. I think they would have been helpful if I wanted to smell or try out every product in the store. I did learn that their baked Alaska soap is a Christmas soap. Which I had no idea. They do still have other lemony citrus soaps to choose from. My daughter also has a handful of allergies including dairy and nuts, which are sometimes Ingredients in soap products. They helped me to find products free from my daughter's allergens that also smell good. This is so meaningful to get so much care for allergies. read more

Their products have something called titanium dioxide. Example: When the lip scrub is put on your lips and you inhale the titanium dioxide, it is a level one carcinogen don't buy from them. They are selling as a vegan and clean product, they are not. It needs to have a label that says "This product contains an ingredient, not recommended for human consumption." The staff here are amazingly helpful. I never knew we needed a Lush store until a co-worker purchased me a bath bomb for my birthday a few years ago. Now I can't set foot in the mall without purchasing a few items from them. The quality is superb and I don't feel like I'm shoving a ton of synthetic garbage onto my body like the neighboring shop's products do. Love the fact they acclimated to what's going on and have still been able to get our products to us during a pandemic. Picking up in store was amazing and Andrew and Danielle were so helpful in making sure we got products that were JUST RIGHT for us and our needs. They recommended some items to try and gave us samples of those things to see how our skin would react before we commit. I just love customer service like this, the products are amazing but it's also the experience and social interdicts that does it for the companies to get people coming back. Just like their neighbor next door (B&BW), there's always lots of sales associates available to answer questions ans make suggestions. My qualm with Lush is that not all their employees know their products thoroughly. Lush's claim to fame is natural, high end ingredients. Yet some of their employees just regurgitate their spiel without really understanding the products. I feel like for as spendy as Lush is, they should put more of an emphasis of not allowing staff to work the floor until they really understood their product line. read more

We had placed an order over the phone to have it shipped to Juneau - the employee ended up taking our card information and booked a plane ticket for $1,000 dollars. The lush package was never shipped after weeks of calling and asking and being told it had been it shipped. We got a call two weeks later that it was sitting in the store and was never shipped. As an apology from corporate for our card information being used by the employee they sent us an $100 dollar gift card - which felt like salt in the wound. We have been shopping at lush since 2011 - $100 dollars is the " I am sorry my employee went on vacation at your expense." Very insulting. read more

Recently went to the 5th Ave Mall location. My first time in a Lush store. The ladies did ask us to put our masks on; they were polite about it. Maybe because restrictions have eased quite a bit I was able to smell the various products in stock. The ladies were very kind to my recently turned 8yo and even gave him some fun samples. He was so excited to take a bath that night with his 'gifts'. Love love love the bar shampoo and conditioners. Going back soon for other supplies. Don't go here if you want to know what the item smells like before you purchase it. We showed up and they made us wait before entering, in spite of the fact there was only one other person in the store and the sign said a minimum of 10. They told us we had to wash our hands before entering the store and it wasn't optional so I reluctantly did. I was on a mission to get some good bath bombs! Unfortunately they only have two options for the forced hand washing station and both are scents that have a habit of giving me a bad sinus headache. I was told there were only those two options so I picked the lesser of two evils which unfortunately made my hands itchy and irritated. While shopping around we took our mask down to smell a bath bomb we were interested in buying, it smelled disgusting so I'm glad I did that! They weren't as glad and immediately started yelling at us and making a huge scene over us slipping our mask down and putting it back up. We left the store without buying anything. I'm sure these crazed employees, that clearly haven't had any sort of real human interaction since covid started, appreciated us leaving since cash is riddled with germs that clearly would compromise everything. I ended up going to another store nearby that kindly offered us optional hand sanitizer, that smelled 1000x times better than the soap Lush has, and they didn't psychotically scream at us for sniffing something before buying it. read more

Lush oh my lord lush...what i can say to lush. My lush crush started in salt lake and the peeps there were kind of snooty but i fell in love with lush products. I move alot so coming into anchorage for a summer job with the railway..i was not expecting to find a lush store its the last frontier was kind of not expecting much from anchorage until i found the lush in the 5th ave mall right across the bridge from where i live and work.. I have stopped into this lush quite a few times and always am finding new things to try currently digging the rub rub rub scrub and adore my toothy tabs. I have a lady that everytime i am there she seems to be there and she is phenomenal she knows her stuff and is always so sweet....on my last trip i kinda said goodbye and restocked my lush products because my next contract puts me out in the sticks and she handed me a shampoo that was damaged and said to come on back in February when i return. Very very nice with a very caring staff. read more

I love Lush, don't get me wrong. I just can not stand going into their actual store locations. I understand that it's a store policy but I hate hate hate how the employees jump down your throat the second you walk in. I want to look around and do my shopping at my own pace. I do not like when the employees basically follow me around every time I move to a different section and try convincing me to purchase so and so item. I have had an occasion once where an employee had actually put an item in my basket when I didn't even want to purchase it.
