It sounded like they were using some expired product or something along those lines, and that this person who was to do my eyelashes was inexperienced. When I tried to tell the technician I changed my mind about the appointment, the owner came out and convinced me to go through even though I wanted to cancel. That was a big mistake. She ended up performing the eyelash lift without asking if I had any contacts in, which I did, and I ended up getting a chemical burn on my eye balls and had a severe allergic reaction to the products used. When the technician was doing the eye brow wax she also kept going over the same spots over and over again which was very painful. She almost didn't even do the lip wax that I paid for, and I had to remind her. I ended up needing to go to urgent care 2 times and luckily my vision was not affected although I had a blood vessel burst in my eye which filled my eyeball with blood and had scabby painful eyebrows for the next 2-3 weeks. Terrible terrible experience. At least the owner refunded my money, but I would recommend going somewhere else.

I have been seeing her for a couple months for a round of laser hair removal and she does a fabulous job. The ambiance of Alaska Body Aesthetics is pretty nice too. Although, I'm usually in and out of there within 20 minutes. Just enough time to swing in on my lunch break! The rest of the staff at Alaska Body Aesthetics are very friendly and helpful.

After a bad experience at another electrolysis place in town I reached out to Nataliya. She was very thorough with her questions and explanation of everything on my first consult. I have a lot of hair growth due to PCOS causing a hormonal imbalance, and it has caused me embarrassment and made me self conscious for years. I am seeing less and less regrowth every visit with Nataliya and I am so thankful for the progress! I hope to have a 1 year photo to post (if I become brave enough) to compare then to now. If you have acne and want to get rid of it, do yourself a favor and meet with Rebecca for a consultation. From the very beginning I knew Rebecca was extremely knowledgeable. At my consultation, she sat me down and went over how acne is formed, what contributes to it, and what is most likely contributing to your own acne. She asks you to fill out a form asking about your diet, and your current skincare and makeup routine and she touches base with what really is at the root cause of your acne. I listened to what she had to say, agreed to make the recommended changes and used her skin care products she carries in house, and my skin has never looked better. The best part? Rebecca does not push you to buy anything you don't need, and doesn't push you to come in for checkups more than you need to. Which is such a relief. I've recommended two people to her and each person has gotten different recommendations and regimens from Rebecca, which shows me that she is truly assessing your skin based off what it needs and isn't giving out a general regimen to everyone--it's personalized! Honestly I can't say enough good things about Rebecca or her practice. Seriously, get her to look at your skin if you have acne. You will not regret it!

We booked a couple weeks in advance and ended up going on Sunday, rather than Saturday, like we wanted. Oddly enough, they're closed on Saturday. We arrived early for our appointments and were quickly greeted, given forms and asked to use slippers. Within a few minutes, I was taken in for my massage and my friend to her facial. The rooms are lovely, and the spa itself is quite small. Fully functional and they're making great use of the space, but definitely small. My massage was awesome... deep tissue, which is my preference! She worked some magic indeed! When doing more than one treatment, you change into a robe. They have a lidded basket for your belongings and it's taken to your next room with you. I relaxed in one of the pedicure chairs drinking cucumber water while I waited for my facial. Rooms were changed out quickly and the aesthetician took me into her room. She did a great job, however was a little heavy handed a couple times and really spoke too quickly in the beginning, coming across as extremely rushed. As a medical aesthetician myself, it seemed a bit odd, since it didn't come across as calming, which is generally a goal. I kept my credentials to myself, because I personally like to see how services are provided and preformed when they don't know. When all was said and done, I was quite relaxed and we were both very happy with the experience overall. So much more than the local spa we went to last year... to the point that my friend didn't even remember where we went. I guess you know it's less than mediocre when you've blocked it from your memory. As I sat in the entry putting on my shoes, we wondered what they do with the slippers, hoping they're not put on the rack for someone else to wear... moments later a gal comes out with antibacterial wipes, wipes them clean and puts them away. Nice to know! We both agreed, we will definitely be back!
