We worked with them on a 26kW 3 phase system, placed on the Kensington Town Hall building, and they have been attentive to detail, responsive to requests for information, and above all, they have a real REAL eye for performance. They didn't just find the easiest rectangular space and slapped a simple grid in place, but instead they took the time to measure all the adjacent roofs and found a configuration that outmatched the competition by about 5kW of power (20% more DC power than the others). I would recommend them strongly to anyone looking to do residential/commercial/government projects.

The lack of communication was matched only by the bad-faith representations. When I needed my solar panels removed for a roofing project, trying to get them to commit to a date for the removal and reinstallation turned a 1 week project into slog lasting 2 months just because they couldn't commit to a date without me calling incessantly to ask when they were showing up to finish their work. I was hoping this was wasn't representative of their company culture and business ethic and gave them another chance when I experienced a failure with my inverter. After reporting a problem with my array I was told repeatedly that they'd have someone out there "this week" to look at it for weeks. Then after looking at it they finally told me they already had the replacement part on hand, told me it would be fixed that Thursday (yes, I asked "which Thursday") and then ghosted me for a few more weeks telling me they needed to RMA the part. When the new part was finally installed, it wasn't configured to adequately serve my system and my battery backup was suddenly useless. Instead of showing any interest in correcting the issue, they just blamed the batteries, shifted the responsibility for fixing their mistake back to me and disappeared. These folks were pleasant to talk to and laid on the apologies, but the action to make things right didn't follow. I can't recommend them unless you want to waste your time hounding someone just to get a response.

What we appreciated the most, was he worked within our budget! This company is honest, punctual and believes the customer's satisfaction is their priority. Our final payment was not due until cabinets were installed and we were completely satisfied! unheard of in these times! One note, their location in Plaistow is upstairs. Don't be alarmed when you don't see a lavish showroom. This is why their prices are so competitive! Their showroom has everything you need to see. Our kitchen came out beautifully. If we only knew Skofield Builders, with their fantastic pricing, existed we wouldn't have waited 20 years!

I was really hoping to work with this company, but unfortunately my experience was very…read moredisappointing due to the lack of communication. I waited nearly three weeks for my initial appointment. I was told I would receive an email the day before to confirm the appointment and a text message on the day of the appointment with my arrival time. Neither of those happened. After waiting most of the day, I finally emailed around 3:00 p.m. to ask if they were still coming. Only then was I told that they had decided not to come because of the weather. I completely understand that weather can affect appointments, but I would have expected someone to proactively call, text, or email me to let me know instead of leaving me waiting all day. They asked if I could reschedule for the following day. I replied that I wasn't available then but could do the day after or over the weekend. I never received a response. The next day, I had to follow up again to ask if there was an update. I was then told they were fully booked on Friday and Saturday, with the next available appointment being the following Tuesday. What was most frustrating was that there didn't seem to be any effort to prioritize customers whose appointments had been cancelled due to the weather. I understand that schedules change, but good communication and customer service go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling like my time wasn't valued. They may be good at what they do, but unfortunately I'll never know because we never got that far. Their communication and overall customer service practices need significant improvement. I prefer to work with businesses that value their customers' time and make communication a priority.

We had three separate jobs to do. Replacing a window, adding on to a deck and building a set of stairs. Dustin gave us a fair price for all three jobs, in line with other bids we received. Dustin was great to work with. He showed up when he said he would and completed all three jobs in a short period of time. He gave suggestions on how to make the designs better than what we had planned and did exceptional quality work. You could really tell that Dustin takes pride in the work he does. He did an excellent job cleaning up the work site and even raked out and reseeded a small section of lawn that had been damaged during the job. On top of all that, Dustin is just a very nice guy to deal with! I highly recommend Dustin McPherson of Macs Remodeling for any home improvement project that you need done. We will certainly be using his services again in the future.
