My yard needs lots of landscaping upgrades so I was happy to have the owner come out and look things over. My immediate need was lawn mowing and trimming for the summer with adding in some large and small projects. The owner came and we walked my small yard. He took pictures and I was given a quote for the mowing. It was reasonable and I felt positive about moving forward. Then when they came earlier than expected to mow, I was sure I made the right choice. It is always nice to come home from work to a freshly cut lawn. But with this 1st cut, the loose cut grass remained, not raked, bagged or in the expected grass catcher. My bad for not asking as that is something that was just automatically done with my last lawn professionals. A few days later I was walking the property and found that on one side of my house the grass/weeds were overgrown and had been missed on the mowing day. I also found that a section behind the house was left untouched as well. Also found was a lawn decoration that had been mowed down and broken. If I had know they were coming it is something I would have removed. It wasn't expensive but it showed a disregard for my property. The fact that it wasn't mentioned is what bothered me. I texted the owner about the unmowed areas and also mentioned the lawn ornament and a few other things that I noticed had happened when the mowers came through. The owner texted me back and said bagging & dumping would be an additional $10.00 per mow. And to mow the other side of my house, which is actually just a small buffer between me and my neighbor, would be an extra $10.00. If you come out and spend as much time with me walking & discussing a property as small as mine, and you give me a quote afterwards, I don't expect an immediate price increase of $20.00 after just one mow. I moved on to another lawn professional whose quote was the same as my original quote from Globe Green. $20.00 per mow less, with glass clippings automatically removed with their mower and no areas of this small yard left unmowed. AND, the price stayed the same for the season.

I really appreciated this b/c others said they didn't need to meet in person. I got a quote within 72 hours and his prices beat everyone else. I requested sample images of his work and we did the job with Rob. The day the work was being done Rob & his team were extremely professional, detailed oriented & very careful around our property. In addition he know all the safety products on the market so he suggests the items that are the most functional and user friendly. If you are on the fence about hiring someone to baby proof your home just do it. Everything would have been sloppy if we tried to do it ourselves; we would have destroyed our walls. Also, Neil does all the work the same day as the estimate so he in and done. I am really thankful to Neil for doing this for us. He did not rush us into a final decision and we really appreciated that. Since we had seen pictures and videos of the flooring being done in other garages, and because the tech was so great, we decided to go ahead with it. He told us they were booking 8 weeks out and that someone would call us to schedule an appointment. We gave him a hefty deposit. Weeks passed and we did not hear from anyone to schedule, so we called. We did not feel it was good business practice to take our deposit and not call within a few days to schedule. We made our appointment. The day came when our garage floor was to be done. We had moved everything from our garage into our living room the night before. The installers came and tested the floor for moisture and said they could not install and would try again the following day. This was very frustrating because no one told us that moisture could delay the installation and we had a living room full of items from our garage. They came back several times before they were finally able to install, and every time was last minute, no appointment made. Good thing my wife works from home. How do they expect people to be available at a moments notice? During the weeks we waited, we went back and forth about whether to cancel and decided the whole ordeal was so annoying and decided to cancel. I emailed the company to tell them this. The owner called me and refused to give us our deposit back, claiming materials had already been purchased and it's in the contract that deposits are non-refundable. I argued that he was the owner and could refund our deposit if he wanted to and that the color we picked was very common so I believe they could have used it on someone else. I also argued that no one explained about the moisture and this should be made very clear to anyone considering having this process done. He wouldn't budge. We had to either lose the 1k+ deposit and not get the floor done or deal with this frustrating booking experience and shell out another 2k to have it done. We decided to go ahead. Finally the garage was complete. A few days later we got a call from someone to arrange for a payment to be made. I explained to her that the job wasn't even done yet! (We had also scheduled our front steps to be done but of course they were too wet!) She had no idea the job wasn't complete and told us she would call back when it was. Finally the day came to do the steps (again after several attempts at checking moisture levels). A couple weeks passed and I got a voicemail, "I have been trying to call you to arrange a payment." She didn't say her name, or what company she was calling from! And she hadn't called/left a measage before that. So rude and unprofessional. We made the payment and are done with this company. If you want a very frustrating experience and want to deal with rude, unprofessional people, this is for you. Otherwise, run the other way! The floor is nice but every time I look at it I'm reminded of the jerks we had to deal with to get it installed.
