Symphony Concrete Coatings LLC -- A Company I Would NEVER Recommend
My experience with Symphony Concrete Coatings LLC has been absolutely terrible. In my opinion, this company has demonstrated a complete lack of customer service, accountability, and professionalism. I would not recommend them to anyone.
I had my floor coated in 2024, and over time, a couple of small spots developed problems with the coating. I contacted the company in July to get the issue addressed. I was told I would have to wait until October before anyone could come out. I waited patiently for months, expecting a company that stands behind its work to make a reasonable effort to resolve the problem.
When October finally arrived, someone came out and suddenly the issue became a major ordeal. We were talking about two small spots that could have been repaired with very little effort. Instead of simply taking care of the problem and keeping a customer satisfied, they made an issue out of moisture in the concrete and told me the warranty would not cover it.
Yes, the written warranty excludes moisture problems. I understand that. But that does not excuse the way this company handled the situation. They had previously come to my property and repaired the floor once before, and at that time, they never mentioned moisture being a problem. They simply made the repair. So why was this suddenly such a major obstacle when I needed help again?
I also hired an independent professional to examine the situation, and I was told that the moisture did not necessarily prevent the coating from adhering to the floor. That left me questioning why Symphony seemed so unwilling to make a reasonable effort to repair two small areas and resolve the matter.
I spoke with Corey, who gave me explanations that I found inconsistent and frustrating. I was told the floor would be repaired, yet I was also told they would not be coming back because of the moisture issue. I made repeated attempts to contact him, and my calls were not returned.
I then attempted to contact the owner, Gary. He did not return my calls either.
When a company will not even return a customer's phone calls, it tells you a great deal about how seriously it takes customer service.
Because I could not get anyone at Symphony to communicate with me and address the situation, I contacted a local attorney and explained what had happened. I asked him to call the company on my behalf. When he did, he spoke with someone who, according to my attorney, was completely rude to him as well.
Think about that. I could not get my calls returned, the owner would not respond, and even when I sought help from an attorney to get a conversation started, the response was reportedly rude and unprofessional.
This was never about asking for a new floor. It was about two small areas that needed attention and a company that could have made a reasonable effort to resolve the problem. Instead, the situation turned into months of frustration, unanswered calls, conflicting explanations, and unnecessary aggravation.
A written warranty is one thing. How a company handles a customer's problem when something goes wrong is another. In my experience, Symphony Concrete Coatings failed miserably at the latter.
I paid for this work expecting a professional company that would communicate with its customers and make a reasonable effort to address problems. Instead, I was left chasing people who apparently could not be bothered to return a phone call.
My opinion of Symphony Concrete Coatings LLC is extremely poor. I consider my experience with this company unacceptable, and I would NEVER hire them again. I would not recommend them under any circumstances to anyone considering having concrete coating work done.
Based on my experience, I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to do their homework, read the warranty very carefully, and think long and hard before handing over their money. Once you have a problem, you may find yourself fighting just to get someone to return your call.
I would not put myself through this experience again, and I would not want anyone else to have to deal with what I have dealt with.
