I never even had to leave my house to get my stairs recarpeted. Fred brought samples for me to choose from so I could pick which would be a good match to the rest of the carpeting in the house. The carpet was ordered and when it came in, I received a call to set up the installation. The crew that did the installation were thorough, diligent, and professional. All in all, it was a great experience, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Linda S read more

We had our floors done by AJ Rose. An Estimator came by and gave us a price. Weeks later, the day of the installation, I got a call from them saying the workers were at the house about to start the job, but they would have to charge me an additional $1525.00 because they needed to remove the old tile first. It was either I agree to pay for the extra service, or they would leave. I was shocked, but I went through with it anyway because I had been waiting for months to get this job done. It very much felt like a bait and switch. I am very disappointed in this type of business practice coming from a large flooring company like AJ Rose. Beware!! read more

This was a typical bait and switch! I had a written estimate of $2900 for a small room of engineered hardwood flooring and installation, and a couple weeks later the actual cost was $6700. More than double the price?!?! That is an outrageous difference! Of course I refused to do business with them, now or ever. I'm just angry that I wasted so much of my time with them. read more

Service was efficient both on the sales end and the install end. My new carpets are gorgeous. As far as price goes I chose the most expensive thing by far so I don't think I would be a good judge of cost comparison. Friendly people, beautiful end result. read more

We had them install a new floor in our office area. The floor itself is fine. However they put in the wrong quarter round around the edge. They also took out doors that now need to be trimmed. They are unwilling to address these issues. read more

Joan K. Recommendation (Burlington store) - carefully document floor surfaces, baseboards, and abutting walls, and have installers review and confirm the condition before installation. After installation, again carefully review condition of same, especially abutting walls on stairs near the base, before signing off on a project. When reviewing installation immediately after signing off on project, and the installer had left, I noticed paint damaged on stairwell wall base which was a minor issue. However, a hairline crack was in same place, and the wall caved in when touched, an area 4 x 3 inches. I immediately took pictures and forwarded to my sales agent who forwarded next to the Claims Department. I had to chase a response over several weeks, and the claim was denied. read more

I own an antique house & my family room is a former barn. The wide pine floors were extremely uneven with huge gaps. They looked awful and collected dust. I have dogs and needed something clean and practical so I hired AJ Rose to even out the floor and install luxury vinyl. They did a spectacular job!! read more

I hope this review will help anyone who was in my position, that is wanting to replace old carpet with LVP. I read a lot of negative things about the "next day" guys and contemplated just trying it myself. I caleed AJ Rose and talked to Phen. He came right out with samples of material that is in stock! He gave me a price that made it worth not trying it myself. Install was what I was worried about but it went fine. Max was about as top notch as you could get. I also had to call Phen a couple of times during the process and he was always there or he got right back to me. They saw the job through! read more

I had a great experience with AJ Rose for carpet install. I would like to thank Phen for his help in picking out my carpet and also Fabio and his crew for the installation. They were all extremely professional and efficient. I would highly recommend this company. read more

AJ Rose Customer Service disappears if something goes wrong during a flooring installation. We had AJ Rose install a carpet in our basement on 2/21/20. Everything was great until we discovered the carpet installer had put a nail through our oil fuel line. Bottom Line: We learned this week, August 2020, that AJ Rose has settled with our insurance company. They will reimburse us for the cost of the carpet ONLY IF THE SAME CARPET INSTALLER WHO PUT THE NAIL IN THE FUEL LINE can come to our house and rip out the carpet. They will not reimburse us for the fuel line repair. And to top it all off, the fuel line busting carpet installer keeps calling us and making us uneasy. If you hire AJ ROSE, you better hope nothing goes wrong - because they will not do anything to fix it. read more

Purchased vinyl floor for a high traffic kitchen. The selection they had was far superior to the other places we went. Sales people once attached were spot on (sorry just finished watching Ramsey). Installation is where they really shine. Shaun was outstanding. He put in a sub floor, measured perfectly sealed with silicon and I swear I do not know where the seam is. I looked. twice. It might be voodoo. I am having another floor put in shortly and now I don't have to go anywhere else. One stop shop. Professional, friendly, communication about everything. The one caveat, make sure you order early. It does take a few days to come in. Oh, and Shaun worked a holiday to get it said and done for me. Thank you. read more

We went to AJ Rose to have the carpets in our office cleaned and his guys really did a great job. Needless to say, it was a tall task. The office is about 5000 sq. feet and desks and cubicles had to be moved all over the place. It was pretty hard to coordinate. But as soon as AJ's guys got here, they went right to work. They used a hot water extraction method to clean the carpets, and the results were pretty impressive. I wish we had taken some before and after pictures. The whole thing was done in a matter of hours and they even helped us move our stuff back. The cleaners were really efficient and had a great attitude the whole time. I would definitely recommend AJ for your commercial cleaning needs. read more

Family run business, who cares about their customers and stands behind their product. Hard to find these days. They carry quality carpet and flooring and do professional installation and cleaning. When we needed extra assistance, AJ himself called to make sure we got what we needed. Surprised and pleased. If you want to support a local business, go here! read more

AJ ARose is the Best carpet place we found. We had been to both of the box stores and a couple of local places and have been really turned off about their practices and the lack of accountability and transparency. We finally landed at AJ Rose and I wish I had gone there sooner. The sales people are all friendly and they will help you in the showroom but they are not pushy and will let you look around. They are happy to answer any questions you might have and help you find samples or a color that you're looking for. Everyone that we dealt with was super professional very helpful and super punctual. Both the person who is coming to measure and the guys that came to install our carpet were there five minutes before our quoted time. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this company. Our carpet looks and feels amazing. We have a strange built-in bed platform and I thought it would take them quite a while to do it but clearly they were professionals and it took them no time at all. read more

This purchase was a nightmare from start to finish. We have used this company in the past but things have changed. We were given no information on flooring. Then we were handed a sample of carpet with no choice offered. We signed the contract and were told the installer would be here on Monday am. We cut our vacations short to be home to wait all day. When we called the salesman said he never said Monday. Finally the installer came and made a decision on his own to charge us $1560 for cement he didn't use. We then got an outrageous quote on stair carpet and learned we had been led to the most expensive carpeting. We cancelled and went with a reputable company. read more

AJ Rose Carpets was having a carpet cleaning special so we decided to try their services. We were not expecting very much but we were pleasantly surprised. It was a breeze setting up the appointment with Pete who was friendly, informative and accommodating. Mark and Steve showed up on time and did a fantastic job. They got out stains that other cleaning companies never could. They were professional, neat and sociable. Thank you AJ Rose from Burlington. read more

I agree with you 100 percent Steven F. Cant get a straight answer over the phone about colors. Spoke to 3 different sales people. They told me the colors are not the same on website? So why bother putting them there. I'll look for a small company. read more

Got my hardwood floors done through them. John was my installer and he did a good job. They've been in for about a month and so far no issues - knock on wood :) read more

They are all defrauders. I order solid hardwood flooring for my 12*13 living room. But they installed engineered flooring for me and charge $2,700 dollars. If To replace the engineered floor with solid hardwood will add the other $1,900 dollars on top. Total cost $4,600 dollars for such size room was a joke, It isn't? They are not trustworthy and don't deal with them. Because complaint it never ever work. read more

I was initially very frustrated with the required $50 fee for samples which they didn't easily refund after my samples were returned. After writing a review, AJ contacted me to discuss my concerns. He was very professional and indicated that better communication structures are now in place to address my negative experience. I am willing to give them another chance given the way that he handled the situation. read more

When selecting someone to carpet our house, we selected AJ Rose due to their positive reviews and family owned history. Having never installed wall to wall carpeting before, perhaps my expectations where too high, but after 5 months, I am still bothered by what I consider poor installation. The people at AJ Rose were very friendly and helpful. However, the carpet installation quality bothers me. Along many of the baseboards, the carpet barely makes it underneath, making it easy for dirt, debris, and fingers to find their way under the carpet. Many of the corners throughout the installation are not cleanly cut, resulting in either holes between the carpet and corner, or portions of the carpet being folded upwards along the baseboard. Under the radiators are inconsistent installation as well - in some places you can see the plywood floor under the radiator; in others the carpet scrapes the radiator fins. Overall, I would not recommend AJ Rose to my family or friends. read more

Went in with questions about a hardwood floor replacement and the salesman was condescending and simply awful to work with. Look elsewhere for helpful salespeople. read more

Worst customer service I have ever gotten. Voice messages were never returned and when I did talk to someone over the phone, they made it act like I was bothering them. I got better customer service from Home Depot when I was buying new doors than from the family owned business. I went in because co-workers recommended the store. I got tons of information the first time I went and was treated wonderfully. After my house was measured for the carpet, the customer service started declining. I went back in to place my order and the details and explanations were no longer there. I was told that it would take 4-5 business days for the carpet to come in and then they could install it after that. I called back 5 business days later and left a message. My phone call was never returned - when I called back 2 weeks later, I still left a message. This time I kept calling until I talked to someone. I was told that my carpet wasn't there yet - even though they told me 4-5 business days, it was still at least a week away. No one bothered to inform me of these delays and I was furious. How does it seem reasonable to tell me one thing and then make me wait over a month for the carpet to arrive. It was 5 weeks after I ordered the carpet that it got installed - so someone needs to work on their timeline. Additionally, I'm not satisfied with the product they sold me. I spent a lot of money on my carpet and wish I went somewhere else. read more

I recently purchased stair and hall runners. It was so easy to set up an appt. for an in house measurement. I rec'd an estimate the same day. There price was substantially less than another estimate I had rec'd. The carpet installation was quick and easy. Installers were professional and tidy. read more

This is for the Burlington location... Looking for replacement carpet for stairs and flooring options for the kitchen for a home we were buying was easy to do in their large showroom. We had to visit the store a few times to make sure they had all of or info and flooring choices correct. The guys who came to replace the carpet and stairs were quick, efficient and clean. The Pre-finished wood flooring in the kitchen was more involved and required a separate measurement appointment which we weren't aware of until after the carpet measuring was complete. It's not a huge deal, it's just that we hadn't moved in, so asking the seller to allow us in for measuring purposes required going through a few different people. It all worked out though. I have to call soon to have them repair part of the kitchen floor that cracks/snaps when you step on it in one spot, but in general they were knowledgeable, friendly and decent... Might consider them again, but we're closer to the showroom and they seem to have better reviews than Burlington. read more

Recently we decided to re-carpet our basement. From helping us choose the right carpet to scheduling the removal of the old carpet, to keeping us updated on the delivery and installation of the new carpet AJ Rose did a first class job. The entire staff was friendly and professional and they finished the job on time and on budget. I highly recommend AJ Rose for any of your flooring covering needs. read more

Visited their showroom and chatted for a while. Team was friendly and helpful but when it came to schedule the project, they didn't even call us back for 2 weeks to schedule the first site visit. Then told us it would be 4-6 weeks before they could get to the house to install the hardwood floors. We told them we wanted this done ASAP and were ready when they were and still took them forever. I understand that they are probably busy and for good reason but that seems crazy to me that it would take 2 months to get hardwood floors installed. read more

I am so thrilled with this place! We were in a pinch to get our basement finished and needed it done in 12 days. Home Depot told us they were going to take a few weeks to get a carpet installed because it was "special order". We walked right in to AJ Rose and picked something out the same night that was just as good and a comparable price. Pete was very helpful and responsive and said he could get it done for us in our short timeline. We walked in on a Monday, it was measured on Tuesday morning, and installed one week from the day we picked it out. Everyone we dealt with was professional and courteous. The carpet looks beautiful! I am a real estate agent and would highly recommend this company to my clients and friends. read more

Amazingly helpful and professional. I needed new carpet for one large room before we put our house on the market. Staff steered me to sale rack and recommended stainmaster for same price as others and scheduled the measuring at my convenience. The price came in a little higher than I was looking for, and they worked with me to find a way to cut off a couple hundred dollars. Carpet was installed the next week by very polite and competent guys, on time. Could not have been better! read more

I had a very bad experience with this company. I wanted an estimate on a new kitchen floor. I was told by my insurance company that estimates are free. I spoke with Peter and made the mistake of telling him it was an insurance job, my kitchen had flooded. He told me I had to go to their showroom to pick out a floor. I told him I had the website on my computer and couldn't I pick that way? He insisted that he needed a number and was obstinate about it. So, I picked out a pattern and gave him his number. (I figured I could change once I made a decision on who would do the job.) After a few hums and hos, he told me that someone could come to the house and the charge was $50. I told him my insurance agent said it would be free. He then said "I'm giving you a deal ... we usually charge $75 for insurance jobs." That was it ... before we even got started there was no way I would do business with this company, I don't care how many ratings they have! I'm writing this so others with know to steer clear of this company and Peter! read more

Had my carpets cleaned last week. The guys arrived right on time (even called me 20 minutes ahead to let me know they were on the way). I appreciated the courtesy extended to me by offering available days and times for me to schedule. The guys were friendly and very thorough. They got right to work and finished quickly. The carpets look great! We purchased our carpets there several years ago and found just what we were looking for. We shop this family business for the level of quality and service that you don't get from the big box stores. read more

Well they tout themselves as a superior store with superior service. NOT! No sense of customer service, no sense of much on the phone or in person. Terrible. In this day and age...a store without quality service will not survive...regardless of how much promotion they do. Go elsewhere. read more

We bought a wool rug from them. The sales rep was absolutely wonderful and helpful. I think this is what a store should be. They delivered it ahead of schedule and the delivery folks knew what they were doing. Good selection of products. We were originally going to buy it from Boston Design center through our designer. But ended up with these folks. I was originally not sure if they would carry good selection but they did and we love our new rug that just came in today!!! read more

i'm little surprised at some of the negatives on this one as my experience with them was simply A+ peter from the burlington office listened (rare trait with people this day and age) to what I had and wanted done and then worked up a quote including the coupon that was posted on here. two days before the appointment I called in hopes of having some furniture cleaned (purchased over the weekend) and once again no problems. he then called the next day, day before the actual appointment, to confirm. A+ mark and ken showed up on time and did an awesome job on the carpets and the furniture. place looks and smells like new again (just moved in here). A+ again my experience with these guys is nothing but A+ read more
