I was leading the charge to renovate the common hallway in our Boston row house. I sought out numerous quotes for carpeting. This review is for their communication and on site estimate. Dan and Patrick were both very responsive and flexible with my tight schedule. I was flying in from out of town and wanted to get an estimate and possibly installation done within my tight time frame. While they were able to come out to do the estimate, we were told they could install within the same week if what I want was in stock. I, however, did not move forward with the install as I was able to get a deeper discount with another vendor due to a holiday promotion they were running. Wholesale Carpet was able to offer alternate carpeting to fit my budget. I couldn't be more satisfied with these guys. I bought a new condo and wanted to put carpet down over the hardwood floors. The first thing I needed (obviously) was to have someone come out and measure, which they were able to do just a couple days after I called. They got the measurements and were able to give me a rough idea of the square footage I needed, which helped me estimate the cost. When it was time to actually order, I was incredibly indecisive. I must have spent more than an hour wandering around looking at the options, but fortunately, Dan and Patrick were very patient and helpful. When I wanted to see what the carpet I was looking at would look like in my condo, they let me take the display sample with me, so I could see it right away instead of having to wait for a sample to be sent form the manufacturer. Ultimately, because I was so indecisive, I decided to split the job and do the bedrooms first then do the hallway, staircase, and living room later. It ended up being 2 months between the jobs, but even though it was such a long time they still had my measurements and I was able to walk in and place the order for the second job right away. When the installation came, it went very smoothly. They had to trim some doors down to fit over the carpet, but they did a great job in that and you can't even tell the doors were trimmed. The seams were so well done that the first installers made a seam in the closet doorway and I didn't even know until the second installers came and showed me. They installed metal strips for the transitions between the carpet and hardwood and they look great. One of the transition strips was a little bent, but they sent someone out the next day and fixed it in about 5 minutes. After it's all done, the carpets look great and the price was very reasonable. I'm much more comfortable in my condo now that the carpet is down. A+. If I ever need more carpeting done, I'll come to these guys without hesitation. read more

I have used Wholesale Carpet in 3 different homes over the last 15 years and am in the process of purchasing new rugs for our new home from them. Our new house has hardwood floors throughout so we need quite a few area rugs and we have a small dog who slides down the stairs so also need to put in a stair runner right away. Dan (the owner) came out to measure and then we went to the shop to pick out a remnant that he can custom cut to size. He had to install carpet runners for 3 flights of stairs in our current townhouse and it looks great. The prices are fantastic. You can get an 8x10' bound rug for $100 (which is less than we used to pay at Building 19).
