This was such a relief, as I've had so many bad experiences with other contractors; after hiring another company to remove asbestos flooring, who broke one of our original light fixtures, left hundreds of staples and nails in our walls from hanging tarps, overcharged us and even shorted us on the refund, I was hesitant about hiring anyone to install new flooring. However, I saw the other 5 star reviews on yelp, and after contacting Mark's Master Service, I had to leave a voicemail. But Mark reached out to me personally via text message. While texting with a business initially turned me off, he came and inspected the house, and gave me a pretty competitive quote immediately; it was a little higher than another quote I'd received, but he was extremely nice, gregarious, and professional. The other contractor I'd contacted - not so much. The day he was scheduled to install the floor, he texted me early and said he would have to reschedule because one of his workers cut his finger badly. I was at first frustrated, because I took time off from work so I could be home for the installation. However, Mark was able to find a replacement and still got the job done within the two-day estimated time frame he gave me. They installed the floor quickly, and it looks fantastic. They even staggered the floorboards in such a way that there is an aesthetically-pleasing pattern across the floor - something I didn't expect, but am very happy about.
