This notice is for awareness and not defamation. My truck required service to address the check engine light and the symptoms I've been experiencing with my Ford Explorer 2017.  Following the diagnostic assessment around $150, it was determined that the c. converters required replacement around $13/1400. Both amounts (including gas $10) were paid in full. There's documentation the vehicle was driven for 30 miles (which I failed to believe), with no indication of a problem (October 25th). That same day, after 10-15min of  my friend driving the vehicle, the engine light was back on and the vehicle would not crank up. When calling the dealer, a woman answers the phone. This woman was given all the details regarding the purpose of the call and all she said was "what do you want me to do about it." There was no compassion or reasonable efforts provided to assist with a problem that should have been rectified, and the customer service was unexpectedly distasteful. After a 30 minute wait, my friend was able to crank up the vehicle and made it home. Monday, October 28th, the mechanics working on the vehicle seemed to be in disbelief the vehicle was not up to par, the check engine light was on, still experiencing the same symptoms and so forth.  Now, the issue is a valve. A gasket. It seemed as though none of the mechanics knew how to diagnose the problem as it seemed as though they've succumb to a guessing game. I digress. The vehicle was taken back (no estimated wait time...anticipated on the longer end).  My friend waited for the vehicle as she was hoping they would have provided a courtesy vehicle for the inconvenience (especially after she explained to the staff she had several businesses to take care of). The only offer on the table was a trip home. Staff had no idea my friend had two job interviews (which was not their business to know), but still, I would expect a slight incentive for this mishap (poor customer service). Time passed.  It was discovered that the fuel pump required replacement. Seriously? And why wasn't this issue noticed beforehand. This is so interesting because my friend read literature (from Ford's manual) stating the fuel pump can cause the c. converters to get worn. I couldn't believe it. Now...this is where I get pissed. One of the staff we've been corresponding with (Rob) was overall pleasant. He seemed like a decent guy, and I get it. He has a boss, he needs his money too. Well, what I paid for my vehicle to get fixed that didn't get fixed had to be replenish, and at the end of the day the customer, I, me, would have to pay for these expenses. So for Rob to have the audacity to quote me another labor fee on top of paying for the part, I was speechless. Even after he had given me this massive discount from $11/1200 to $550, I was not buying in. Because I'm a woman, I don't know crap and it's expected that I remain submissive and tolerant, I should be grateful for the $550 rate. I don't think so.Rob and I continued to go back and forth with the price. When I asked to speak with a supervisor or anyone from management, Rob tells  me no one would authorize non-payment for labor, and the supervisor was out of town. It was then I had finalized my decision not to commit to a payment I didn't feel obligated to pay; therefore, if the labor could not be negotiated, I was inclined to speak with my lawyer (which was relayed to Rob). I ended the call as there was nothing to be said.  A few minutes later, I get a call back from the dealership (I refused to answer). I did answer the phone call from my friend and I was told the price was only going to include the part (and not the labor).  All of this, for what I was asking for initially. I honestly suggest you take time out of your schedule to read up on your personal vehicle, only to have an idea what technical challenges you may be subjected to, and how to correspond the symptoms with a ballpark diagnosis. read more

Stopped by to inquire about a 2017 Raptor today. Spoke with a salesman that apparently doesn't know much about what he's selling. Not gonna blast the guy by name, but you know who you are. A Roush F-150 for $66k without a supercharger is a joke and it is certainly not in the same league as a Raptor which shares a very similar MSRP. So, while I appreciate the redirection in light of you not having a Raptor in stock, at least be aware that most normal 1/2 ton trucks are not in the same class as the SVT Raptor. Furthermore, remember you saying how installing a supercharger voids the warranty? I corrected you and you continued to disagree since you claim that's why the Roush F-150 on your lot doesn't have one... I attached a photo of the Ford Extra Care Service Plan which clearly shows that a factory installed (by the dealership) supercharger would be covered under this extended warranty. I would discontinue that condescending tone of yours as you never know whom you're speaking to and what their background is. One final note, Waldorf Ford is the 3rd Ford dealership I've visited in Maryland trying to find the truck I want. Aside from not having any in stock, apparently they are dragging customers through the mud with a $10k addendum on these trucks! I can assure anyone interested in a Raptor that is reading this review, there are dealerships from which you can order this truck with NO ADDENDUM in MD. I was quoted a price on the phone that I was guaranteed I would pay when I arrived. When I got there I was forced to wait 45 minutes alone at a desk, when 4 men showed up at the desk with a contract that had a three thousand dollar upsell on it. The four men then yelled at me when I didn't agree to sign the contract with the new number. Dustin Herbert in sales asked me to put my signature a credit report while telling me he wouldn't use it to run my credit. (My credit was already run, I had an outside loan set up through another bank.) He wrote 'do not run credit' in tiny letters in the margin of the form, and told me he wouldn't us the form and my signature to run my credit, which was obviously a lie. Dustin Herbert then later explained he needed to run credit as a 'security measure', and emailed me a link to the ENTIRE PATRIOT ACT. I'll restate for clarity, Dustin Herbert emailed me a LINK to the ENTIRE PATRIOT ACT, in an email. The patriot act is gigantic, despite it's size, there is nothing in the patriot act about running credit for a car loan. I later bumped into Dustin Herbert later outside of the dealership, and he was physically aggressive with me. I almost needed to call the police to protect my safety. read more

I am very upset to what happened to my recent purchased. They rip off my Dad . The salesman and finance man took advantage of us not knowing about APR and the length of the loan, So I ended up for high interest rate for 7 years. I have a lot of friends and family members and then I asked them About similar purchases and they said "YOU'VE BEEN ROBBED!" Please stop doing this to people especially like us! while this my 4th truck purchase from WF, its obvious that I have been fairly happy dealing with them...only complaints I might have, was I think I did not get enough on my traded 2013 F-150 only finding out after the sale...that I potentially would have gotten a little more elsewhere. I did get an excellent deal on my 2016 Super Crew however, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt. second complaint I would have, would be the first due service on the truck, free oil change, should at least include a tire rotation, that I paid an additional $21.00. new purchase customers should be offered what they call "The Works" for the first service. My buying experience was excellent. The sales team was willing to let me do as much or as little as I wanted to. I'm very picky when it comes to features and I wanted to do my own browsing of available inventory. I was promised that if I found a car that met my desired specs anywhere from New Jersey to North Carolina, they'd send a driver to go get it for me the next day ... and they did! Coincidentally, for the car I finally settled on, I received two quotes, one from Waldorf and one from my local Virginia dealer. I got a 2012 Expedition EL from a different dealership because Waldorf Ford did not have what I was looking for in a used car in their inventory at the time. I had a few minor things I needed them to look at for me. hey were very detailed in their inspection. They found that there were three things that needed to be attended to. 2 were covered by my 6 year 60,000 mile. 1 was a recall I had no idea about. hey contacted me made arrangements and fixed all of it in a timely professional manner. Purchasing our vehicles was the only positive experience we had. Mike and Courtney were fantastic that night, and we appreciate their assistance. The reason I DO NOT recommend Waldorf Ford is in the case of out-of-state registrations, which is the case for most military families in the area. We purchased our vehicles three months ago and Waldorf Ford REQUIRED us to go through them for title and registration. We are now requesting our third set of temp tags because they sat on our paperwork for a month with no action or communication. It costs hundreds of dollars extra for them to process title and registration (third party processing fees), yet they require that you go through them. Bottom line: if you cannot competently process out of state registrations, do not require that your customers go through you. That has cost us months of not having our vehicles registered and it has cost us hundreds of dollars that we would not have been required to pay had we done this ourselves. read more

The banks will only give low interest rates to the newer cars (First lie). And I quote, "do not go to any other lot. We are the only ones who will take good care of you". I picked out a couple cars that I liked. We went in and they did some numbers. They said there was one that I could get. 24% interest. They said I was to young (18). Needed a co signer at the time. I did not want someone to be responsible for me so I declined that. I told them I have a really good job so I can handle a decent car payment (my fault for saying that). When we started going over numbers when it came to insurance was the problem I had. Long story short I had to walk out because the insurance was also extremely high. As I was walking to the exit the guy came running up to me saying I found one insurance that is willing to give you a good rate. So I walked back in there and listened to the insurance guy and the financial guy and I went with it (second and biggest lie of them all). Now a month later comes and I go to pay for my insurance and they tell me 410 dollars please. I looked at the lady like wth? It's supposed to be 175. I have never been in a accident. I've never had a ticket so clearly there was a mistake. All they could tell me is they had a glitch (third lie). If you think this through, your clearly seeing that they saw me coming. They say I was too young to know all the tricks of there trade. These people will screw over a young child's life just to make a buck. I went to fight this and return this car back. They obviously said you can't. You drive off the lot. You own it. This was clearly a scam. This should be illegal. This should be fought in court. They should pay for this. But I couldn't. your decision on going to this company to get a vehicle. But if you go after reading this. I kept having trouble with my window washer not spraying on my 2007 Mustang GT. The dealership in Rhode Island blew out the lines and got it working again temporarily but the issue resurfaced a week later. Waldorf Ford again blew out the lines for me but when the problem returned again, they dug a little deeper and realized the pump was going bad. I had the parts department order a new pump for $300 and came back to get it installed. While I was there, I had the mechanics look into my parking brake which seemed a little too loose after I had the dealership in Rhode Island install Wilwood brakes all around. The mechanics at Waldorf quickly realized the parking brake hadn't been adjusted and they made the necessary fix for me. I'm happy to finally have a fully functional parking brake and a window washer that sprays again. I would definitely return here for service if I'm ever in the area. read more

Mark along with their used car manager Dave Hokum were very help full in resolving small points that needed to be addressed with the vehicle. Worst Ford dealership in the entire Ford family and I do mean the "worst"...!!! My friend's mother went there to buy her grandson his first car to get around in. The car they sold them was a lemon right from the start, was in the shop more then a few times due to engine problems. After they realized that they could not fix the issues, they realized that they needed to fix what they originally did wrong. But Instead of wiping that mistake away and doing things the right way. They went one step future and rolled the lemon that they sold over to the new vehicle and made it look like a trade-in vehicle. Causing the value of the new vehicle to be $6,000 higher then it should have been and never told her that they had done it. Now after a few months of trying to get things resolved and corrected, they are saying and doing nothing to correct what they have done. Forcing a young man trying to do things the right way stuck in a loan that no one will touch and a payment that should never have been that high. I would not ever consider cheating a grandmother or a young person, just to cover something that was screwed up from the beginning. I have contacted Ford Customer Care to complain about the matter and just waiting to see if they will do something about sales people and managers that intentionally take advantage of someone. Well I feel as duped as ever. I dropped off my car because of dangerous behavior and it was estimated that the repair of my $48,000 three year old ford would be $1,200, $100 of which was under warranty (with a $100 deductible) so therefore I was out of luck getting the warranty from covering any of the charges. Stupid me for thinking that the answer would be anything else. Had to rent a car at an offsite location, (no loainer) and they couldn't even clean the exterior of my car less the inside when I picked it up 28 hours later. But in the four hours I sat around waiting for the initial diagnosis they did have the time to pitch me on buying a new car from their dealership. Really??????? Pay attention. read more

When it was time for me to purchase my first vehicle it was a given that my parents would tell me to go there. Bill got me in a Ford Escape which would unfortunately totaled very shortly after purchase. I went back just to look at other vehicles and Bill got me in a 2015 Ford Focus, Adam gave me an amazing deal, and Phil locked in the financing (at a get rate) from Ford. We recently took my daughters Fiesta in for two recall fixes. They fixed the recalls and noticed that the drivers window mechanics was damaged by a previous Ford Dealer. They also fixed a faulty water pump. All this took a considerable amount of time. We get the car back and now notice that the window seems to get stuck and feels as if it may fall off the track. For as long as Waldorf Ford had the vehicle you would think that the quality control would have been better. Now we have to take the vehicle back in for who knows how long. The service on my 2007 vehicle was the worst customer service experience I ever had since purchasing this vehicle. I have always have a great experience at this dealership but this last one made me sick to my stomach. I delivered my vehicle at 7:30 am to assessed the problem on it and informed them I needed to used the same car in the afternoon and the service manager told me it would two hours. I left the car there and went to attend other business. After three hours I called the service manager 15 times and he would not answer my calls. Purchased a vehcile at Ford Waldorf and had installation done. Will not return for any service or part installation. Made an appointment to have my windows tinted, three weeks in advance, and requested the earliest appointment available, which was 10 AM. I show up at 9:55, and they were already working on another vehicle. When I asked how long it typically takes I got a wishy-washy answer and was given a 2-4 hours time range. 6 1/2 hours later the vehicle was finished, but in the meantime they were continuously unable to provide me any remaining time estimate what so ever and almost ruined my evening plans. Their contingency plan was for me to come back another day and pick up my vehicle, a 45 mile drive each way. I will not return to this dealer for any reason what so ever. read more

If I could rate negative stars, I would. I bought a 2005 Ford F350 from them March 25, 2015. I was assured the vehicle was in tip top condition and that it was in perfect shape. At day 45 of ownership, the truck had to be towed as it lost HPOP pressure in traffic. It has had the fan clutch, injection pressure regulator, turbocharger, oil cooler, HPOP fitting, batteries, battery cable assembly, alternator, water pump, charge air cooler, and a host of other things replaced as well as bed rail rust repairs, and front tires. As of right now, 60 some days later, its dead. So, my truck that I believed to be in good condition is now a lawn ornament that I have to pay on for the next 5 years. Great condition was definitely far from the truth. #teamadkins? What the hell ever. Also, as soon as I purchased it I needed a Virginia state safety inspection, it failed Virginia safety inspection for something very obvious and also on Maryland's inspection list. A wheel lug was missing. So, beware of their state inspections. The sales manager, while heavily resistant to my plea for help, helped me somewhat with the donation of an EGR valve, fuel level sensor and a fan clutch (which has since failed after 200 miles of driving due to it being stored improperly and no way for me to return the unit because of the lack of a receipt) after the diagnostic was performed. What they did was not exactly "troubleshooting". They scanned the codes and "loaded up the parts cannon" to remedy the problems this vehicle had, and then called me to say that it needs $3k worth of repairs. I have since remedied the immense amount of problems this truck had myself, and the complete list of faults are as follows; 1. Rusted through bed rails (as seen here - http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1370945-current-state-of-my-new-truck.html) 2. Failed oil cooler due to improper coolant 3. Failed EGR valve due to stuck turbo VGT 4. Stuck VGT system on turbo 5. Worn turbo shaft bearings 6. Failed water pump due to casting sand in cooling system 7. Failed thermostat (stuck open) 8. Failed fan clutch (2 times, with new Ford unit failed after 200 miles of use) 9. Damaged fuel level sensor wiring 10. Damaged charge air cooler (due to sticking turbo causing an overboost condition) 11. Corroded, unusable + battery cable assembly 12. Alternator under voltage (due to bad battery cable assembly) 13. Leaking HPOP snap-to-connect fitting 14. Failed ICP sensor and damaged ICP wiring (pigtail) 15. Leaking fuel pump/fuel filter housing assembly (which I still have yet to remedy as the housing is very expensive) 16. Leaking fuel tank vent system (I guess that's why the tank was 1/2 full on receipt) 17. Weak batteries (replaced by dealer) 18. Injection pressure regulator 19. VC-9 coolant flush/SCA coolant 20. Coolant filter The truly sad part about the entire ordeal is that I am convinced that this truck had it's ECM reset prior to me test driving it. I brought a personal code scanner and the results were clean. VGT and EGR system faults do not just "appear" over 1000 miles of driving. They start with intermittent P0299 codes (underboost) and then result in a stuck VGT system and a frozen EGR valve. They also claimed to have changed the oil, checked for the most current PCM flash and were requested to retrieve the keyless entry code. None of these were performed. In fact, the engine was 2 quarts low on oil upon receipt, to which I didn't find until the first engine failure in traffic, when I was looking for problems. I trusted them to do this, so I didn't check the oil when I received the truck. I must say, of all of the vehicle purchases I have made over the years, this one has been the most disappointing. The complete lack of compassion for a customer, especially a customer who paid FULL PRICE for a vehicle to have the assurance of having a quality vehicle from a quality dealer, is discerning and this incident has changed the way I view new/used auto dealerships forever. read more

I have a 2013 Mustang. I didn't buy it from Waldorf, but they are the only people that I will let service it. The people are friendly, professional, and the waiting area is comfortable and clean. Out of the numerous times I have taken my car there for service, I have only made an appointment once and they have still been able to squeeze me in and get me out in a reasonable amount of time (except for once I came by too late). I recommend that anybody who owns a Ford in the Southern Maryland area get their vehicle serviced at Waldorf Ford. read more

This is easily the worst experience I've ever had at a dealership. The sales person (Brendon) I worked with was insulting to my intelligence putting down numbers for cars higher than the MSRP and offering me less than a quarter of the value for my trade in. When I went to leave he had an attitude and was cursing me under his breath and throwing sale papers around like a child. His manager had the same attitude. When asked to put numbers down for the sales he was lethargic, unprofessional, and disorganized. On my way out the door the sales person began being unprofessional with my father. I made it clear when I walked in that I only had a few hours to work a deal and no time for games. It's a shame that a company would treat a veteran with such a lack of respect. read more
