Walala Hand Pulled Noodles felt very authentic. It was really cool being able to watch them make the hand-pulled noodles right in front of you. The noodles were delicious! I thought my broth was a little too beefy for my taste, but I may have just ordered the wrong one. The braised short rib broth was really good--refreshing and almost herb-like. Service was great, and we were seated right away. The restaurant and bathrooms were also very clean. Definitely one of the more authentic spots I've tried, and I would come back if I was craving this type of food!
Food quantity: 9/10 Food quality: 7/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 8/10 Overall rating: 8.5/10 The noodles were great, and our favorite dish was the wontons in spicy peanut sauce. The cucumber salad and dumplings were just okay.
Very good Chinese noodle restaurant. We got two noodle dishes and the soup dumplings. The tonkotsu broth was rich and creamy. My beef and radish noodle soup was flavorful while having a very drinkable soup. The soup dumplings were good. Broth inside was flavor packed and I just wish we had some black vinegar and ginger slices to eat it with. Very good experience would highly recommend it.
Food first, thoughts after... Wow. Authentic and delicious. Greeted in chinese at the door. Overall the service was good. They were very friendly. Everything was made fresh and the chef hand pulling the noodles in front of you. Seating is bring but not many. The restaurant was popular!
I've been hearing about Walala for some time now, so I was so excited to finally try it! The workers are pretty friendly, and we came on a Sunday evening and were able to be seated right away. We wanted to try the wontons in chili oil but they were sadly out so we ended up getting the big beef skewers. The flavoring on them was sooo good. But we did have a lot of super chewy and fatty pieces that we weren't really a fan of. The noodles came out so quickly and they were streaming hot, which we loved. The clear broth is super clean and light with a very herbal fragrance to it. Like I feel like that would be perfect to drink if you were sick. But not being sick, I did end up adding some soy sauce just to give it some more flavor. But I like that with the sauces at the table, you can kinda just customize to your liking. I think the knife cut noodles are probably my favorite type of noodles here, but the hor fun goes really well with the clear broth. I also tried the green grape fruit tea and it was so refreshing! The flavor wasn't artificial at all and it was so nice to have with the hot noodles. I think this spot is super worth if you're the type to order extra noodles, or if you're a big eater. But the portions were pretty satisfying enough on the first go for us (def not a bad thing), so we didn't get to do any refills.
This was my first time at this location it's situated in the shopping center where there's an abundance of Asian restaurants. And to be honest with you if you have your choice of so many great selections. Walala is a Michelin star restaurant that features hand-pulled noodles. There are four types of noodles that you can get. The hand pulled noodles were incredible. they are more of a soup-based type of meal and there are 10 different choices of selections where you could have the noodles in and I had the spicy shank and I loved it. As for vegetarian options there were a few but this didn't seem like I could take wifey too. Highly recommend and we'll come back to try more variations and more types of noodles. Service was a bit slow I showed up and the guest that it was meeting me showed up 15 minutes later I sat there the waitress never came by and asked me if I wanted to get anything ahead of time. Nice quaint little restaurant where you can view the people pulling the noodles and it was quite quiet I got there around a quarter to 12:00 and it was packed by 12:30
Walala is definitely worth a visit, especially if you're a noodle person. We went around 1:00pm on a Saturday and it was busy but still able to grab a table, but by 2:00 every spot was filled, so timing definitely matters. They were out of the beef pancake roll when we tried to order it, which was a little disappointing, but everything else made up for it. I got a soup with a clear soup base and it was so good, super flavorful without being too heavy. They even have a note that it's simmered for 8 hours, and you can absolutely taste the time put into it. We also tried the hand-pulled noodles and they were delicious with that perfect chewy texture. One of the coolest parts is you can literally watch them hand-pulling the noodles through a window into the kitchen, which makes the whole experience feel even more authentic. Plus, you can get a free refill of the hand-pulled noodles while you're dining in, which is such a great bonus. My husband ordered a beef-based soup that wasn't super flavorful on its own, but after adding some of the condiments from the table, it improved a lot. Overall, really solid spot with great noodles, a fun experience, and good value. I'd definitely come back.
First things first, expect a long wait here! This place is so popular and very busy. The chicken chilli dumplings were honestly the best chicken dumpling I've ever had. The hand pulled noodles were the most amazing hand pulled noodles I've ever had. Because everything is so good, they are busy and service is slow.
Do you ever go somewhere and know you're getting a home cooked meal? Cause that's every time I go here it feels like that! Food is always served hot and fresh. It doesn't take long to get the food or drinks, unless you order the hand dumplings. Those do take a bit longer than the soup to come out. The service is always friendly and they don't check in on you too much. The interior is very simple with a few tables to sit at. My favorite dish to order is the Hor Fun with beef. The beef is tender but sometimes does have a bit of fat on it. The hor fun noodles are large but soak up the broth perfectly. They also travel well and hold their shape/texture. The boba and fruit teas are absolutely delicious! I love coming here and love bringing others here to try the delicious food!
Love this noodle shop. We came with my fiancé's brother in law, who grew up in Gansu province in China, where LanZhou hand pulled noodles originated. He spoke so highly of Walala that we had to grab dinner with him there. Of course everything was very authentic. I got the knife cut beef tendon noodle combo that came with two beef skewers. It was delicious! I love that they have chili oil and black vinegar at the table so you can add more flavor and customize the taste. The beef skewers were good, but the size of the beef chunks were too big to absorb all of the seasoning, and it was very chewy, so maybe it had a lot of tendon. We also ordered the cucumber salad and the edamame. The edamame needed more chili oil. I also got to taste the dandan noodle my fiancé ordered. Sooo good. The hand pulled noodle was so QQ and chewy.
All about dem noodles. Loved the chewy and bouncy hand-pulled noodles. I went with the spicy Sliced beef not too spicy. I added some chili oil to kick it up. I loved how the broth infused in the noodles for added flavor. We also enjoyed the wonton in chile sauce which had toasted peanuts and chives as well hint of peanut in the sauce. The wrapper was so light and delicate it melted in your mouth. Yum
my second time back in Orlando for many years, my friends inviting me over to eat some and made noodles. Oh my gosh, these were delicious and very fresh. I'm attaching my bowl of soup with very white noodles. The noodles themselves were delicious with delicious broth and Meat highly recommend this place if you want authentic handmade noodles.
Very pleasantly surprised by Walala! Located in the Enson Market plaza, the restaurant is clean, well organized and the staff speaks both English and Chinese. The noodles are made fresh and cooked immediately, you can watch the masters at work in the glass open kitchen in the back. You definitely taste the difference between fresh and dry or frozen noodles, they're so much more bouncy. The portion sizes are pretty hefty. I had the beef shank preserved veggies with hand pulled noodles. Lots of tender slices of beef and the veggies were not super salty which was perfect. There was so much noodle! If you're a slow eater, you may want to portion some out so it doesn't soak up all the soup. The soup was very flavorful. They have a lot of side dishes and appetizers to choose from as well.
The staff takes your order fairly quickly and the food comes out pretty quickly also. The noodle soup looks very spicy but it isn't too bad, and it's flavorful. Someone in my group got a mala soup base, and that one was a bit more heavy and definitely more numbing in spices. The braised beef boneless ribs were very tender to me, and they gave a lot of meat in it. You can also ask for thicker noodles if you get the hand-pulled noodles, and they allow you to get refills on noodles also! I also got the fried dough sticks with soy milk combo. I think it's really worth it since the fried dough sticks are so big, and they taste great being dipped in the soup (and soy milk). The soy milk isn't sweetened but they ask if you would like some sugar to add. The dough sticks are freshly fried and they're very crunchy. The combo sets look very affordable and I would definitely come back to try them out some time There are counter seats and table seats at the restaurant. At the counter seats you can see them making the dishes, and a bit off to the side (closer to the table spots) is where they make the noodles. Overall, I would give the place a solid 8/10. read more

Dear Amber,…
Last Sunday I went since I was in the area around 145 pm. Busy but since I was by myself I opted for sitting at the kitchen bar area! I got to watched the chef making the noodles closely! The server is attentive and friendly. Unfortunately the drink menu is not available at all. But I have ordered the noddles and skewers combo. It arrived fairly quickly even though they were quite busy! The noodles are super yummy and has good amount of chew! I love it. The soup base are very tasty! And the skewers are very tasty also! I will definitely go back again and hopefully the drink menu will be available then for me to try! read more

Best beef noodle soup in town. 11/10 in flavor. We sat at the kitchen bar and watched the chefs at work and the noodle master make those hand pulled noodles per dish! I still don't understand the physics behind making them so thin and chewy We went on a Saturday night around 6PM with no wait. Staff were super friendly and helped guided us around the menu as well. read more

Every dish had great flavor! The noodles had a great chew. The cucumbers were very garlicky, which I love! The mango pomelo sago was good, there's a bit of a coconut flavor? I've had better, but I've also had way worse lol. I would come back! The service was a bit strange. They have a QR code for you to join the waitlist but it doesn't seem like they actually use it? The decor was cute. read more

12-25-2025 Okay, now this was a lot of fun! In sticking with time honored tradition we decided to have some Chinese for dinner and since I'd never tried the hand pulled noodle thing, this is where we ended up. The QR code check in was easy and we were seated right away, friendly staff was super busy and though things took some time (It was Christmas night after all...) we never felt neglected. Not much ambiance to speak of, most of their decor is ads for themselves, but there is a window where you can watch the noodle puller work! Our pan fried dumplings appetizer was absolutely delicious. Crispy edges, filled with meat, and a delicious dipping sauce too. We both went for the current Wagyu beef specials, the lovely Spensyr opted for a wet bowl, noodles and broth, while I went dry, but both of us thought we made the better decision. Although free noodle refills are available, neither of us needed it as there was the perfect amount of food the first time. I will definitely be back. read more

As we entered, we felt like were immediately transported to another country! The vibe was young but not too loud for us middle aged folks. Even though they were crowded, we were seated right away. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful and had his own favorite meals to share when we asked. Of course we had the noodles dishes and the fried buns. Everything was amazing! read more

A true hidden gen I nOrlando! Let me tell you my gf saw this place on the Orlando Asian Foodies page on Facebook. She's part Vietnamese so the idea of homemade pulled noodle begged her to go. We stopped in around 100 on a Friday. This place DID NOT dissappoint. It's very unassuming sitting in the Asian area of West Colonial Avenue. The food. Was phenomenal. She ordered a spicy short rib noodle dish and I ordered the beef shank and lamb skewer noodle dish. We also ordered the dumpling combo. The dishes were fresh and vibrant with flavor. The short rib was so tender. My dish almost had the Pho feel. The handmade noodles were amazing. One cool thing about this place is that YOU CAN GET REFILLS ON NOODLES! the dumplings were amazing. They were full of chicken, pork and shrimp. My favorite part of the meal was the spicy lamb skewer! Oh my gosh!!! You could taste the toasted cumin and it was so buttery. The service was amazing!! I had the rose lemonade. Overall live this place. The price point is kind of high but it's worth every penny!!! Get here NOW! read more
I have been to Walala a few times now since opening. The noodles are comforting dishes for me. Reminds me of my childhood in Chinatown. I usually get the hor fun. I've done chicken and the short ribs. Was not fan of the chicken. I love the short ribs. The only thing I really dislike is how the hor fun sticks together even while in the soup. It's difficult to separate with chopsticks. They aren't suppose to stick together. I have done the Korean wings. Not a fan. Way too saucy. Dumplings are good. My son has done the ground beef noodles with no soup a few times. The last time he got sick right after eating half of the noodles. Had to run to bathroom with stomach cramps. Service is ok. read more

Came here for my fiance's birthday for a quick lunch! We came at a bit of an ambiguous time for lunch but we were seated very quickly and our food arrived in less than 5 minutes after we ordered. I recommend coming at more of an ambiguous hour if you want to be seated with a larger group of people! We got the short rib and this time tried the wagyu soup w chili oil! The wagyu was delicious and very tender! We signed up for the noodles lover club hoping to use the $15 off but didn't realize we couldn't sign up day of but thankfully the staff was able to give us 20% off our meal as a birthday gift to my fiancé! Overall great experience :) read more

I understand the hype!! Delicious food. Free noodle refills! Lovely service! And the dumplings??? I have had sooo many dumplings in my life and these are the best. The wrapper is so thin and tender but then they make it them with wings and pan fry the bottom so it's crispy and yum. The filling is seasoned perfectly. The he broth in my pork rib soup was flavorful.. noodles perfectly chewy .. just so yum. So happy I came in and I will be back for sure. read more

I was unprepared for how exceptional these noodles were gonna be. I ordered for takeout. I ordered the house stirfry noodles. The wait time was kind of long so be prepared to wait. I got there right as they opened and there were only a few other people there but I still waited a good 30 minutes for my to go order. And while I was waiting the entire place filled up to capacity. I got my noodles ran some errands and then went home to eat them reheated. I honestly don't know what I was expecting, but I was completely blown away by how delicious these noodles were. The texture and the flavor were unlike anything else I've had. I definitely plan on going back again and trying their soups. read more
New store in Orlando and wow are they making a name for themselves! Cute aesthetic but almost had an Ikea vibe because of the colors. The chef makes authentic hand pulled noodles right in front of you and what a show! The skill and expertise they have was incredible! The noodles are super chewy and soft and the broth is absolutely mouthwatering. And the best part is? They refill your noodles upon request. I cannot wait to go back and try their other selections. read more

The noodles are so good! They're handmade, fresh, bouncy, and chewy - perfect. Been here twice in 2 weeks cause it's so good. You get to watch them make the fresh hand-pulled noodles through the glass and it's mesmerizing. I'm gluten free and got the rice noodles and the hor fun (wide rice noodle) which were so satisfying. Btw, you get free noodle refills! But the portions are pretty big so it's hard to finish to even get refills. The service is great. The only reason you need to wait a little extra is when they run out of noodles and need to make more. But they're constantly making fresh noodles! The restaurant is clean and very open. Highly recommend trying this place out. Really can't go wrong with any of the options. read more

For our first visit, we ordered a variety of their offerings: braised beef boneless short rib stew with hand-pulled noodles, tea-infused boiled eggs, sizable beef skewers, boiled pork dumplings, deep-fried dough sticks (youtiao), fresh soybean milk, orange fruit tea, and a strawberry mochi milk tea. I loved the braised beef beef stew, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the broth was rich and flavorful. The beef skewers are simple but delicious. The dumplings are nice and simple. Love love love the deep-fried dough sticks, they were the best I've had! They're great dipped in soybean milk or soaked in soup, and my favorite thing to do is tearing them into pieces and adding them to the soup. The orange fruit tea was just like a crushed up orange, while the strawberry mochi milk tea was less sweet than expected and seemed like it was milk only rather than a milk tea. One of the highlights of Walala is watching the skilled chef pull the noodles. Plus, they offer free refills on all of their noodles, including rice noodles and ramen! The service was fairly quick. They didn't check in much but I only had to flag them down a couple of times. The interior was bright and not very spacious, but it offered a reasonable amount of seating read more

Dear Jasmine,…
I am always in the mood and in search of hand pulled noods -- and Orlando has a new spot serving Lanzhou noodles. The clear, consommé broth was aromatic, light and full of flavor -- and the noodles, absolutely the real deal. Authentic, traditional, perfect cook and chew. What an amazing bowl of food. I ordered mine with braised beef - so filling! Can't wait to go back. read more
Delicious hand pulled noodles. It was fun to watch the chef make the hand pulled noodles. I had the Mango Pomelo Sago drink which was fantastic. The taste was good and I loved the chunks of fresh mango and pink pomelo (its a pink citrus fruit) at the bottom that came up through the straw. To eat I had the Signature Braised Beef Boneless Short Rib Stew Rice Noodles that came with the three classic side dishes. I ordered it medium spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. On the table there is a spicy pepper sauce that you can add to your soup. The boneless short ribs in the soup was so delicious and the hand pulled noodles were also fantastic. The broth was not memorable. My vegetarian husband had the Hand-pulled Noodles with vegetables (vegetable soup) which is on the menu they give you but not on the website menu. He LOVED it! We also had the potstickers which were amazing! I would go back to the restaurant just for that If I only had one choice if what to eat there. The three classic side dishes were good. My favorite of the three were the peanuts. ALSO, the service was great. There were two waiters who stayed in the dining room constantly scanning the tables to see if anyone needed something. One time when I looked at them, one of them immediately came over to the table to ask how it was going. He had seen how I was rolling the noodles with my chopsticks and asked if I needed a fork. He got the forks for us really fast. read more
So happy that we have a fresh Lanzhou style noodle restaurant in Orlando! The food was good, but make sure to verify that what you order will come with the house made noodles since they will let you substitute them (ie change up those rice noodles for the hand pulled ones !). We ordered the short rib noodle soup combo (and subbed the noodles), the larger pan fried dumplings that looked like xiaolongbao, and the bbq beef. For the combo, definitely not worth it just to get peanuts, edamame, and a seaweed salad. You're better off just ordering the soup. And they do give you extra noodles for free, which makes it definitely possible to share. Some tables don't have their house chili oil, which is delicious so ask for it if you don't have it. For the dumplings, they are not the juicy pan fried Shanghai style, and come with dumpling sauce instead of xinjiang vinegar. They were good but I would pass on them the next time or just go with the regular pan fried dumplings since the ratio of dough to filling is a bit better tasting imo. The bbq cumin beef was a bit fatty and deep fried- good but there's definitely better out there. The service was pretty indifferent when we went. Overall, I definitely recommend this when you're craving a bowl of those noodles! read more
A little on the expensive side. The food was great. The cold appetizers were a small portion for the price. They hand make the noodles. See my photos. They open for lunch. Then close. They open back for dinner at 5pm. The braised spicy short ribs were my favorite. We took it togo. They don't give you much soup. It was salty so we added more water, and it was perfect. I'm not sure if that was done on purpose for togo items. Inside looks new and clean. read more

Dear Mark,…
We loved Chili Star so we were happy that we had our favorite server. As non beef or pork eaters we were very limited as to what we could order. Most of the Brotz have pork in it, but there was one vegetarian broth that we used as our base for a chicken noodle dish. The stock was rich and very flavorful. The noodles has a great texture, but when I think of hand pulled noodles I think of a wider noodle not so much a Ramen noodle much like I would get at our favorite food truck. The bowls were giant and the chicken was great. I like that that they gave you scissors to help cut the very long noodles. We also tried the tea soaked egg, which was OK. I'm not sure for us that I would drive out there again since there are so many other options that cater more to our limited diet. Yeah advantage here is the give you as much noodle as you want so we asked for a wide noodle, which I think was the rice noodle and hubby doctored it up with chili and black vinegar read more
Super friendly and efficient service. They welcome us like old friends. The Manager, Sofia is on top of everything. Food was delicious; their hand-pulled noodles with beef shank are the real thing. Let's start off by stating that there are not many fresh hand pulled noodles in Orlando. This is one of the best hand pulled noodles I've had and it's located in Orlando. This is a Lanzhou hand pull noodles. I had to come back twice to try their different type of hand pulled noodles. Please keep in mind this is still their soft opening period. Food: with the open kitchen concept, you can tell that they made the noodles fresh from scratch. I end up ordering the classic beef stirred stew with handful noodles and with mild spicy sauce on it but you can have this spicy on the side as needed. I also ordered their handmade dumplings and their skewers as part of the combination. In addition we ordered the hor fun hand pulled noodles, which is their wide noodles. The pricing of these noodle bowls are on the higher side. however they are very generous with portion and you get one free refill of noodles per bowl. From experience the second refill, it will definitely fill you up. I enjoy the broth because it was not salty and very well balanced, and their meat was seasoned very well. 5/5 Service: when I went, it was pretty packed, but we only waited five minutes and they also have a noodle bar where you can sit on the counter and eat there if you're by yourself. The service is rapidly fast when you place your order in you can get your food within 15 minutes easily. They are very, very organized and attentive to your table. However, they tend to run out of some stuff sometimes even if it's 5 PM. We understand that since it is a brand new place and they're still working on the forecasting and training 4.5/5 Atmosphere: it is a very well designed layout and spacious where the tables are separate from each other, and you can have conversation and not be disturbing other people In addition, they have done very good job of showcasing their food via high quality, professional images. 4.5/5 I would definitely come back here again to continue trying the other food and their homemade desserts, but looking forward to see them grow and hopefully they stay consistent with their quality. But they are off to a great start! read more

The noodles were tasty, give very I wasn't a super fan of the broth/veggie blends. The flavoring was not there. The drinks were not tasty. Service was okay. Sat quickly, no set waiter, food came out at different times without being told that the remainder was coming. So that left our table having to ask "is _____ coming out?". As far as the restaurant itself (ambiance)...not bad. I expected a experience that showcased the noodle. making better. All in all, it was an experience to try, but the food was just okay. read more
