Here's a message for MassageLuXe though, find a way to make sure your masseuses' hand are warm. Feeling cold lotion or a not so warm hands from time to time throughout the massage is not the best service you can provide. My wife also was surprise that she did get any kind of steam to her face to open up the pores on her skin before the facial. All in all, it was a good experience.

When we sat down to wait, three women came out to say, "We tried calling you five or six times to tell you that our massage therapist wasn't going to available until 11:30 so we pushed back your facials." No, no you didn't try to call--no missed calls, no voicemails--and what about the three appointment reminders, including one this morning? "Well we tried to call you , . ." NO, no you didn't. What's my number? "Uh, is it 302 . . . "NO. My number starts with 610. "Well I have a 10:30 client." You're telling us that you booked someone in during the time our appointments were scheduled?" Needless to say, we walked out after being treated so badly without even an apology or explanation as to why you would book a massage when the therapist wasn't even going to come in until 90 minutes later? She was rude, cut me off and hung up in my ear when I called today. I scheduled a new patient visit, booked 1 month out. I arrived 20 minutes early, paid a $40 co-pay upfront. Filled out a ton of paperwork ( it took me 30 minutes because I like to be thorough). I literally saw the doctor for 8 minutes, no exaggeration. He asked 3 questions, gave me a script for X-rays and I was sent back to the front. No treatment. At the front they did not explain anything, where to go to get the x-rays, if I needed a follow up appointment, nothing. I had to ask where to go and let them know the doctor wanted to reschedule for next day. I canceled today's appointment and requested a refund of my co-pay. I'm not sure if they are not use to treating people who look like me, but I did not get treated well at all. I will not be sending my family or anyone I know here as long as the front desk manager is still there. I'm sure Dr. West does his best, but with a name like Be TRULY WELL, I expected more compassion, comfort and kindness. What I got was rudeness and irritation.

Timing was a bit behind relative to my scheduled appointment, but my hair turned out great, and it was well worth having to rush to the event afterwards. Stylist Morgan really came through with a creative braided updo, which drew a lot of compliments throughout the evening based on its uniqueness. My one criticism is of the space, which has rather unflattering, almost office-style lighting, the kind that makes you feel haggard sitting in front of the mirror and does not really do the stylists' work justice. I didn't realize just how pretty my hair looked until later when I got outside. In any case, I would highly recommend Morgan for formal styling. Aside from being talented she is also very gentle. I'm quite sensitive to having my hair pulled, and tend to dread professional styling because of it. Morgan, though, had such a light touch that I barely knew she was there.

First, their receptionists are customer service experts. They listen, genuinely care and matched me to the perfect stylist, Eva. Janice and Vicki, I think you are rockstars and deserve bonuses. Totally made me feel welcome and special. Second, the salon is clean, chic and has a great vibe. The 14 women working there work really well together. At some places you can pick up on the cattiness. Not here. The vibe is serene and they all work like they actually like each other. Professionalism on fleek. Third, they carry great products like Unite, one of my favorite Carlsbad companies. And lastly, Eva was a rockstar. I presented hair that really need a champ and she delivered impeccable results that I'm loving. She was super friendly and easy to talk to. Her back up profession should be a therapist because after talking to her I felt a lot less weight off my shoulders and left feeling pretty again.
