Made it nice and easy. The building is tucked away from the road** so it's easy to miss the turn! Just turn into the shopping center where the karate place is, but go straight back. The office is cute, cozy, and clean! Aja is very welcoming and personable. The experience wasn't awkward at all. She offered me a bottle of water as I signed the paperwork. We went back into a room where there was an electric fireplace going and tv on. It made the whole experience more relaxing and comfortable. Aja talked me through all of it, and honestly - I laughed. It took a total of about 20 minutes! If you're worried about the pain - don't be. It's not awful. If you can stub your toe on an end table and not cry - you got this. Aja even gave me the Groupon price for my first time (even though I didn't have a Groupon with me). They accept cash or card. And you can add tip on your card, as well. Overall; super happy with the process and the results. I'll be coming back as a regular.

Legit like I grabbed it off the shelf in 1980. I start having flash backs of perm rods with the first whiff. Google it kids. Ok so back to my story....so I decide to pop into this joint after making several appointments and canceling them. There's 2 women working the front reception area and they are just lovely. I'm neurotic and nervous and asking her ridiculous questions like "will I be able to walk out of here?" ‍ They are friendly and reassuring but not at all trying to push me into anything, and made me feel so comfortable. As soon as I said, "yes! I'm going to do it now" I immediately regretted it in my head and took a seat beside another young lady, at least ten years younger then me who told me it was also her first time getting a Brazilian. I couldn't believe how calm and cool and collected she looked, meanwhile I was frantically texting my husband, and telling him I'm doing the thing I've been going back and forth about doing for YEARS and his immediate response? Was "OMG". Because that's how serious this was, is, will forever be. Caitlin (the most amazing Esthetician I have ever met) called me back, just in time because I'm pretty sure the other young lady who looked calm was starting to have 2nd thoughts and looking towards the door after watching me twitch, bite the sides of my nails while forcing deep breathes and trying to calm down and text my husband for support, which probably looked something like someone in labor or having a panic attack and a seizure at the same time. Caitlin had me in and out in 15 minutes. She was professional and kind. And there was hardly any pain! I just can't believe I took this long NOT getting this done. I feel ten years younger. I look ten years younger. ok ok but seriously, it's amazing. Go there, ask for Caitlin, chat with the lovely receptionists, and leave feeling wonderful. No shaving. No 1980's perm rod flash backs. She gave me the total price of $255 not including the hair packs and boho curls i needed to buy separately for my style. I stayed in communication with her by text, secured the booking, and even communicated with her on the hair she wanted to use when i went to the beauty supply store to buy the hair. So the hair i could get from the beauty supply store was longer, so i asked her if she could work with that and use less hair or cut it shorter because i wanted it shorter to my bra strap and not my butt, as i was about to have a baby shortly after my hair was done, and didn't want to have long hair while caring for a newborn. She understood this, and also understood i was getting my hair done for a friend's event and a photo shoot organized by friends 2 days later. So got my hair done on Saturday with Cynthia, she was nice- great personality, it appears. She did the boho curls with 2 of 3 hair packs and 2 packs of the boho curls; she recommended that i keep the length of the hair go go to the event and shoot, and come back after to get it cut to the length i wanted. It should be noted, the hair wasn't trimmed to look neater or anything, but i didn't say anything about this because i didn't want to offend anyone. Additionally, when i was about to send her the money we agreed on prior to the booking, she told me the price was $305. I explained it was not what we had discussed as i showed her the notes i had from our first meeting. She stated it was a miscommunication and agreed to honor the price. I paid her $300 by zelle, including tip. On Wednesday, i reached out to her to ask if i could come in to get the hair cut to the length i originally wanted, we arranged a time on Thursday evening. She stated it was a $25 feet to cut the hair, i agreed, no issues. When i arrived and she was about to cut the hair, she said she needed to make sure the hair would take heat so the braids don't unravel. So she tested the hair and said it was fine to cut it since it adjusted to the heat. She cut the hair, and i saw her use a lighter to seal some of the ends; she did it so fast i thought she had sealed all the ends. Anyway, right after she put the hair in a bun that i requested. When i got home, i noticed many of the individual pieces of braids had unraveled and were coming apart. I reached out to her to let her know this, she asked if i wanted to come back for her to seal the ends a bit better. I told her no that i was not going to come back; and i was going to seal it myself. Honestly, i thought my review to them would have been 100% positive, but i am so disappointed with everything right now, I am taking the braids out as we speak because it doesn't look neat anymore. I think she rushed through the cut, because she had another client waiting, and perhaps if she had cut it the Saturday we did the hair, maybe we won't be here. My hair is less than a week old and it's already out. Aside from this experience, the staff appear nice and God-fearing so that's always a great thing, Unfortunately, my experience was not great overall.
