I arrived at about 2:30 in the afternoon and there was only a single table of five. I ordered at the counter and also paid at that time. I was given a number and i sat at a two-top table, placed the number on my table and waited. Just precious 5-8 minutes my food was being to me table. I ordered Drunken Noodle with a spice level of 2 on a 5 point scale. It was more mild than was expecting but very enjoyable. This has wide noodles and such a good mix of ingredients including onion, green peppers, chicken and the sauce was delicious. I rank it as good as, of not better than any drunken noodle dish I've ordered from anywhere else. The server was friendly. The decor was with plain but it was clean and I'd definitely visit again for dine-in ir take out. read more

I was really in the mood for Chinese food. I am visiting a friend..I do not know the restaurants in this area..So..I Googled and went to WaiWai Kitchen. I ordered beef broccoli with fried rice oh and a half dozen order of chicken wings. The bill was $30 20. Incredibly expensive. No egg roll or spring roll included. How was the food? The beef was tough. It was salted to the moon and the rice tasted stale. Will I go back or recommend WaiWai Kitchen? Absolutely not. It was WAY TOO expensive and the food was less than desirable. Underrated spot here on Lemmon! First time experience and it was great. Wish they gave more gyoza for the appetizer but the entree portion made up for that. It was served hot and ready, my mouth was watering! Their spice level was accurate and I was still able to enjoy the food without my stomach hurting afterwards. Our server was nice despite us coming in an hour before they closed. Very spacious and the tables are free to rearrange so if you come in a big party you can still sit together! read more

Fantastic. I loved the pad Thai. Best I ever had! Yes even better than my previous favorite.

The food is subpar. I got orange chicken chef special and there was generally no flavor to the rice or the actual chicken besides orange. The mango sticky rice was alright but save yourself the money and get Ho Mei Express , actual huge portions, deliciously saucy and flavorful. Plus they have sauces and soy sauce available for you. I think this place is very underrated. I've been here several times and really like food here, especially the papaya salad they give you a lot of papaya. I also like the curry, and thai fried rice. I noticed the last 2 times I was here, there was a bleach cleaning product smell to the place (hope they change this because the smell is distracting when you're eating). read more

So happy to find a good shrimp fried rice in the area. Now granted I'd only tried one other place that was close, but it wasn't good so my hunt continued. I could tell the shrimp were previously cooked as some were cold within my rice, and lacked the flavor of the ingredients added to the rice but it was still overall good. I also ordered 2 spring rolls which were good too, so I'd return and order this and their thai. I'll give it 3.5 stars for now (and round up) and adjust later if needed. read more

This is one of my go-to spots. I love the variety of their menu, and their Thai food is so good. I've ordered almost every dish, and they're all good. My favorites are basil fried rice, green curry, and the drunken noodles. I've gotten it dine-in, and the workers are so nice and will talk to you (but also know when to leave you to your food!). I've gotten delivery and carry out, and they always have the food prepared quickly! The portions are huge and sometimes I can save it for two meals (although my boyfriend eats it all at once if he's really hungry). The spice level is pretty accurate too, but I recommend really emphasizing extra spicy if you're like me and want that lil extra punch. There's a big parking lot, and they're open pretty late, so it's convenient and easily accessible. If you like Thai food, I'd recommend giving this place w try! read more

Been a patron of this restaurant for almost a year now. Food and service is always consistent and good. Been a few months since Ive ordered anything. Got take out 3 days ago. Just wanted to shout out to WaiWai that my food was the best it's ever been. My shrimp/chicken lo mein melted in my mouth and the egg rolls and steamed tulip dumplings were better than ever. So was my seaweed salad. Thanks to your generous portions I was able to get 4 meals out of that order. Who knew during a crisis your food would be more exceptional. The guy working the register is way cool & funny! He started off the experience nicely, as he was laid back, but engaging and professional. The lime green booths and low hanging silver globe lights (which my 6'3" hubby bonked his head on...LOL!) fits this spot. All dishes are priced perfectly $10 & under, except of course for the sushi, which we didn't try this time. Portions sizes are large. The dumplings were good and my noodles and my hubby's sriracha fried with shrimp was good, but the rice was on the gummy side. My wide rice noodles were cooked perfectly. Had the chicken fried rice, it was delicious!! Sometimes with fried rice I pair it with something else since it can be kind of boring, but this fried rice was so delish all on its own! My partner had the chicken teriyaki and it was also fantastic! (Definitely think I'll have to order this myself in the future). It didn't taste at all artificial or anything, had the perfect amount of teriyaki. We also had the spring rolls and edamame, which both were good. I do wish the edamame came with some more salt on them, but otherwise great experience and definitely will be our new takeout spot. The most recent time, I ordered takeout. They got my order completely wrong, but of course I didn't notice until I was home already, and was too tired to try to get it fixed. The things they gave me were the same price as what I ordered, so I was less inclined. I got the shrimp tempura roll instead of the rainbow roll that I ordered. That roll was doused in sauce and didn't seem that fresh, so I was a little disappointed. The pad thai was also really dry and not flavorful, like it had been sitting out for a while and not fresh. Overall, I'm sad, since this was my favorite quick local thai place in the area, but I guess I'll have to try elsewhere. I hope it gets back to how good it once was!! read more

Today me and my wife found another instant classic restaurant. A combination of different Asian cuisines in one place. She was really feeling the lettuce wrap with chicken. This is my favourite fast asian food place in this area, so I give it 5 stars. I, personally, think you will not find something better around (everything else is either not good, or not good service or is a sit-down place). Sometimes (usually the start of each semester) they will have deals for students. But if you want some fast asian food that still has some quality (ie. you don't want to go to Panda Express :P), check this place out. You pay the price they give you. You don't have to worry about tipping. Its amazing how they renovated the place. The space used to be "General Joe's". It looked ghastly! The sitting area was totally empty all white and white tile, as if you were walking into some kind of horror-movie-asylum set. I don't even remember if the food was good because I never, ever went back. Which means the food didn't bring me back and the creepy-looking-ness of it kept me back lol. Wai Wai replaced GJ, thank goodness. THE FOOD----- I always get the chicken fried rice. I love how they make it and I love that they put a side of cucumbers. I like the spicy drunken noodles on occasion and the chicken wraps when I'm feeling lighter. Their gyoza (pot-stickers) is REALLY good. A little more expensive, but so delicious. I didn't care for their sushie. If you live near by, they deliver. Even to your dorm. You have to buy $10 worth of food, though. read more

This place is very relaxed and casual, great decor and very comfortable seating. I was one of few people actually sitting down to eat there with most people who walked in taking carry-out. I ordered at the cashier, and first thing i noted was that i wasn't asked what level of spiciness i wanted. I guess i just attributed that to the server looking at me and assuming i can't really handle too much spice (true story) but I do like SOME level of spice in my food, after all Thai food has to have a certain level of spice to it. I got the miso soup cup to start with and the pineapple fried rice with chicken for an entree. The miso soup was mediocre, with a small amount of tiny tofu cubes, overpowered with a generous (too generous, you really don't need that much) chopped green onions. On to the main course, it was brought to me, didn't look too appealing. You actually have to get up and get your utensils from the side (totally fine with that, i'm just adding it as a pointer to first timers as i was pretty confused about it). The two pieces of tomatoes in the dish were strange, i think they were steak tomatoes which i wouldn't expect in that dish, and after a bite into the first i just moved them to the side. The pineapple fried rice itself was ok, but it was WAY too bland, absolutely no flavor, that i actually got some sriracha hot sauce and some soy sauce and added them to it just to give some taste, although i was still disappointed. Average meal, the only benefits were that i was full at the end, and the prices are cheap.. However, next time i want thai food i know i won't be coming here. read more
