    Holy bbq batman

Amazing Korean BBQ. From the moment you drive in and are guided to a parking spot by the parking attendant, who then inquires how many in your party, Wagyu House is an exemplary model of service. I am almost reluctant to give it all the praise it deserves for fear that it will become the next "foodie" destination venue, and I'll never get another seat. Wagyu house, first of all boasts 2 of its own personal farms where the Wagyu cattle are raised specifically just for this restaurant. Just. for. this. restaurant! I cant even begin to describe the flavour and texture of the Wagyu beef cheeks, which were graciously cooked for us BBQ noobs by the attentive staff here. Even though Ive been to quite a few Korean BBQ places, Ive never been given advice on just how to go about each dish. Here, the staff are so attentive I learned everything. Rather than a traditional menu, guests are invited to exit the seating area to a specially designed cold cuts/butchers buffet fridges, where you can pick out all the meat you would like to cook or have cooked on your table bbq, There are mixed packs and specific meats like Wagyu beef, beef tongue, chili Squid and Pork belly. After paying for your choices, everything aside from drinks is complimentary on your table. We were given about 12 condiments. Including spicy squid sushi, Kimchi. water Kimchi, Honeyed Sweet potato, mung beans, spicy garlic stems, sweet chicken and broccoli. I have heard this place goes ballistic on Friday and Saturday nights and I can see why. It's an odd spot for a restaurant along Parramatta road, but this place is certainly worth the trek. Eat the Wagyu. I cant believe it's not butter,

Coming to Wagyu house was an experience from start to finish beginning when we arrived in the car park and were guided into our spot by a hi-vis guy channeling those dudes on airport tarmac. We were then greeted at our car door and shown to our table by the host: resplendent in man make up and ?wig. I'll admit to being thoroughly daunted by the expedition but the host was so polite and explained the whole process to us: Step 1. Go next door to select and pay for your meat Step 2. Return to your table where your BBQ will be ready and your meat platters and included sides delivered to you Step 3. Order drinks and extra dishes at the table ( HIGHLY RECOMMEND KIMCHI PANCAKE) Step 4. Stop caring about how much money you just spent on amazing marble score beef and eat until you die. I died. Honestly the only draw back was the price which I wasn't prepared for - we spent $180 on meat between 4 of us but goddamn it was totally worth it.

Very expensive, wagyu beef costs about $250 a kilo! Everything at BBQ counter is overpriced. We did not order wagyu beef but some beef ribs and chicken instead, average taste though the charcoal and ventilation are very good. However, the dishes we ordered from the menu are quite tasty and with generous portion. Dolsot bibimbap, my favourite korean dish, is very delicious. Galbi tang - Short rib and vegetable combination soup is surprisingly yummy with loads of beef ribs, a must try! Side dishes are up to standard and free.(not sure if only free when you have BBQ?) A good place for Korean food but too expensive for Korean BBQ unless you desperately want to try wagyu beef in Korean style.

One of the best and cheap Korean All You Can Eat BBQs I've found so far while traveling

One of the best and affordable all you can eat spots I've been to in awhile. The selection is mean!

Family pack consists two types of wagyu. The ones on the top right hand corner are the slight better ones.

I usually prefer my beef medium rare, but it got mixed with the pork, so everything got cooked well done. If my beef was cooked medium rare, this would probably be a 5 star review. Sirloin Beef $39 AUD - Beautifully marbled. Marinated Beef Ribs $36AUD - This was good and had generous meat. We ordered too much meat, but amazingly we finished it all, so it had to have been really good. Cheese Corn Side Dish - Okay, too cheesy for me. I bet very few people say that, lol. Tofu Side Dish - I am not a tofu or soup person, so I did not try. They have both Korean and Australian beers, thank you. I chose to drink the local beers, as the Korean brand beers were the same as the U.S. Support locals. Atmosphere - Small local restaurant. Indoor/outdoor seating were very limited. Semi-open kitchen, see picture. You will be crammed in to maximize space. Open 7 days a week from 11am to 10:30pm. Not sure if they have bathrooms; sorry I can not remember and I did not take a picture. Service - Full service. They actually cook the food for you at your table. Both the owner and waiter cooked for us. I really appreciated that. But I am also sure they do that to turn the tables faster, good business practice. Win/win. Price - See menu, Korean foods are always a little on the expensive side, but when you take into consideration the current US exchange rate, it was a sale for us. :) Owner Comment - Congrats on your success.

Make sure to get there before 7pm as it does get very busy. If you have a big group you can make a reservation, but also we were able to ask one of the staff and they organized more chairs and joined tables for us. All the chicken is good, tender long is probably my favorite, sweet+spicy is also up there. But at the same time I always order a variety. Also warning, the hot+spicy is _very_ hot and spicy, but it is still tasty :) There is more than just chicken, plus it looked like there was small selection of vegetarian options. Price-wise, the chicken feels a little expensive. The price range was ~$17 for a half service and ~$32 for a full serve. Drinks are fairly cheap, they had various beer bucket deals, 5x$20 Coors, 4x$20 Crown Lager, they also had a few good beers and kopparberg on tap (around $5-6), plus everything else you would usually find in a standard RSL-type bar (spirits, beer jugs, etc). It is quite kid friendly, they have high-chairs and a playground around the side. Plus space around the tables to squeeze in a pram/stroller. There is a small parking lot around the back plus street parking. But it fills up pretty quickly.

When I moved to Sydney, I…read moreheard all about Strathfield and was excited that this seemed to be the closest thing to Koreatown back in LA. I came out here on a Tuesday for lunch after seeing raves about Hansang all over TikTok, but I was mostly let down by the food quality. For my first time in Strathfield, it didn't leave an impression on me and left me wanting ... better Korean food. I got the seafood tofu stew and was extremely disappointed by the flavors in it. The picture on the menu, which was loaded with seafood, looked nothing like the reality of the stew-- which honestly wouldn't have been a problem if the flavors didn't feel so off to me. Upon first spoonful, you just get hit with the taste of garlic (which is odd to me because I love tofu stew but never notice the garlic flavor of the ones I get back in LA's Koreatown). Flavors were forgettable and the soup was simply bland with a side of garlic. If you're used to BCD Tofu House quality stew, forget it. You're better off ordering something else from the menu-- although my friend also remarked her soup was nothing special either. I wouldn't have left a review like this if it weren't for the prices. As soon as I opened the menu, I noticed that a lot of the stew/soup/dishes were similar prices. That might not seem odd to some, but as someone that grew up around authentic Korean food, I can tell you you're being scammed. There is no world in which you should be paying $20+ for a kimchi pancake (even in AUD). Sullungtang was also extremely overpriced for what it is. Charging for extra side dishes, too? Crazy. Take your money elsewhere. I refuse to believe this is the most authentic Korean food you will find in Sydney's proclaimed Koreatown.

The charcoal cooking method gives a great taste as opposed to some of the more common electric burners. Don't let the entry fool you, you'll have to take the elevator up to the second floor to access this restaurant. Once you reach the second floor you'll be greeted by the friendly staff who will seat you immediately. While you progress to your table you'll pass by a showcase of varied meats a lot of which is Wagyu! The displays were clean and well organized surely to amp up your appetite. In a glass room you'll notice one of the chefs operating a meat slicer as the meat is cut fresh upon ordering. As I'm sure some of you Korean BBQ fanatics have experienced some restaurants have pre portioned frozen meats. Don't skimp out on this restaurant, the food quality is high so make the most of it! While honeymooning in Sydney my wife and I were on the hunt for "Yangnyeom Gejang". Neither my wife nor I are Korean but "Yangnyeom Gejang" is Spicy Marinated Raw Crab. If you've never tried it and are open minded seriously give it a try as its not readily available. The crab dish was extremely well portioned and makes for a great side dish/appetizer. The banchan was superb and you'll be offered a variety of side dishes to accompany your meal. Aside from the raw crab we ordered Wagyu Beef Tongue, Galbi, and Pork belly! All of which satisfied us and we were well satiated! Whether you're just visiting or a local resident I HIGHLY recommend Jang Ta Bal for your next Korean BBQ venture!
