The Korean recipe for Beef ribs is the best ever and whenever I dine Korean I order ribs if they are on the menu, if you like ribs you must check it out. Manna also offer a delicious deep fried chicken dish as well. If you want the full Korean experience though, Manna offer Korean Liquor as well as a small selection of reasonably priced Australian wine and beers. Go get the ribs, you won't be disappointed.

They have a pretty good reservation system and honour their bookings quite well as long as you're not too late. The place is always packed for dinner so booking in advance is a must. Your senses are assaulted as you walk towards the joint, smokey meaty goodness can be smelt from a distance. They have all your favourite raw meats to cook on the coal stoves at your table. Various beef, pork and chicken cuts are available from natural to marinated. There are also a few seafood offerings - prawns, squid, octopus and mussels. The quality of meat is pretty good, tender beef and fatty where it should be (pork belly). As well as the traditional Korean bbq offerings, they have a decent selection of pre cooked food from fried noodles to sushi. What I do like about this place is the copious amounts of lettuce, kim chi, shallot salad and various condiments that go so well if freshly cooked bbq meat. And if you still have room for dessert, they have icecream, fruit, Korean jelly and a refreshing cracked rice drink. At $32 a head for dinner, it's pretty good value.

It is, however, a relatively new and very good Korean BBQ restaurant. I had to ask fellow yelpers where I ate because this place needs a branding lesson (as in molten metal on cowhide). The menu doesn't have the name on it, instead you get a double dose of discombobulation as Korean characters co-mingle with the English words "Korean table", which just confuses the bejeezus outta me. In fact you'd be so hard pressed to find this place that I doubt anyone will ever see this review because they won't be looking for Dukbaegi. Hopefully my search engine prowess doesn't fail me now, and by entering the keyword *Makanai* which is the restaurant next door, we should see this result rise like cream to the top. So how was the food? It was delish, fresh and hot (temperature not spicy). The positives were the serving size and the sides - which consisted of little potato fritters, mini-mash, and miso soup. The downside was that it took a long time for food to come out despite the place being relatively empty. I had the BBQ Chilli Pork Hotpot and it was super tasty. After narrowing it down to 2 choices I asked the waitress what she thought and she recommended the chilli seafood kalguksu if I liked spicy food. It was a great choice on a cold sydney autumn night. The soup was spicy and very flavoursome. My only complaint would be the chopsticks. Why do Koreans insist on using metal flat chopsticks? It makes it very difficult to use, especially with noodles. Dukbaegi is a welcomed addition to the chatswood food scene and a great replacement for where used to stand a sub par dessert house.

If you decide to get the Chilli Cheese Chicken...just be warned that it is VERY spicy...like to the point you're sweating and feel like dying. I played it safe and just went for the wagyu mixed grill. The ordering process is QR code based (scan the code on your table, put in your order, food shows up). I made our food and drink selections and within literal seconds a team of 3 people descended on our table with all of the sides and drinks, quickly followed by the meat platter. The sides were really good, especially the kimchi which we had to get refilled a couple of times. The wagyu meat selection was phenomenal and in all it proved to be the exact right amount for a group of 3 of us. I've been to Seoul before and had good Korean BBQ in several major cities in the US as well. I honestly think this was the best I've had.
