    Marinated beef

Food was good and I enjoyed the experience. The meat and accompanying side dishes were all fresh.

Ran into this restaurant while leaving a club at 2am and it was the best thing ever! Not only are they open late, their food is delicious - some of the best Korean food I've had! Service was slow but then again it was a full restaurant so makes sense.

Look at all these side doses that come with a $12 main meal! Hawker heaven.

You, ah, you a night owl? Love stomping around town at the witching hour when most normal folks are asleep dreaming of, well, whatever normal folk dream about? I feel ya. And if you have the hankering for, say, a hot pot at 11pm or so, where you gonna go to find a place that will dish you up a big steaming face-full of tricked-out foody goodness? Head down Chinatown way. DJKK is a late-night staple among Sydney's flavour-crazy Korean pop, and it's open hella late, yo. In fact, I've never eaten there earlier than 10pm. And the food? Just, wow. Most mains come with an armada of little side dishes. Last time I rocked kimchi, spicy potato, mystery greens, seaweed, bean shoot salad, and a few other things I forget, but it was epic. And the main - beef short rib and chinese cabbage soup, plus rice - is crazy filling too. Haven't tried their hot pots yet as I've always flown solo, but when I rustle me up some wingmen that's what I'm coming back and gunning for.

Thank you Ramen for tasting so good !!

Haha damn the memories at this place !! Pretty sure its 24 hours cause i have had all hours of the day and night feeds here lol !! Im a massive fan of their chicken Ramen soup and love their many starters like the chicken fingers, cheese sticks and or even some of g here main dishes are starter sizes. The food here is always delcious and has always been great priced . Won't ever get suck of this place so was too easy in giving this place top stars !!

Our family loves Korean food so when we got to Sydney, we began searching for the best Korean food in town. This place was super crowded on a Thursday night so we knew it was popular. I ordered the ox tail soup, my brother ordered the dolsot bibimbap, and my mom ordered the galbitang. The side dishes were pretty good. Not the best I've had, but better than average. Ox tail soup - First time I've ever had this soup and it was delicious. They usually don't season it beforehand and give you salt to do it yourself which I liked. The broth was so light and tasty. The meat was delicious and the portions were nice as well. Dolsot bibimbop - Typical bibimbop. Raw egg on the top which is must. Ingredients were fresh and the meat had a lot of flavor. Galbitang - Again, the soup was very light and tasty. Somewhat similar to my oxtail soup. My mom is very picky about her soups and she finished the whole bowl to herself. Must've been good. Tasty Korean food and apparently it's open until 4am. This place is awesome.

I love an interactive dining experience. While some may argue that you don't go to a restaurant to have to do the cooking yourself, I think this endearing tradition sets Korean BBQ apart from your average dining experience. And I'm all for originality. I walked in off the street with a friend, without any prior knowledge about Dae Jang Kum. I let my friend order. We got mixed dumplings, a seafood pancake and another seafood stew. The meal came with small bowls of sides which was a fun little sampling experience. I had never tried kimchee before, so I gave that a go and really liked it. The seafood pancake was my definite favorite ($15), It was enormous (larger than large plate size) and chock full of various underwater life. The pancake came with dipping sauces as well which added a little kick and rounded out the flavours. At Dae Jang Kum Korean BBQ, the food is great, the service is nearly impeccable and the overall experience is fun and unique. Next time I go, I intend to cook my own food at the table. I just want to make sure when I do, I'm not wearing my finest clothes and don't have somewhere to go afterwards for fear of stinking up the place like meat and smoke.

I ordered the spicy cheesy chicken but I get this. Not worth the $30 I am really disappointed with the quality as it was one of the few places that was open after 2am Please reconsider the items that you put on this dish as it is fell short of what was expected Sorry not coming here again

I had the spicy pork stir fry or called bulgogi. The quantity was plenty for 1 person and priced reasonably at 15AUD. Service was quick and efficient. The flavor of the food was off. I have had better bulgogi. It was very oily as well.

We got item 121 - the marinated meats (Beef, Chicken & Pork) and it comes with 5 sides. We ordered the rice bowls on top.

Loved this place! KBBQ is always so much fun. We were a little unsure what to do (I've never been to KBBQ with someone who isn't Korean) but staff were super helpful and were able to give us great recommendations. It can get super busy and we had to wait for a table for about 10 minutes at 7:30pm on a Monday night. Everything was delicious, pricing was great especially for the amount of food we ate. (Single serve rice bowls were only $2????!!!!) They have a range of different sized tables and also tables without the hot plate for regular menu items.

Updated review: sadly I have reduce my rating due to recent experience. Besides cold noodles and their side dishes, all meals do not seem to impress me. I ordered grilled fish recently and it tasted blank. I have not tried their BBQ so no comment.

Ended up here one night after a bar crawl and we were quietly impressed. The prices are not extorionary and food was really good. We ordered about four dishes and along with that we got 5 mini dishes of pickels, creamy pasta and potatoe - this was to enhance and accompany the mains that we ordered and to share a bit of Korean tradition and it worked like a charm. The service was polite and Korean beer had an interesting flavour - Hite - at least I've tried it now. The beef dish had to be the stand out, there were many hidden flavours, seaseme and others, really nicely marinated. I would reccommend this Korean BBQ restaurant to any body, there was the opportunity to cook your own BBQ but we decided against that

While you progress to your table you'll pass by a showcase of varied meats a lot of which is Wagyu! The displays were clean and well organized surely to amp up your appetite. In a glass room you'll notice one of the chefs operating a meat slicer as the meat is cut fresh upon ordering. As I'm sure some of you Korean BBQ fanatics have experienced some restaurants have pre portioned frozen meats. Don't skimp out on this restaurant, the food quality is high so make the most of it! While honeymooning in Sydney my wife and I were on the hunt for "Yangnyeom Gejang". Neither my wife nor I are Korean but "Yangnyeom Gejang" is Spicy Marinated Raw Crab. If you've never tried it and are open minded seriously give it a try as its not readily available. The crab dish was extremely well portioned and makes for a great side dish/appetizer. The banchan was superb and you'll be offered a variety of side dishes to accompany your meal. Aside from the raw crab we ordered Wagyu Beef Tongue, Galbi, and Pork belly! All of which satisfied us and we were well satiated! Whether you're just visiting or a local resident I HIGHLY recommend Jang Ta Bal for your next Korean BBQ venture!

It's a name that strikes fear into the heart of the enemy as you imagine Dukbaegi and the 46 other ronin charging furiously into battle screaming a chilling war cry... but... this is neither feudal Japan nor a blockbuster movie starring that bloke from Bill 'n' Ted's. It is, however, a relatively new and very good Korean BBQ restaurant. I had to ask fellow yelpers where I ate because this place needs a branding lesson (as in molten metal on cowhide). The menu doesn't have the name on it, instead you get a double dose of discombobulation as Korean characters co-mingle with the English words "Korean table", which just confuses the bejeezus outta me. In fact you'd be so hard pressed to find this place that I doubt anyone will ever see this review because they won't be looking for Dukbaegi. Hopefully my search engine prowess doesn't fail me now, and by entering the keyword *Makanai* which is the restaurant next door, we should see this result rise like cream to the top. So how was the food? It was delish, fresh and hot (temperature not spicy). The positives were the serving size and the sides - which consisted of little potato fritters, mini-mash, and miso soup. The downside was that it took a long time for food to come out despite the place being relatively empty. I had the BBQ Chilli Pork Hotpot and it was super tasty. The soup was spicy and very flavoursome. My only complaint would be the chopsticks. Why do Koreans insist on using metal flat chopsticks? It makes it very difficult to use, especially with noodles.
