On the downside, almost nothing is scratch made, so you end up with that gas station / greasy spoon vibe here. Lots of pre-packaged, heat it up kind of food. It's not horrible, it's just not particularly fresh or flavorful either. In the end, pricing is fair for what you're getting. If you go, just make sure and set your expectations appropriately - this is not a gourmet dining establishment, nor is it priced as such.

I liked the restaurant, though I'm not terribly fond of this kind of Mexican food (the refried beans, traditional orange rice, lots of sauce with cheese, and shredded lettuce are the stock in trade of these kinds of places). The decor was homey and fun and right out of the 1950s. This also seems to be a much-loved restaurant in Brewster, drawing people from nearby towns like Pateros.

Easily the best Mexican food I have had in years and only about 12 bucks!?!? Nice and spicy with just the right amount of heat. Why would anyone eat what is passed off as food at some fast food burger chain when such amazing and healthy cuisine available at a better price?
