The food is good, the service average. The atmosphere is good. The thing that bothered me is the person/man from the kitchen that served my meal and he was out on the floor asking patrons how there meal was. His atttire was not good and didn't help the appetite. His tee shirt was dirty/greasy from either cooking or doing dishes. Sweat on his face with a head band catching the sweat from his head. I know he means well but needs help in that area. If he is the manager/owner he needs to dress appropriately.

Decided to stop in and try this place for some lunch on our way down to the fair. Being someone who hates mornings and loves breakfast foods, seeing that they serve breakfast all day already had me sold on the place. Very spacious dining room and nice and quiet, no having to shout across the table to be heard by your group! The staff was very casual, friendly, and attentive, and I did notice how much effort they were putting into keeping the place clean and sanitizing tables and chairs between patrons. The menu is pretty expansive! I myself had a difficult time deciding between some of my favorites including eggs Benedict, country Benedict, biscuits and gravy, waffles, omelettes, BLT, club sandwich, and chili dog - all great options! Not much of a burger person here but they have some creative options for burger toppings that I haven't seen elsewhere that I am definitely interested in trying out during future visits to this place! Our food was great, all tasted like it was made with good quality ingredients, perfect portion sizes, and very reasonable pricing. We are excited to have this place and can't wait to return and try more of the menu options.

First time here since management and name change. Relaxed atmosphere (aka don't be in a hurry), friendly staff, big food portions (had to take food home). Had lunch here but would like to come back to try breakfast (had a full breakfast menu with lots of omelette variations).

The server was nice and the food was good. The restaurant needs a good, deep cleaning and change out of table cloths.

We had an amazing meal here! It's a fun place with a cool…read moreinterior filled with old fashioned nik-knacks placed on the walls, ceiling shelves- the kids had a blast playing I Spy. We came for an early early dinner (kids!) so we could walk in and there were open tables but by the time we left, the place was full! As the name of the restaurant says it's a bakery as well. They showcase the different breads in their bread bar. More about that later. Let me warn you... the portions are large! I got the spinach lasagna ($23.50) which came with a salad and the bread bar. When I got the salad I was shocked to see a huge, almost entree sized salad. The lasagna had ricotta, spinach layers smothered in Alfredo sauce. It was delish but I think they can go a lot less on the sauce. It was buttery, almost too buttery as well. But it was dang good! So that bread bar... if you love bread like I do, you'll be in carb heaven. They feature different kinds of bread baked that day- there was the usual French bread but they had flavors like rosemary, garlic, black pepper and the most unusual - curry cranberry. Don't be afraid to try the different flavors. The cranberry curry ended up being my favorite. Behind the bar is where you can find the different kinds of butter and olive oil. If you want balsamic vinegar, you'll need to ask your server. Sadly I gorged on the bread and couldn't eat my meal. My daughter ordered the HALF order of Seafood Louie ($20.80). When it came to the table, we burst out laughing because the thing was full entree sized where we come from. It was chock full of fried calamari, huge grilled prawns, little bay shrimp and an egg. She had a hard time finding a starting place to take the first bite without it spilling over. She really like the thousand island dressing too. My suggestion is to get it on the side to add as you work your way down. Mussels & Clams ($15.50) was also a hit- big and plump and the broth went perfectly with bread. The kids buttered noodles ($5.75) were good but it was kind of swimming in butter. They could've used half the amount. But the noodles were nice and al dente. Service was great and very accommodating- a big shout out to Jesus! FYI, a tip of 18% is automatically added to the bill with option to add. If we're ever back in Omak, we're definitely returning! Actually we did come back the next morning to buy the bread but unfortunately we were there before they opened.

Not a bad place to enjoy sandwiches for lunch. Good service…read moreA bit pricey but fair selection of different sandwiches

Jupiter is one of the best spots in Winthrop to dine at, if not, the best. Despite Yelp saying…read morethat this location is temporarily closed, we decided to still walk by and see if it was open and it indeed was. What a win for us, too, because the food was fantastic and exactly what we needed. We visited Jupiter for dinner on our first night in town and after a day of sunshine and hiking, we were hungry. At Jupiter, the menu isn't large, but they have a good range of items to choose from, in addition to local beers and wines. We were pleased that they had a large outdoor patio area where it's dog friendly, which is where we sat with our dog. You order and pay first inside at the counter, snag a number and a staff member delivers your food to the table. My partner and I both ordered different protein bowls and a salad and had a hard kombucha. My protein bowl was delicious with the steelhead as my protein of choice with rice, beans, jalapenos, greens, pickled red onions, avocado and a cilantro dressing. It was very filling, nourishing and delicious! The salad was also very good, with fresh greens in a light dressing. Everything was healthy and wholesome and left us satisfied. I highly recommend visiting Jupiter if you're in the Winthrop area for a meal. They have fresh, whole foods that are packed with protein and everything you need after a day of hiking. Plus, the patio for dogs cannot be beat as we learned that not everywhere in Winthrop has patio seating. Something to be mindful of if you're traveling with your best friend. I would definitely eat here again when back in the area.

The originally-shaped fresh-potato French fries were superior, as was the garlic sauce for them. I gobbled them up with gusto. Without being able to eat spice, I asked the counter clerk what she would advise. A salad with their special chicken was fine for me. I will say that I am not in favor in general of pulled pork or similarly cooked meats, because the flavor is not as full as other preparations, so that was my one disappointment. The salad was spectacular with its fresh, tender lettuce and other veggies from the garden. The coffee cake dessert was marvelous. They do not have much space inside, but the huge deck area had spread-out tables. Minor problems for us old folks are climbing the stairs up to the cafe and parking close to those stairs.

Knotty Pine sounded like a cool, place to try and they brought the goods! The interior is not classy or "upscale," but it is clean, comfortable and welcoming. It's a seat-yourself kind of place, so it was a moment before we were handed menus and asked for drink orders. Then it was a rather lengthy wait before our orders were taken. However, it didn't take that long for the food to arrive and, I will say this, it was definitely worth the wait. I ordered the Crispy Dill Chicken Sandwich with tater tots. It arrived piping hot and oh-so-good. The fried chicken sandwich was indeed crispy, VERY flavorful with three crisp pickle slices in there. The chicken itself tasted like it was brined in pickle juice as well. If you like pickles, you'll love this sandwich. It was excellent! The tater tots .... well, how can you screw that up?? They were hot, tasty and plentiful. Now, while initially a little slow, the service is friendly and attentive. My iced tea was refilled without even getting halfway down. Prices were reasonable. We look forward to stopping again when we pass through Republic (and skip the local hustle).
