Clean and welcoming bakery. We purchased a chocolate crinkle, 3 sweet cinnamon rolls (that are massive!!) and a bunch of lemon cookies. The Lisa Lemon cookies are sold to support a nursing scholarship in memory of a young lady taken too soon. We were pleased to purchase a number to support this nice cause.

Not only did she come through for us in our time of need, she also made it a point to stay after her business closed so I could pick them up. Prices were reasonable and the cookies were great. It was almost totally raw...and not just the wet crust under the egg but the edges too. There is no way they blind baked it at all. I was able to peel the entire crust off the egg with it breaking. There was no crumble at all. I could squeeze the edge and flatten it without it crumbling. I hate to be this critical but it was very bad. Everything else looked so good and because the egg part and the cookie were good I will definitely try again.

But the bakery was sold again and now I will never- ever use it again and it's really sad. The new owner made a terrible mistake on an important order and wouldn't fix it. And worse, she didn't seem to care. Even though I had all the emails between us and had been specific, she was basically like, oh well... What a shame that a bakery that had built such a wonderful reputation over the past (almost) 30 years has been now reduced to nothingness. A giant, pointing hand. (HOW could you miss it?) Prices are clearly displayed. It ain't cheap - but rich, homemade, and delicious never is. It's not Aldi or Trader Joe's, okay? Spare me the sticker shock. It's self serve. Seriously! Self serve! The instructions are clear - put on a plastic glove (supplied) and a bag (supplied) and make your selections. The cookies are all fresh baked and are homemade. Literally. They're baked in the owners' home kitchen just through that door over there. You can see the kitchen through the glass. After you've made your selections, drop your cash payment in the little tin box. Need change? Help yourself. A tip o' my hat to the owner's trust in us to do the right thing.
