Vast flavors on the ice cream menu
Dona W.

Little bit of joy lingers with you at Happy Days Drive Inn, making you feel like life is good and ice cream sure makes it better. With an astounding amount of Perry's ice cream flavors, this is the place to stop for brief drive in. I tried Perry's Cuse 44 flavor, a carmel with salt and crushed chocolate cookie crumb and to-love little orange covered round pretzels - this ice cream surprised me as the best. I'm not necessarily an SU fan but definitely a huge fan of this ice cream flavor now. Upstate NY has these drive ins snd mostly I drive by but so glad we stopped. Charmed by looking over the farmer's field out back relaxing on the picnic tables. When I asked try a flavor, the walk window host gave me a tasting most generous. If you are on your way to Chimney Bluffs at Lake Ontario and looking for ice cream, stop by for a truly happy ice cream moment. I was sure glad I did. Summer is better with places like Happy Days.

The food was mediocre at best. But they were very friendly people. The kids liked the shakes.

Fun place to stop and get a burger and ice cream. I loved the seasonal pumpkin ice cream and sweet potato fries!

My wife and I recently moved to the Village and the Busted Yolk is a 30 second walk for us, so one weekend we headed over to grab some breakfast. It's a small little place, but clean and nicely decorated, and there were a good amount of people inside, but there were some open tables and we were sat relatively quickly. We were given our menus and looked 'em over. Typical stuff you'd see on diner menus. One of the cool things about the Busted Yolk though is they bake their own loaves of bread. I'm not a huge fan of eggs, so I went with ordering a bunch of sides of stuff to make my own plate, so I went with an order of bacon, sausage links, home fries and toast with their homemade Italian bread. The wife got The Big Four Breakfast along with a pancake. Food was brought quickly and everything was tasty. They had very good home fries with onions, bacon was nice and crispy, and their toast with their homemade bread was very good. Thick slices too. The wife also enjoyed hers. Service was good and all the employees were very friendly. Prices were pretty cheap and more than fair. The Busted Yolk does simple diner food, but they do it well and they do it friendly, so we'll definitely be back at some point.

There was live music in the back room, so we opted for a booth in the front room so we could have quiet dinner conversation. Alisha was great. She explained the menu, the Mac & cheese, and the dairy bar in the adjacent bldg. We ordered dinner and it was out quickly. Hubby had the entree of brisket & pulled pork with a side of veggies and the Mac & cheese. The Mac & Cheese is so, so good. We ordered some to take home for my son! My balsamic chicken entree was delicious - I loved the side of carrots & zucchini- very fresh & unique! Great dinner, no hesitation to come back here. And, we did have to wander over to the dairy bar and check out the ice cream too! On the way, we noticed lots of outdoor seating and maybe a little stage too. There is live music regularly! Hubby got a shake & I had a dish of hard ice cream. It hit the spot! Thanks so much!

The dining room was spacious and clean and bright as were the servers and the bartenders who expertly served us. They have a happy hour from 5 to 7 that varies each day so on this Thursday was half price on selected appetizers as well as $2.50 domestic select drafts. We got there about 10 after five and the bar quickly filled up, which seemed to be regulars, which was a good sign. We decided to linger a little bit over our first drinks and ordered deep fried cheese curds with a delicious margarita type tomato sauce. I had never had fried cheese curds and they were plentiful and came out steaming hot topped with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, unfortunately I did not take a picture as we were hungry and dove right in. When it was time for our second drink, I pondered over their wine list, but decided that with my Reuben and mac & cheese dinner a cold draft would suffice. My husband ordered the Philly cheesecake sandwich and onion rings. The mac & cheese and the onion rings were up charges of $2.50 and they were worth it. The cheesesteak sandwich was not shaved beef, but wonderfully thick pieces of beef on a perfectly toasted bun type with cheese and peppers. The onion rings were generous as well as crisp and not overly breaded. My Reuben was perfectly toasted on a delicious rye bread with just the right amount of sauce to not make it soggy. The star was their mac & cheese served in a steaming hot crock! It was creamy, not too cheesy, but cheesy enough to know that you were digging into a delicious bite of mac & cheese.. well done kitchen! All in all the meal was so large we could only eat half of it and brought it home for another day. We would certainly return as we enjoyed every bit of our evening. The patio looked invited and will be opening soon. They also have live entertainment to enjoy.

Probably because I'm not a snowmobiler, and this place had more sleds than cars parked. Had the special Philly Cheesesteak in a bread bowl and wasn't disappointed. If you're a snowmobiler or not looking for some comfort food in a relaxed atmosphere stop by "The Reef"!
