Unless you are already drunk and looking to sober up, dont bother... placed a to-go order for a couple burgers and some fried food and was told they would let me know when it was done. 40 min later, my wife calls asking what is taking so long and I notice several bags ready to go... after about 10 min on the phone, I look at the tag and notice it was my food (now cold) while the cachier is preoccupied with counting her tips I decided if they can't be bothered to let me know it is done, I dont need to spend money there and left... hope the kitchen crew enjoys the burgers.... read more

If nothing else I can be known for being brutally honest with my reviews.. we stayed at a bed and breakfast down the road on a Sunday night, and by the time we decided we wanted to go eat there wasn't really much else open except for this place so we gave it a shot. My first impression when I pulled up to the place wasn't that great because honestly it wasn't much to look at plus there were people tailgating in the parking lot. The kind of thing you'd see at a ball game parking lot maybe on the side of the road waiting for the fireworks display. I did ask the waitress about it because honestly who wouldn't?.... And she said that it's a really small town it is not really much else to do. Okay then no problem I'm thinking The inside looks like a basic diner, the menu matches pretty well, and at least for what we ordered the food was pleasantly surprising. I actually had looked at other Yelp reviews before coming here and somebody had mentioned the cheesesteak which is one of my wife's favorites, so we both ordered a half cheesesteak sandwich and let me tell you a half was plenty. This was not a small sandwich and they were able to make hers without peppers which was a bonus because a lot of places have the onions and peppers already premixed in a big pile on the grill and it kind of upsets them to have to pick all the peppers out, but no this place had no problem so my my thought was they're probably grilling them up to order which is kind of cool. So anyway yeah we both had dinner and a large pile of french fries next to our sandwiches well being very outrageous at all. The waitress was friendly and came back a couple times to see how we were doing even though they were rather busy in there, I'm not sure because it's that good or because it's the only place open but either way good for them. read more

I drive a truck and I drove approximately 15 miles to stay here. I ask a waitress this morning for more ice and she asked, "you don't have enough ice?" Then I'm in for lunch hoping for a different person. Well, this one is worse. She was crabby when she asked if I wanted something to drink, she "throws" the jelly container on the shelf by the counter where I was sitting and kicks the jelly aside on the floor and never picks it up. I finally had to say, "not having a good day?" She has an attitude just being here. Not judging but I feel like she was even pissed at the calculator. I wish I stayed in Oswego! read more

I have come here for years. Always been great. Recently they hired a new waitress, Sarah, and she will not come around with coffee, boxes, etc. We waited 30 minutes to get our coffee refilled and I ended up having to grab a pot and refill it for ourselves. She finally came around with coffee (an hour later) refilled the cups of people next to us (while on a phone call) and then didn't fill ours and left outside still on her phone. She was busy playing scratch off tickets and talking to the other waitress and some guy who would leave outside with her. She got to a point she was going outside every ten minutes doing god knows what. Horrible service and very disappointed. Two waitresses on and we couldn't get one cup of coffee refilled in an hour, at least the other waitress was getting ready to go home and had a reason to not be as attentive. Service has really gone downhill, it's a shame. I really hope Robin sees this review as she needs to really get on these girls about giving better service. The cook waited on us more than the waitresses did! Sad to say, but as long as Sarah is on I will not be ordering cause I know I will not be waited on anyway. read more

The 104 store is a lifeline in the middle of nowhere. It's a country store that sells snack, limited grocery and has gas. But best of all, they are a 24 restaurant. I have to say that this place is definitely a truckstop. It's been poorly maintained and needs updates. I got the meatloaf dinner and it wasn't all that good. The mash potatoes were still chunky and the meatloaf was very dry. So if u stop make sure to bring food. read more

Ahhhh the 104 Store. While this is a truck stop, it's not really the place where most people just end up. This is essentially the only place to eat in the area. The patrons are all locals, everyone in here will know almost everyone in here, most of the time. This can be both good and bad. My husband grew up in Sterling, and went to Red Creek schools. He is one of those people that knows everyone in here. The food is good, great portion sizes and incredibly low prices. They offer take out ordering. Obviously as it's a truck stop they have gas pumps on the side. They also have a little store, attached to the restaurant portion. I've had many meals here with my husband and his family. It holds a special place in the heart of everyone who lives out there or grew up there. read more

Good place with friendly folks, I used to frequent it when I was living in Martville a few summers back. The patrons are friendly and quick to strike up conversation, the employees are the same and very helpful. The food was pretty good, not like gourmet fare, but a good place to get some fried pork chops, mashed potatoes and some nice fresh veg. or a tasty burger from the flat top. I love this place. I always stop there when I'm out that way. Fill the car with gasoline, get a penny saver and a great meal. I love to go on Wednesday when the spaghetti is on special. They go you a huge serving reasonably priced and delicious. Have never had a bad meal in there and the service is great . Haven't been there since the COVID-19 started. The food here has given me a stomachache on multiple occasions. I keep hoping it will be better the next time because of the limited options in the area. Last time I went, the waitress served me Boston cream pie with multiple mold spots on it and when I brought it up to show her, acted like I had offended her. This place beats a 7-11 anytime. There is plenty of parking. The folks that work there are always nice and helpful. They serve one of the best bacon, swiss and mushroom burgers ever, price is good too. If your East bound on 104 in the Wolcott area and want a burger then drive the extra few miles to Red creek and get a 104-Store burger. You won't be disappointed and you can fill up with gas too.. This is a truck stop but all in all a great place with good service....thumbs-up.
