This was what I got ... not impressed.

Well. Where to start... lots of things on the menu... It's freezing cold in here . No Hot Chocolate No Hot Syrup -apparently so the waitress says they got sued for serving hot something to a man who apparently got a huge settlement. I'm not buying this reason for not serving basic breakfast items .. come on man!!! How's this place staying in business? Be a long time before I return to the Waffle House.

Great late night after the bar stop. The vibes are questionable but always a good time.

This place can be hit or miss with food and service. I've been there a couple times and the order was wrong simply because she wasn't paying attention and I never could get her to fix it but they sure charged me for triple hasbrowns while only giving half an order. Other times, the food overflows the pate and it's zippy fast and friendly service. The cleanliness is lacking, but some days are better than others. The biscuits and gravy are decent but stay away from the chili! I think I saw it moving on its own in the cup and it possibly even asked me to put it out of its misery. It went down the garbage disposal to the land of misfit foods. The burgers.. well, sometimes they're good and other times, not so much. The bacon is cooked perfectly but it has always had a strange taste to me. My son loves their waffles but I'm not a fan of chewy waffles. The sunnyside up eggs and hashbrowns are my favorite. They are always happy to get in my belly.

I don't recommend this place, they only take cash and no bills larger than $50. They could at least have an atm.

The food was good but it was very busy. The restaurant is pretty small. Cleanliness was mediocre.

Onion dip was good. I had a chicken meal, one had a hamburger, one chicken Mac n cheese. All ok but nothing to write home about. So now service, not to good. We had to try to get refills. We were empty for quite awhile. I think the Bread Pudding was definitely the winner. Warm with plenty of sauce. That's the reason We may try them again.

Our server was attentive and responded to our requests promptly. I found the Tuesday burger special tempting, but I opted for the salmon wedge salad. This was an uneven dish. On the positive side, the parmesan vinaigrette dressing was delicious! It went well with the crisp lettuce, red onion bits, and grilled salmon. On the negative side, my salmon was undercooked and there was less lettuce than in the picture of this salad in the menu. I asked our server to fix the salmon. She said that she would show it to her manager and make it right. My salmon returned to the table with darker grill marks and cooked well done. I was satisfied with this solution. I didn't pay for the bill, so I don't know if we were also comped for this problem. I didn't bring up the lack of lettuce since the portion I received was enough for me on the day that I visited. This visit confirmed for me that Interurban sits on par with Charleston's in the OKC metro restaurant space. They offer a menu of American classics prepared with care and enough variety that most people can find something to eat from this menu. It's not edgy or innovative, but it's not trying to be those things.

The mac & cheese had a very strange flavor. The hot dog was good but they served it to us in a bowl, that was really awkward to eat. All the burgers were served with fresh ingredients, but overcooked the meat & we didn't like the Jalapeño buns. I didn't really like any of the buns unfortunately. We loved the tiny cut fries. The chili cheese fries were the BOMB. Coffee is A-OK :) Highly Recommend the Chili cheese fries :)'

Patty 1/3 lb, overcooked and gray but with seasoned, beefy flavor and fresh vegetables. They're a good size, around $10 with tax, but side is extra. They do a lot of up-charges here with no notice from the server, which is a pet peeve of mine. Please don't nickel and dime your customers..Or if you must, at least be up front about it. As for the other dishes I tried, all were misses. Their Stray Dog, a simply made chili cheese coney, left a lot to be desired. Though their tangy tomato-based chili was pretty good. Fries were fresh cut but tasted too strong of oil. Onion rings were kinda dry and tasteless, with zero crunch. The ranch was thin and dripped everywhere. Even the Dr Pepper was watered down. Oh well, at least the folks were friendly.

I guess I beat the crowd since it wasn't terribly busy , but there were several tables with families. When I left though , the parking lot and the restaurant was full then. Good timing for me. My waitress was Olivia and she was very attentive and informative since I told her it was my first time. She answered questions and brought me a refill before I had to ask for one and gave me a sweet tea to go when I paid the bill. Now for the food. I had the Chicken Fried Steak on top of Texas Toast , Mashed Potatoes , White Gravy on both , Green Beans , Sweet Tea , and the Complimentary Croissant with Butter. The Chicken Fried Steak came out perfect , not too thick not too thin , good breading , hot , and the gravy was pretty good. It was on a piece of Texas Toast which I'm not used too , but it was fine. Mashed Potatoes were thick , not too creamy , and good. The gravy went well with both and I did add some pepper since I like mine more peppery . Green Beans , well they threw me off. I was trying to find out what the strange flavor was in them and I had to ask Olivia. She told me it was Sugar , what ? I knew I was tasting sweet and thought it was Honey which would also be kind of weird in Green Beans. I saw little pieces of Onions and she told me they use Bacon and Sugar and I think Butter. When I make Green Beans I use Garlic Salt and Butter and sometimes Bacon , but not Sugar. Complimentary Croissant was just okay , but I would've preferred a Yeast Roll with Cinnamon Butter. Sweet Tea was just right also. I'm originally from South Carolina and sometimes back home it's really sweet , but as I've gotten older I like it a little toned down , but not under sweet. I talked to Olivia about the Baby Back Ribs and will be back to give those a try and maybe bring my Son and his Wife with me. The restaurant was clean and organized and the staff was friendly. I also got a Veteran Discount which I appreciate. I would recommend to anyone if they've never tried a Cheddar's.
