Hard working WH staff!

This is the BEST WAFFLE HOUSE IN GEORGIA! This place should be the training ground for all WH New Hires! Food was made to perfection, hot and fast! Restaurant is clean and staff is FOCUSED!! I highly recommend this place!

Bugs on our table.

So-so service. Food was good. Bugs were on our table, but at least we didn't find any in the food!

We loved our waitress!

Thank you Fancy Girl Farms! My sister was bragging about this place a month ago when we were…read moreplotting this little family roadtrip to visit my niece in Valdosta. Alanta (my niece) goes to school there and we were so excited to shop, sip, explore and eat at Fancy Girl Farms! John and I actually went 2 days in a row- Saturday our plans had shifted to later in the morning- so I jumped up and said lets go check out the farm instead of sitting around waiting for the college girl. Coffee, farm stand, nursery & garden tour was what awaited us Saturday. I grabbed a coffee from their sweet little cafe- it was scrumptious. The stroll through the gardens was blissful- it had rained and was going to rain more, so next to no one was out in the gardens- peace and quiet, yes please! The farm stand/ nursery was loaded with goods and I was compiling a shopping list! We returned Sunday for lunch and there was a crazy line quick when they opened- great for business! All the big families were there early to make sure they got seats. We had a party of 6 and were one of the first tables sat. Our server was fabulous, she had our drinks out fast & bread for the table. We all ordered the fried chicken and all were smart enough to split plates (since we were all driving hours home that same day). Sides around the table- mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, creamed corn with bacon, collard greens, black eyed peas, mac-n-cheese, fries & I'm probably missing something. We all passed food around to try too- so those sides, I tried most of them! Chicken- we got the mixed chicken white and dark meat and it was juicy, salty, crunchy skinned goodness. Top 3 for sure (truly I think I've only had one better). Mashed potatoes- too dense, very flavorful- but needs milk, sour cream, something to help loosen it Sweet potato casserole- guess what, also too dense and also wildly flavorful! The textures did not match the flavor punch Black eyed peas- delicious, really the best I've had Collard Greens- the table was bragging about how good it was Mac-n-cheese- very creamy, just the way I like it Fries- cooked perfectly Creamed Corn with bacon- very good and I loved that you can tell it's freshly made, the color! Creamy white, not artificial yellow I completely forgot about dessert- even after hearing my sister go on and on about weekly cobblers! That and the 15 layer chocolate cake- fifteen! Alright, I'll just need to go back for dessert!

Very adorable southern style restaurant. I had the Chicken Pot Pie and Dave had the Chicken Wrap…read moreand Macaroni and Cheese. Very fast service and extra friendly staff. Unfortunately we didn't have time to enjoy the beautiful gardens, gift shop and fruit shop. We recommend it highly!

Lion of Judah Ethiopian Restaurant is truly a gem in this small town. The food is absolutely…read moreincredible: rich, flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried was delicious, and it's easily some of the best Ethiopian food I've had. That said, be prepared to take your time. The ordering and food preparation process is very slow, and during our visit the "servers" were literal children. We ended up spending close to two hours there, with most of that time waiting for the food to come out. If you're in a rush, this probably isn't the spot. But if you're willing to slow down and enjoy a relaxed, unhurried meal, the quality of the food makes the wait worthwhile. I'd absolutely come back, just with patience and no tight schedule.

Absolutely incredible from start to finish. I ordered the watermelon fries, the Little Taste with…read morebeef tibs, and selected the chef's choice for my six sides -- which included a fresh salad, chickpeas, yellow lentils, yellow rice, greens, and a veggie medley. I also added the cheesecake sambusa. Everything was outstanding. The watermelon fries were such a refreshing start. The beef tibs were deeply flavorful and tender. Each of the sides had such great flavor profiles! I first tried Ethiopian food about 12 years ago at a place in Portland, Oregon, and I've been wanting it again ever since. When I saw this restaurant open here in Valdosta, I was genuinely excited to finally have it again -- and now I wish I had gone sooner because I've clearly been missing out. Even as a pickup order, the service stood out the staff was personable and inviting. Everything was carefully packed, warm, and clearly made with care. And the cheesecake sambusa? Unreal, the perfect way to finish the meal. I can't wait to go back and make this a regular spot for my family and me.

The service was GREAT! The food very well prepared and was hot! Decorations and ambiance were…read moregood...BUT...not as interesting as when antiques were hanging from the ceiling!!!!

First.... In our travels, we always enjoy stopping at Cracker Barrel restaurants, sadly, I have to…read moresay....... NOT THIS TIME. NOT THIS LOCATION. Passing through Valdosta, staying 1 night at a local Hotel. Looking forward to their Chicken dinner ALL day. The Old Time decor was still hanging around with nostalgia pieces that make you smile. And, it was nIce that this location serves alcohol, of beer & wine. But, My fault for not reading the reviews prior to stopping. Shame on me. I am going to split the "stars". SECOND..... Our Server was Tyasija H. Ty, for short.... She was marvelous!! She gets a 5* ++. !!! Lots of personality and smiles. She has only worked there a month, but we noticed she handled her multiple tables very well. Very attentive but not overly pesty. THIRD....... Our complaint is with the Chef & kitchen staff. They get "0" *...... in our experience. My husband order the Southern Fried Chicken dinner, with 2 sides ~ Mac & cheese & turnip greens. Chicken was over floured when fried but it was tender & juicy..... just not hot. In life, cool chicken is ok to enjoy. BUT..... Mac & cheese was cool and the turnip greens were flat cold, as if they just came out of the refrigerator. SO SAD. And, the complementary biscuits were flat, pretty gummy and not browned. Other stores have them soft with some height. I ordered the NY Steak, medium rare, with 2 sides..... lightly steamed broccoli & a baked potato. They were out of broccoli that night so I replaced them with sweet carrots, which was ok with me. BUT..... WOW, my food was also cool to cold. Steak was well seasoned but it was slightly warm. My potato was very cool that even the butter didn't melt AND, carrots were so overcooked, they were mushy. One should NOT be able to smash carrots like a correctly cooked sweet potato!! It tells us the all of our dishes sat way too long in the window without a heater to keep them at proper temp. For a $50.00 meal.... We were expecting A LOT better. We did share our dissatisfaction with Ty..... she felt so bad and apologized, as a good employee should. We explained, no fault of hers..... we feel the Chef should find another job. Where is Managment. ?? Where is the Franchisee ?? Think about this..... would you be proud to serve this to your family ??? Probably not. Absolutely NOT !!! I would suggest you AVOID this Valdosta location all together.
