This is the cook. The waitress is a very short middle aged woman.

when we first arrived, the waitress and the cook both looked at us in disbelief that we were there then went back to what they were doing didn't greet us at all. We took a seat. Then the waitress came up to us. After two minutes took our drink order looked at my girlfriend up and down rudely for ordering orange juice then snarked and walked away. We then ordered our food and the cook said very loudly if anyone comes in after these two tell them we're closed because I'm done cooking then the server in the cook got into an argument very loudly in front of us mind you we were the only people in the restaurant and the waitress made a very provocative comment and used her body language in a dirty way. These two should not be left alone at this establishment quite honestly they should be fired. Neither of them are wearing a name tag so I cannot tell you their names.

What's so special about Waffle House? Well let me tell you. The price is relatively cheaper compared to other places. The servers were friendly. The menu is small but that's not a bad thing for someone like me, who couldn't decide when there are too many options. The food quality is okay, definitely not the best, but good enough for the price. My favorite is the waffle here. The waffles are thinner than other places', but they are just perfect for me. Overall I didn't expect much but I was happy with my dining time here.

It's just another typical Waffle House; at least in my experience. Friendly service, hot coffee and consistently decent breakfast grub. We had a bigger party this time while traveling and they were happy to accommodate us as best they could. Lisa was our server; she provided excellent and friendly service. Our brunch consisted of everything from bacon & eggs to the cheesesteak melt; everything was hot and delicious. Our coffees were refilled promptly and my kids enjoyed their breakfast. If the kids aren't happy, nobody's happy!!! Thanks for another good pitstop, Waffle House! We'll be back next time we travel.

Celleste, the innkeeper and restaurateur, was exceptionally friendly and made the arrival process seamless. We chose to pay for early check-in, which was well worth it, especially because I had scheduled a massage. The massage therapist came directly to our room, making the experience convenient, relaxing, and a wonderful way to begin our stay. When we entered the room, we were greeted with a bottle of prosecco and chocolate-covered strawberries, which was a lovely touch and set a celebratory tone for the weekend. The room itself was charming, clean, and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed and an inviting atmosphere that made it easy to settle in and unwind. Before dinner, we enjoyed cocktails at the bar, which was an excellent start to the evening. The restaurant offers an impressive wine list along with a wide selection of spirits, making it easy to find or request nearly any cocktail. We spent some time reviewing the wine list and initially selected a red, but once seated for dinner, we appreciated the guidance of their wine expert, who helped us choose a white wine that paired beautifully with the meal. For dinner, we selected the Four Course menu because we liked the flexibility of choosing our own individual courses, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The meal began with outstanding bread served with whipped butter, which was memorable on its own. Each course that followed was beautifully plated, served at the proper temperature, and paced perfectly. The attention to detail was evident throughout the meal, and the overall dining experience felt refined without being overly formal. The following morning, breakfast was another highlight. The frittata was excellent, and the croissant was flaky, buttery, and exactly what you would hope for at a French-inspired inn and restaurant. Service throughout our visit--from the bar to dinner and then breakfast--was consistently professional, attentive, and personable. Every member of the team contributed to a relaxed and memorable experience. Overall, L'Auberge Provencale Inn & Restaurant is a wonderful choice for a romantic weekend getaway. Between the comfortable accommodations, thoughtful amenities, excellent food, and genuinely warm service, it provided the kind of experience that feels both special and personal. We would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable escape.

It is very cute and charming inside and there were also live musicians when we went. We got the 4 course option and both loved the gnocchi. It was a great balance of the crunch from the salt and the softness of the gnocchi, For the next option, we got the seafood ragout and were delicious ! We loved the seared scallop and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Below it was a pasta that was close to cous cous. For the third course, I got the beef and it was so good ! It was very tender and melted in my mouth. It was a good portion for the price. It was 165 per person for the 4 course option. The servers were very friendly but sometimes we did have to ask for waters to be refilled. The only downside was the mocktail I got. I ordered a non alcoholic margarita, and it was a little too salty for me but everything else was delightful!

Of course it was messy to eat but I didn't mind eating it piecemeal. New Yorker on a toasted everything bagel - 5* my partner loved the sandwich. It was cooked through and warm, had a good distribution of pastrami, sauerkraut, and cheese. Wouldn't mind trying it with a cream cheese added in the future. Pepperoni Roll - 1.5* skip it, it was a big disappointment, especially compared to the bagels. The pepperoni were in long sticks and weren't warm, even after getting the roll toasted. Manisha and Prashsant, owners of Stone Manor Inn, were personally involved in making sure all went smoothly with our cocktail and dinner party, and it most certainly did! SMI is a lovely old country inn on 14 acres, I believe, with a number of different venues (indoors and out) for meetings, parties, and weddings. The rooms (7 in total) were eclectic, in a good way. All four of their largest rooms that we occupied were spacious, with king beds and spa tubs with separate showers. All were well maintained and clean upon check-in. We had no complaints. I'm not sure when we will return to the area, but when we do, we will not hesitate to return!

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

Walked in to the very small space and were told we needed to order online, so we got out our phones and scanned one of the many QR code signs posted on every surface anordered - two bagels, one with cream cheese and the other with butter. He confirmed he received the orders immediately- even before the payment had gone through. That seemed like a good sign. We waited and watched while he made salads and other orders for people who presumably ordered online before us, but didn't come in to pick up while we were there. Eventually he made our bagels, put them in cardboard baskets, covered them with aluminum foil (not sure why we needed that cardboard waste -- would have been happy with my bagel just wrapped in foil), covered them with paper towels, put them each in separate paper bags, and placed them on the counter while calling our names (even though we were the only people in the place and he had confirmed he knew who we were when he received the order). We took the bagels and walked across the street and got our coffees from the cute cat cafe with the friendly staff. Hit the road, and pulled out our bagels in the car. First bite was so bad that I tossed the rest of the bagel back in the bag... it was so crunchy it was more of a thick bagel chip, and shards of bagel stuck between my teeth like splinters. Certainly one-of-a-kind, I've never had another bagel like it. About 10 miles later I was hungry enough to get the bagel out and try again... this time I kneaded it through the aluminum foil a bit to bread it up first. It was still very crunchy and sharp, but there were some softer bits toward the middle. There wasn't much flavor, except where it was drenched in butter (and those bites tasted like butter, which isn't a bad taste I guess). TLDR, if you want bagels in Winchester WV skip this place and go to Sclafani's.
