This place started around 1952. The order was given from a touch tone phone at the table to the front counter. We thought tnat some of the younger customers would not know how to use a dial telephone. Drive through service is also available, as it has been since the 1950's. Ordered a burger basket (burger and fries) $8., a chicken tender basket (five chicken tenders with fries) $11.50, onion rings, chocolate malted milkshake, chocolate ice cream dish, We got the food in about fifteen minutes brought to our table. Very reasonable. The 2 oz burger that I received was worst of all the items that I had. It was tasteless and reminded me of a smalll burger at Burger King. 1.5 stars. do not recommend it. We hope that the recipe for the burger would be improved. The crinkle cut French fries were average 3 to 3.5 stars and not plentiful. Could have used more. The onion rings were one of the two great items that we had. They were very good in every way. 4 plus stars. My mallted milk shake was good and the price was reasonable. It was appropriate for a 1950's restaurant. 4 stars. The chicken tenders were large had good taste. 4 stars. Rolls came with the chicken tenders. They were soft and had good taste. 4 stars. The chocolate ice cream, along with the onion rings was the standout best item that we had. 5 stars for the chocolate ice cream. It was creamy with a deep chocolate flavor and the ingredients in it were quality ingredients. Loved it. We enjoyed the good music with the meal. Everyone who worked there was very nice to us, including the manager. We will love to dine there again and hope that it can be soon. Thank you for the nice 1950's style food.

I did have to add some salt and pepper to my eggs which I guess I can understand that maybe people don't want them pre salted in case they are on a restricted diet. Pricing was reasonable for the portion size. $35 for 2 people with my to go pastry before tip. The restaurant has a bit of an old timer feel. It's been in business since 1947 which is pretty cool. They also have signs about closed areas for groups and they accept buses. If I'm in the area again, I think I'll try an eclair. My cinnamon roll was super moist which I was honestly pleasantly surprised by since it was a to go pastry. They also have a fridge with glass door that showed other to go options like the chopped beef and cinnamon apples.

The potato came with butter and sour cream on the side. The potato was very good. Although we were full and not planning on dessert, the server came over with small cups of peppermint ice cream, calling it a "palate cleanser." It was very good and a nice touch. The manager came over to check on us, give us a little history on the building and offer her condolences. Which was above and beyond. We had the hot honey pizza, pretzels, wings and cold beers. FYI- it comes with several accoutrements which were tasty, but the mustard was really the most satisfying. My wife had the brisket, which I would call a must have. Fantastic Asian spices, fried rice ball and Kimchi. Just an explosion of flavors. I was glad she shared. (This is uncommon) I had the pork chop and it was really pretty. Unfortunately, it lacked flavor and I had to carve off the fat which made up about 1/3rd of the chop. The bone was the other third...so it turned out to be a thick but modest cut. That said, it was on a lovely bed of mash and some of the best blue and white carrots I ever had. We finished with the carrot cake. (All of the desserts are made onsite.) which we learned was gluten free. Honestly if it was marked GF I wouldn't have ordered it. Anyway, when it arrived I thought we received the wrong thing.
