Upon entering we were greeted by just about the whole staff. The food was great, the coffee was lukewarm but our waitress went and brewed a fresh pot for us. Upon checking out the cashier was all smiles. Will definitely be stopping here the next time we drive through. Highly recommend! read more

Cold eggs as soon as they were served. Coffee had no flavor, grits tasted horrible and the bacon was burned and broke into pieces when bitten. Service was friendly. Orange juice was juicy. The food and service here are usually really good. Once in a while we get stuck with a bad waitress that ALWAYS gets our food wrong. W were told that Waffle House wants people in, fed and out within 20min. Not today. We were there over an hour waiting on our waitress. She was VERY slow and got the order wrong. Again. I will move seats next time if she's my waitress. I'd rather wait longer for a better server. Overall I love the place but they really need more consistency with servers and cooks. Only "bad" thing is they bring your food out a little at a time. You never get your full meal. read more

The wife and I were on our way to Florida and stopped at this place in Rockingham NC on number one by the 74 bypass. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger hold the tomato, wife has a food allergy. When the server brought the food, we noticed the tomato was present on the plate. I sent back both plates. The server returns the plates, the cook, some little healthy light skin girl with a missing tooth (no lie) simply removed the tomato and sent back the exact same plate. I assume these people are not prepared in food safety and allergies or the occurrence would not have happened. I informed the server that you can not just simply take off the food when it has touched other food on the plate and even if it didn't would you take that risk? The plates went back again to be cooked fresh. The cook seemed to not like this or was having personal problems but to that I can't say. After some eye rolling and boisterous conversation to the server the plate was ready, however, I saw this woman hang her head over the top of our plates before shipping it off to the table. I'm unsure how food is prepared but one doesn't normally hang their head and hover over someone's food especially with purple or pink whatever color hair she was wearing was hanging. I can only assume we would receive either hair or spit. I can not say for sure if that is what she was doing but when someone hangs their head over so close to my food before sending it off it isn't being blessed. These days food preparers should not be that close to your plate where they can drool, breathe, spit or whatever transmitting not only covid but other respiratory diseases. The time we stopped was around the late evening. I would honestly stay clear of this place what my wife and I experienced was the most disgusting thing I have ever been privy to. There is a Hardee's across the street who are actually sympathetic to food allergies. Maybe someone will get real sick and that crew would have to pay for their egregious actions. So that night I bought 4 meals and got to only eat two. The management really should evaluate that crew as they will make someone sick. read more

Well, I enjoy eating there far as service have no problems cleanliness no probs, mostly eat there on weekends, most of the time very very busy, sometime little time waiting before seated at table, that's because they're packed with costumers, music people play what they pay for, I recommend ROCKINGHAM waffle house, thanks read more

This was our first time at a Waffle House. It was as expected. The server, Mercedes, was attentive and friendly. There was some drama with other guests that were asked to leave. That was interesting. I ordered the AllStar Special. The waffle came out to the table when I had three bites left of everything else. Not a big deal, but slightly annoying. My kids enjoyed the waffles. This particular crew of wait staff is so busy playing and cutting up with each other that they don't care that customers are waiting g to give orders. My wife and I enjoy an occasional meal at the Waffle House, especially when in the mood for a breakfast anytime of the day or night. The food there isn't top scale, but most always the same at all their venues. Good, tasty meals. Usually fast service. Most always friendly servers too. Worst Waffle House EVER! Wasn't even that busy and we waited 15 min for them to clear a dirty table to be seated. 10 min later the waitress comes back to get our order, doesn't even ask what drinks we wanted, then notices the table next to us finished eating but the guy never got his waffle and walks over with out saying a word to us to see if we're done ordering. My wife and I have stopped at this Waffle House locations on previous trips thru the area and we always found the food and service to be very good. We stopped in recently and we were very disappointed. The quality of the food and service has slipped big-time. Tables are not cleaned until new diners claim the table. The preparation of food is disorganized and slap-hazard. The most concerning thing though is the manager barking directions and orders to her poorly trained and obviously flustered staff. It is unpleasant to listen this going on... it must be terrible for the employees to have it directed at them. We will never go back. read more

Very crowded at 11am. I had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated for 1. Once I was seated it took about 15 min for the waitress to acknowledge me, and then I thought she would ask what I wanted to drink but no. So about 5 minutes later I asked her if I could have something to drink, she said yes and also took my order. I expected my drink ( not immediately) almost right away since I asked for it but the waitress went ahead and took other orders and then put in the orders and then stood there for about 10 minutes with another waitress trying to figure out tickets. Sadly I had to ask the manger for my drink and THEN had to wait for a straw. By the time I had gotten my straw my food was done. The food was the best part, cooked like how I asked and my order was right. This place needs to get organized and/or get new waitresses that can multitask. I still left a tip just because it was busy, but I would try to go before 9am if you want good service. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a Waffle House... The staff played with each other for 15 minutes while we sat at table and were ignored. 5 of them including the manager walked by our table and ignored us completely.finally waitress came to table said are u ready.. We ordered she brung my daughters plate handed it to her instead of setting it on table few minutes later the cook brought my plate and handed it to me.
