After scouting Rockingham for dinner options that night and breakfast the next morning, it was decided that Subway would be the answer to my dilemma of the day. The beauty of modern technology was that you can mobile order from your personal device and it'll be ready for you to pick up. With that said, I wanted my dinner that night in Rockingham to be freshly made. I made my decision about 1/2 way between Rockingham and Aberdeen and pulled out the Subway app to see if there are any locations that was currently open. I chose the one on Broadway Avenue in Rockingham. On this day, I ordered 2 footlong sandwiches and 6 cookies. One for dinner that night - with 3 cookies and one the following morning - the other 3 cookies. One was a tuna footlong and the other was a turkey ham footlong, if I am not mistaken. Once we arrived at this Subway location in Rockingham, I entered the store and proceeded to pick up my order. The entire exchange lasted maybe 5 minutes, since I had to thank the staff for making the order and packing it quickly as ordered. The staff there was friendly while I was there. The restaurant itself was empty, although there was someone there who also was ordering a sandwich or two, but nobody was there to dine in. Probably was after their lunch rush, as it was around 3:30pm when I came in. It was the healthy choice that I made that weekend, which seemed to pay some dividends going forward into the weekend I was in Rockingham, North Carolina. The overall experience here at this Subway restaurant was good and expected. You really don't get too much staff interaction when you mobile order, but it was nice and brief for sure. The restaurant itself was clean and quite pleasant. You really don't need to clean or straighten up much, if there's no activity at certain parts of the day. Price wise though, any footlong prices are at least $10, if not more. Cookies are at least $.89 or more depending on locations. Prices have gone up since 2020 and the Covid-19 inspired inflation. With that said, I love Subway for the mere fact that it is a healthy option for me. It helps me get the daily source of vegetables that I should need on a daily basis. It's also a quick and easy meal solution for anyone and everyone who needs it while on the go or just needs to have it. Both me at the time in North Carolina in September 2024. It's also easy on the eyes, when it comes to prices too. Whether it's a footlong or a 6 inch, you can get a reasonably priced sandwich or a meal deal here at Subway. For the most part though, the experience here at this Subway was uneventful and definitely worth coming to if you're in the area and can't really decide. I'm just a visitor here in North Carolina, but Subway is quite familiar to me so it was nice to have this familiar brand in the town of Rockingham. This particular Subway location is located at 300 E Broadway Street in Rockingham, North Carolina. They accept major credit cards, cash, and of course, mobile ordering thru the Subway app. Quite literally nifty when you're craving something and you're driving to the location, but don't want to kill time to watch them make your order. If you are like me and have a friend drive you, you are awesome! If not, you'd need a rental car or a car of your own to get here. Not sure about the probable public transportation options that Rockingham may or may not have. If nothing else, you can consider Uber & or Lyft at your disposal. As far as parking goes, there's a small but delightful parking area that surrounds the restaurant. Best bet would be to come during non peak hours to dine in. If not, mobile ordering is always a great way to get your Subway daily fix. And so, if you're in Rockingham, North Carolina or nearby, and looking for a healthy alternative or just a quick bite for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, consider this Subway location as your quick and painless location solution to great and healthy options. 5.0 stars for the overall experience due to having a Subway restaurant in the town I'm visiting. 4.0 stars for the friendly service and restaurant ambiance, and then 3.5 stars for the prices. Subway in Rockingham is disgusting, the employees are disgusting. They don't was their hands after smoking a cigarette or coming from outside. The lettuce is brown and the tomatoes are mushy. One employee there is always rude and puts too much meat and barely any vegetables. I keep getting tiny black specs in my drink from the ice and drink machine. I've been to this location a few times as I occasionally work in Rockingham. They don't get a lot of foot traffic. Also, you can not order ahead via the mobile app. Never had an issue with employees. Inside looks clean, I cannot vouch for the restrooms. Rockingham has issues with people loitering. One employee mentioned to me how she keeps the doors locked as someone tried to "wash up" in the bathroom before... The freshness/quality of ingredients needs improvement. I'm typically there at 9:30 am and the lettuce is already browning. It looks like the unused lettuce from the previous day; same with the other veggies. I have a strong feeling they keep putting out food (cookies, vegetables, chips) until they are gone even after the expiration date. This has me concerned, especially with the meat. I ordered a sandwich with chips today (Saturday, October 12th, 2024). The chips tasted off, so I looked at the expiration date. September 10th, 2024 was printed on the bag - expired a whole month ago, which confirms my suspicion above. I do not recommend visiting this location. read more

I don't go out to get sub sandwich very often. But we recently received a coupon for subway buy one foot long get a six inch free. So I told the wife let's check it out. The Rockingham Subway on business 74 by the pool store. I walked in Oder my sandwich and then was told O' we don't accept any coupons . So as I was a little taken back no sign telling anyone that they didn't participate with any company advertising promotions . So what should have been a $14 dollar sandwiches turned into a $21.00 . It's not that I don't have the money. But I would have order at the the Asian or Mexican restaurant if I was going to spend twenty one buck on lunch and gotten a real meal not sandwiches. I think the store manager should put a sign telling customers that they don't participate in promotional events . Any more Subway is hit or miss... But this Subway is exceptional. The food is genuinely fresh and delicious quality ( not pressed, processed).
