Two Egg Breakfast with Side of Bacon
    Lucie N.

FOOD Two Egg Breakfast with Side Meat - This dish comes with eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and choice of meat. My friend and I got bacon and split it. It was a great late-night munchie. The hashbrowns are crispy on the outside and softer on the inside. The eggs were cooked well and the bacon was nice and crispy. Great overall for a late night snack! VIBES I came here with a group of friends around midnight. It was definitely fun just for a night outing with savory food. The seating is super limited so we practically squeezed into two booths. Lowkey the later it is, the sketchier it gets with some shady looking people. SERVICE Service was alright. It was pretty busy. I will say that my friend found a hair in her food which ruined her experience, but for the rest of us, everyone else was pretty satisfied with their food. The person who took my order and the person at the register were both very sweet and welcoming.

I got the meal that had the waffles, bacon, eggs and hash browns with a water. I don't know if it was the cup or the water itself, but there was something in the water so I ended up not drinking throughout my meal which was disappointing. Our server seemed very irritated at the whole time and so she wasn't the nicest, but she was efficient. The ambience was decent, the place was clean. The food itself was very decent and the portion was great.

I ordered breakfast online for pickup. My order was a waffle, a chicken breast, and hashbrowns with onions. It was ready on time. Olu (I think was her name) handed me my phone when I got there and told me she'd added butter and syrup to my bag). She was very pleasant. I got home, buttered my waffle and started cutting it up. It seemed a little thought but I just figured it was because I got my food to go. I poured the syrup on, took a bite, and tasted that my waffle was burnt. I started turning over pieces of the waffle to see that yes, it was visbly burnt on the underside. I was upset but had to get in my car and go back there to fix it as it was inedible and with all of the extra fees they charge to order online, I wanted my food done right. I immediately went back up there with the waffle to get a proper one. Olu was nice and offered me a drink while she made sure my waffle was remade properly. I heard her tell a short lady who I'm assuming was over the food today that they'd served me a burnt waffle. The short lady says, "So she wants a light waffle. Ok." Olu told her, "No. She wants a waffle that's not burnt!" Duh. I got a proper waffle and went home to enjoy my food. Olu was great - give that lady a raise. The two stars are for the fact that I was given burnt food, no compensation for having to make an additional trip for said burnt food, and for the lady that was apparently managing the orders that made the snarky comment about me wanting a "light waffle".

This was one of the best Waffle Houses I've ever been too. The ones in Austin, TX I never get served at because either they don't have a cook, or its closed and someone is yelling at you that their not serving anyone. But this place was totally fully staffed. I didn't have to wait long to be seated and they brought my food out to me hella quick, My experience here was so good I made sure to eat there everyday while I was in Dallas cause I knew I was never going to get the service I did here in Austin. Hope this location will still be there next time I visit Dtown!

This was our first time at a Waffle House. Yvonne greeted us and assured us that our wait would not be long for a table. She also kept the music going and clearly enjoyed her job as she danced around cleaning tables and talking to the other customers. When we got seated about 15 minutes after we arrived, Amy promptly took our order. She was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu. We will definitely be going back to this location. Food tasted great and came out fast. It was also awesome to watch them make our food right in front of us.

Great staff at this WH location! All of the food and service were on point. For me, you can't beat the All Star with three cheesy eggs, chocolate chip waffle, hash browns, crispy bacon and a large OJ. Waffle House may not be the Four Seasons but the food is super consistent, the staff is always hustling, and the vibe here is fun, especially with the jukebox belting out Christmas hits. Thank you WH!

I mean. It's Waffle House. You need to know what you are going to be getting when you decide to come in. This is our second time at this location and will probably make it our go to staple when in Dallas. For whatever reason there is always a wait but as per normal Waffle House standards the staff is super friendly, topped off my coffee even before thinking I needed any and overall a pleasant experience. Staff is friendly, there is non stop shouting coming from the kitchen. But it's WH. It's a place that if you are from the South will say, yeah this feels like a welcoming home.

Counter...could stand to be cleaned more often. No one was seated here but a lot of leftover syrup etc. The menus were also sticky

Staff is attentive and polite. Seem to communicate well with each other to get orders done within a reasonable amount of time. Biggest issue for me was slow seat turnover ie not cleaning empty spaces. Empty spots and menus weren't cleaned well and were sticky etc.

Waffle House as always was excellent! I had eggs bacon toast grits with cheese and a waffle! Couldn't eat half my food my eyes was bigger than my stomach but I ate most of the grits it was so good love their grits! To me the waffle is just ok I really went for the bacon it's so crunchy and the grits! It is is always hectic in there but the waitresses they do their best and always get my order right! It's not always that clean in there probably because of the volume of people in there and it's always packed! I will forever love the Waffle House I definitely recommend this place and location.

No, no, no, no, no. Avoid this location at all cost, to save everyone from a long extravagant story let me just lay it out in dash marks -the entire meal took over 1 hour (this is pretty long for a Waffle House meal) -they burned my waffle 3 times, on the fourth time I used the timer myself to make sure it wouldn't be burned -the three workers were fighting between each other, making the entire dining experience very uncomfortable -my order of bacon had been ready for over 5 minutes but was sitting forgotten on the bench, resisted the urge to grab it myself, had to remind the server twice for it -other customers coming in had no where to sit because all the tables were dirty In the land of Waffle Houses my expectations are pretty low, but my experience here was just not worth it. Stay away from this location and just save yourself the trouble.

I believe that is what is called a cheeseburger with hashbrowns.

HEALTH WARNING: OK, I hadn't been to the waffle house in years so I thought I would check one out. I stopped in, and grabbed a cheeseburger with hashbrowns. Now, everything tasted great, it wasn't busy, I got my food quickly, the waitress was attentive and cute, so that made things quite a bit better. I was in the mood to give them probably a three star rating, the restaurant could've been a little cleaner, tables were dirty, I sat at the counter and it wasn't really clean, but everything else went well.... UNTIL I was walking to the door and I saw what looked like.... a cockroach on steroids. The thing was huge.I was almost about to grab a picture of it, but it ran away too fast. This thing was probably about 2 inches long and probably about 3/4 of an inch wide. My stomach kind of turned just a bit. If I would've seen that as I was walking in, I probably would not have stayed to eat. I'm thinking if there is one huge cockroach, there's probably at least one other hiding around somewhere. I didn't see any behind the counter or in the food prep area, this was near the front door. It may have just snuck in from outside because of the rain, but who knows. Anyway..... if I wouldn't have seen a cockroach the size of a Volkswagen Jetta, they would've got a three star rating.

We frequent Waffle House occasionally when we are looking for a good, greasy breakfast. Here is a breakdown of our trip: Large order of sausage: The order is not large by any means. It is only three patties. BUT, they are delicious! Hashbrowns: I know you can have so many combinations, but I like them plain and extra crispy. Waffle: Make sure to add chocolate chips! Texas melt with bacon, egg and cheese: This is hands down the best item on the menu. It is perfect because there is double cheese :) Drinks: Orange Juice is only 50 cents when you order another beverage. It is worth it! We will be back!

Ohhh buddy, let me tell ya--this place is an absolute beauty, eh!…read more So I popped into the Maple Leaf Diner down in Dallas, and I gotta say, it felt like I'd been teleported straight to the Great White North... just with a bit more Texas sunshine, eh? First up, the pirogies--holy moly, these little pockets of joy were just unreal. Perfectly soft, stuffed to the brim, and fried up just right. I'm pretty sure if my tasted these, she'd give a polite nod and say, "Not bad, eh?" Then came the pot roast poutine, and let me tell ya--this isn't just food, it's a life experience. You've got those crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds (as they should be, eh!), and gravy so rich it could probably pay rent in Toronto. And then--BAM--tender pot roast on top. I nearly stood up and sang "O Canada," no joke. Now the Canadian Eggs Benedict? Ohhh, beauty. The peameal bacon was thick, juicy, and cooked just right, sittin' pretty under those poached eggs with hollandaise sauce that was smoother than a fresh sheet of ice. Absolute perfection, eh. And don't even get me started on the everyday breakfast. Classic, hearty, and no funny business--just how we like it. Eggs done right, toast that actually tastes like toast (imagine that!), and portions big enough to fuel ya through a full day of shovelin' snow... or, you know, strolling around Dallas. All in all, Maple Leaf Diner absolutely crushed it. Let me tell ya, the service was so fast and smooth, I thought I was dreaming eh. Great food, friendly vibes, and enough Canadian charm to make ya wanna say "sorry" when someone else bumps into you. 10/10, would recommend--now pass the syrup, eh?
