This is by far my worst experience at any Waffle House The server name is Amanda she approached my table without introducing herself says "what you want" I told her I wanted a Texas bacon cheesesteak melt she takes my order and brings back a patty melt. My wife and I stopped in to eat after midnight on the morning of February 5th. There were by my count at least six employees present, not sure if all were on the clock. Two fem employees sitting at the booth by the restrooms, were laughing and making fun of my wife's clothes. She became very angry and hurt, but we left without saying anything. Eat here weekly, and they have never disappointed me. Food is made upon order, tastes wonderful, and late night staff is great. My normal order is the texas patty melt with onion hashbrowns.The philly cheese steak melt was just ok. I am not a fan of waffles here, there is something about their texture that are a just bit too funky for my liking. They do have jalepenos if you like a little spice, and they will grill them for you if you ask. read more

Due to the storm in the area today I went to Waffle House because it was the only establishment open it the time now that Hardee's open after the fact first I call to see if they was taking any orders and was they use in a regular menu the young lady said yes they were taking orders and using a regular menu but not taking orders via the phone. So I drove to the Waffle House expecting to be able to use the regular menu to place my order upon arrival was informed they was using a limited menu to my disappointment. Waiting line a total of 8 people waiting to be served the server and took the time to clear the table instead of taking orders there's a total of 5 people working today and establishment one cook presumable one dishwasher and two ladies three waitresses but the male waitress decided it would be best to clear the tables in versus taking the order the young lady was watching the dishes dismiss us as well as waiting to be served II waitress was bagging orders from previously and the cook was cooking in waitress was hiding somewhere I guess The Establishment wasn't super busy due to the weather to my surprising normal crowd of people reside in a restaurant but the staff felt overwhelmed to my surprising due to the limited people in the establishment. The area had a 24-hour window of preparation I feel that the manager drop the ball on this one over 30 minute wait with no one asked me what do you want I suggest let the customers used to tell me to write down their own orders to pass it to the Cook and at this time a waitress African American female decided she would come on and take a few orders she only took one order in a few likely why me and the rest of the couple stand around and wait another 10 minutes before she decide to take another order this is very unacceptable and disappointing corporate need to do over at this location service is bad only given two for being open during the storm totally disappointed management is not ask you that one can acquire it in the Universal Institute is something that you have to be born with period. read more

I REALLY love the waffles at this chain breakfast joint, but somebody, I say somebody, has GOT to teach the cook here how to make bacon. For some reason, the strips of pork fat that are served up here are always cooked unevenly, with some parts almost raw. C'mon folks, this should be slam dunk for you. i have always been and always will be a fan of waffle houses everywhere. the staff have never been less than friendly, the customers a great mix, and the food, although greasy, is pretty good. i've never actually eaten non-breakfast food. we stopped by about 1am at this locale after flying into pooler too late to eat anywhere else. their waffles are so rich and creamy/sometimes crispy/sometimes not. the grits are hit or miss with lumpiness but never lacking buttery deliciousness. the good ol reliable waffle house! read more

WH has the best waffles. Their All American for about $6.50 is the best breakfast ever. I've eaten at a lot of WHs and I've found the food quality to be pretty consistent. The distinguishing difference is in the restaurants cleanliness and quality of staff. The WH in Pooler is the best around in this regard. The staff is friendly and the service couldn't be better. The restaurant is generally clean and kept up. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the WH in Hardeeville or Ridgeland. read more

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The food was good and filling. I got the cheese grits bowl with sausage and scrambled egg for $3. My mom also got the cheese grits and she liked as well. It is very affordable. Our complete bill was $10.84 not including tip. It was across the highway from our hotel, so it was very convenient. read more

On our way home from Florida we opted to try this Waffle House after the restaurant we wanted to go to had a lengthy wait. First impression was to turn and leave but the kids were hungry and wanted to stay. Ordered drinks, 20+ minutes later we finally got them after asking when they were coming. While waiting for our orders the general cleanliness of the restaurant was appalling. Watching the grill cook take raw meat with bare hands and then pick up utensils with the same hand repeatedly was enough. We asked to speak with the manager and he kindly said we could just leave if we wanted... We promptly did. With 11+ more hours in the car it wasn't worth getting food poisoning on the way home. This restaurant needs a very deep cleaning and re-training of staff. They spoke rudely to each other frequently and we're generally lazy in taking care of their customers. Remember that it is an open restaurant that customers can watch as there food is prepared. It should be pristine and not look the way it did when we stopped in (1/2/15 @ 6:15pm). read more
