Last day in Orlando before heading back to the west coast. Decided to drop by Waffle House on my way to Orlando International on McCoy Road. Haven't been since earlier this year when I was in Texas. Restaurant was clean not too busy at the time I was there. Service was friendly. Food came out fast and was good. Can't ask for more.

I've heard so many good things about Waffle House but living on the west coast where we don't have it at all is a BUMMER! I went to Waffle House for the first time and oh my goshhhhh, it was the best first time experience I've had in a longggg time. Waffle House diner, to my knowledge, is only on the east coast. It's a small cute diner with the most iconic logo, gives the best diner vibes. Inside this location had booths lined up on 2 of their wall section and chair sitting facing the kitchen. Walked in with my bf and we got sat after a few minutes. Our server's name is Dani and she was the SWEETESTTTT. I would love to come back to this specific location for her to serve me again, she was amazing! I was pretty groggy and had to get coffee and their coffee mug was just so cute, I had to ask if they sold them. And they do! Beats paying $20+ for Disney mugs, cups and tumblers at Disney Springs! She took our order, I got the Texas Bacon Egg and Cheese Melt (subbed bacon for sausage) and my got the Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt. Both were absolutely delicious, I got my order based from my server's suggestion and she had it right on the money for a first timer. She did offer their breakfast special but it was too much food at the time, maybe next time! She offered us Waffle House sauce too and it made the food so much better. Overall, 1000000000/10 for the experience. Food was good and the service made it so much better, thank you Dani! I will definitely be coming back to Waffle House again !

Party of 5, had to sit at 2 different tables. It's the Waffle House, don't expect anything other than greasy food. Stopped at the request of one of our travel companions who wouldn't stop talking about needing to stop before we headed back. Let's just say, she was the only happy camper. We all had stomach complaints after the fact. Staff at as friendly and attentive although very busy.

I stopped by the Waffle House - McCoy Road location on Saturday, January 7, 2023. As every Floridian and Southerner knows, Waffle House can be counted on as being open on every national holiday when other restaurants are closed and the only restaurant which will remain open even if there is a Category 5 hurricane threatening the area. That being said, just as in every other instance I've been to this particular location, I've always received friendly and gracious service from the staff and in particular, Dani, who has kept her composure even when handling a full house of patrons. On this particular day, I opted for their two egg breakfast which included a side of bacon, hash browns and toast. A simple meal done perfectly and brought out to my table in a flash. Kudos to the employees, management and Dani who always asks if I want my coffee topped off.

It was a crisp morning and I had lots of errands to complete before Christmas and I decided to come to a place that makes me happy. Waffle House, oh how I cherish you. You have the best service, welcoming presence, upbeat attitudes, happiest smiles, and the best coffee and basic breakfast a chick like me could ask for. The seating area by the windows were cold and could use some type of caulk for the air from the outside to come inside but as soon as I got a cup of hot joe, I was in it to win it. Thank you all for the wonderful and clean service.

Has been forever since we have been to a Waffle House (no locations in New York). We landed after a several hour delay flight, arrived at 1a.m., we picked up our rental car and searched for the one restaurant we knew would be open in the south. Restaurant was empty which was a plus for us, three employees working, restaurant was clean, and we were serviced quickly. Food is basic, pretty straightforward. Food was prepared quickly.

My boyfriend and I came here half an hour before 7 am straight from the airport. After a long flight from CA and w/o dinner last night, we were hungry so we went to the closest diner we could find. We were not expecting much but it turned out to be really good. When entering we were greeted by multiple workers and seated ourselves (it was pretty empty at that time but multiple to go orders). The restaurant is nice and cozy and has enough tables but I am sure most of their orders are to go (they do charge an auto 10% for to go orders). The kitchen is fully visible and was tidy. The server "Z" was patient and very sociable. I overheard she worked grave hard shift and she still had good energy and was wide awake (not that I'd expect that from a grave shift worker). The waffle was really good and fluffy not buttery at all. The eggs over easy were perfect, the hash browns were crispy on top and clean -- there were no fragments and residue from other ingredients. The grits were fluffy not too buttery at all. I appreciated their flexibility by allowing me to replace the meat with grits! The unsweetened tea was great, not bitter. My boyfriend tends to be a picky eater but he finished his entire plate. Lastly, as two people who used to work in the food industry, it makes a difference when your coworkers are welcoming to you and when they relay compliments and I saw both things here -- they were laughing and getting along and the cash register worker let them know of our compliments. Great job, will be back again (:

This place was on my bucket list when I planned out my trip to Orlando. Back in 2009, I was unable to visit this institution which left me feeling bummed. We took a red eye in and with no sleep, I wasn't really feeling hungry but this was my only opportunity to eat here so I could not pass this up. It was 7 am local time and 4 am pst, so I did my best to muster up an appetite. I shared a plate with my son, so I was able to finish my whole plate. I'm not sure what they put in their waffle batter, but holy crap, that was one of the best waffles ever. I now get why people love coming here. Was the breakfast better than Dennys, yes. Better than IHOP, it can go either way.

Nelson was very nice and got all our orders right. Shout out to Ms. Nelson!

Shout out to Ms. Nelson! Best service you can get at 2am. We would come back to this place.

I know what you are thinking: it is just a Waffle House, but after a red eye into MCO and getting a rental car, nothing hits better than some grits and kindness. We were instantly greeted by the staff who was not only inviting but rather attentive. It was a clean place and the food was decent. I could not have asked for a better first meal in Orlando. Thanks to the staff for being so kind.

Finally made it to a Waffle House! We were in Orlando dropping my kid off at the airport and on the way out we saw this location, so we stopped. First impressions - very much a counter style diner, in all of the good ways. Very friendly chatty staff. Was clean and well maintained. Smelled good lol We were immediately greeted and seated. Chose to sit at the counter as there weren't any other customers at the time. Our server was super friendly and very engaging. We went with her recommendations. No I didn't have waffles (i know i know). It was kinda old school cool being able to watch and chit chat with the grill master (that's what they are called apparently) prepared our food. Didn't take long at all. The food was all very good. Good like you'd expect from a nice diner. Nothing ground breaking but definitely good. So after all the hype I've heard over the years about Waffle House, the visit was fairly anti-climatic, but definitely a good experience that I'd repeat. Maybe next time I'll try the waffles :)

I believe before the pandemic that you self served drinks, but the full service change has definitely been for the better. They've got a rotating list of specials that you can see on their instagram too. This place always delivers quality food. Their fried chicken is excellent, I've never seen an overcooked egg, their grits are amazing, their gravies are perfect, their biscuits are to die for, and their Mac n cheese is creamy delicious goodness. I haven't tried their lunch menu myself because I can't bring myself to not order breakfast. Between the Minnie pearl, three little pigs, seventh trimester, their specials, and even their sausage sandwich, nothing on a lunch menu could ever tempt me away. And don't even get me started on their bakery! Their bakery is a separate counter with cakes, cookies, handpies, brownies, and whoopie pies. Their selection is rotating and I've genuinely never been disappointed. Usually I have to take their stuff to go because I'm so full from breakfast, and it's usually pretty rich. This place is an Orlando staple and I hope they're open and successful for as long as they wish to be. I know I'll be back as long as they're still cooking.

I ordered The Big Dipper (shaved steak, horseradish aioli, melted provolone cheese, crispy onions and Au Jus on the side, served on a very fresh grinder roll). It was delicious! It came with a nice side salad that included tomatoes, red onion, cheese and croutons. I selected bleu cheese for my dressing (placed on the side). I also ordered a Wedge salad for lunch the next day. It was a good size half lettuce head with a sliced boiled egg, bacon bits, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and chunks of bleu cheese. The blue cheese dressing was also on the side. Great meals all-around. It would have been a five-star review if not for the long wait to take my to-go order.

Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.
