The food was great. My pancakes were very flavorful. The portion size was quite large. Our server did a fabulous job. On our visit the food took a while to come out of the kitchen. The menu prices were very fair. read more

Ordered a tunafish sandwich on rye with lettuce and mayo with ff. 25 min to get a sandwich and no lettuce no mayo burnt ff and the tuna had big chunks of hard oiled egg. I didn't want an egg salad I wanted tuna. And the tuna dollop was dry and barely covered the bread. That experience was like they know they're going out of business and they don't give a shit. I would never let a plate go out like that. read more

Disappointed with our experience here. The diner has a fun western theme, but the food fell flat and the atmosphere in not one i like to be at. My order arrived lukewarm, and the taste was pretty bad as the pancakes tasted like burnt oil. Service was slow, even though it wasn't very busy, and our server seemed uninterested. Portions were decent, but the quality just didn't match the price. We had higher hopes, but sadly, we won't be returning. read more

We were traveling home from a weekend in Disney and got off the highway to have breakfast at the IHOP in the plaza next door, but their line was out the door. I did quick a search for nearby breakfast places and this one came up. Rodeo Diner is your quintessential diner - great classic breakfast for a great price. Food was tasty and service was friendly. I couldn't even make it out of the restaurant before I started to gag and throw up. Appetizers came out frozen and pretty sure the hamburger meat was spoiled, as it was gray. Two stars for the friendly service by Jose. The rest of the atmosphere was not good. The food was disappointing. I am amazed that so many people have bad palates. I noticed several regulars because the staff greeted then by name when they arrived. I had the Rodeo Special that consists of 2 eggs-any style, 2 bacon or sausage pattie8s, and 2 pancakes or French toast for $5.89. I added grits for a reasonable upcharge. I was happy that the pancakes are full plate sized, but I noticed right away that they were not very fluffy. The taste was very heavy of flour and they were not completely cooked. I was pleased that they do provide real butter. I think that if you order eggs scrambled with cheese that the cheese should be cooked into the scrambled eggs (as they do at the Waffle House). I am always disappointed when the slice of cheese is just laid atop the eggs (like an afterthought). The sausage was cheap quality and la king a good sausage flavor. The grits were room temperature. Grits need to be served hot. I had mouth all fixed up for a good hot breakfast and I was specifically hankering for some good pancakes. I guess that is what I get for having a cheap meal. Having previously visited their other location for dinner and dessert we were happy to see there was an additional location located in St. Cloud. We were greeted when we walked in and told we could sit anywhere so we found a booth and said in. Our server Cheryl was very sweet and brought us menus and took our drink orders. The bestie decided to have the eggs and meat special while i chose the egg and cheese sandwich with ham served on a kaiser roll. I sipped my fresh brewed coffee and he his tea while we waited for our orders. I love the relaxed atmosphere and the hometown welcome. This is definitely where the locals go. Before we knew it our meals were served. Everything looked and tasted delicious. The egg was fried perfectly and the roll was so soft. New owner! basic diner food but very tasty meals. i prefer the rodeo breakfasts, my wife prefers the club sandwiches , the waffles are better than any other breakfast place I've been to andthey use real butter too! The wait staff and owner are all very friendly and personable. Best of all now they stay open till 8 pm, and you can also have a drink with your meal!. we try to get there at least twice a week and havent been disappointed . will be back read more

Let me just say that I was skeptical at first but my client insisted that I check this place out and he said that it's worth it. Boy, was he right. My server was sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. She gave me her favorites on what she liked and I ordered chicken and gravy. It was amazing. Almost like I had stepped into Crocker Barrel but more authentic. This place for sure was a little hole in the wall but hole in the wall joints are the best. Priced for us, who are retired. But, we started going there years ago. Their breakfast menu is so good! And we always have more food than we can eat, so we split it between us. I just made my third at last trip to this diner. I don't know what happened to it. We have been before and loooved it. This time we were charged $13.00 for a bread sub with a few chucks of diced chicken instead of the chicken Philly that I ordered. There was so little chicken on that hogie that the bread, mustard, onions and peppers was all I could taste. I know that the chicken is probably the highest food cost item on that sandwich but one would expect a little bit more when they are paying your prices. We drove from Orlando passing up many other restaurants along the way. Next time we are craving St. Cloud food, this will not be the choice. Good luck. read more

Large menu with large portions, but what is not large is the price. Absolutely recommend this for breakfast lunch and dinner as the menu encompasses a huge variety of items. Haven't found a single thing here I dislike. I highly recommend if you're in the area and want some good comfort food to stop in and give it a try. It will make your lips clap. read more

Located in a strip plaza this place is a gem. Decent food at decent prices. This place doesn't look like much but is one of those "hole in the wall" type places that's well worth the visit. I had the country ham and eggs and everything was cooked to perfection and the service was great. I saw a lot of other breakfast and lunch dishes delivered to other tables as well. This is the second time I wrote a review about this place. And I have given this place a very good review . Been to this place many times for breakfast, this morning we went again and had their special: biscuit and gravy with 2 eggs and 2 bacon for less than less 6 dollars. There is nothing fancy about this place. True home made and down to earth food... it was good. However, i hate to say this but when we walked in this place this morning, of course I expected a smell of bacon but instead there was a very disgusting smell of cockroach urine. This looked like a quaint local diner, so I figured I'd give it a try. It was My first, and LAST time, with this place. I ordered breakfast..."2 eggs with country ham". When the waitress placed the food on the table I was absolutely appalled that any "cook" would have the audacity to even consider serving anything this horrible. The "country ham" looked RANCID and was tougher than a piece of leather or rawhide. Perhaps in keeping with the "Country/Western" motif this so-called "ham" was either a slice of horse meat, a leftover piece of leather from a saddle, or a hunk of rawhide. I had everything I could do just to cut a small piece off of it. Against My better judgement I tasted it.....I couldn't even chew it, & it was so SALTY it was literally inedible. I informed the waitress that there was no way I could, or would, eat anything this bad & she brought Me another piece of ham that was actually edible but still nothing to write home about. To add "insult to injury", when I got the bill it has 2 different amounts....either pay one amount in cash, or pay a higher amount if using a debit or credit card! I've never heard of anything so absurd!! So heed My warning. "Caveat Emptor" (Let the Buyer beware!). Skip this joint and go a few miles up rt. 192 to the Koffee Kup restaurant where You'll get a REAL breakfast, & lots of it, for the same $$, with never a disappointment! read more

Went to Rodeo Diner for the first time and absolutely loved it! We were greeted by friendly waitresses who took our order very quickly...it was mid afternoon on a work day so no wait times. We ordered breakfast items and everything was made perfectly and served hot. We asked for extra bacon at no charge. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Normally we go to another establishment but we decided to try this out again. The portions are huge. I ordered the 3 egg breakfast. It came with 3 eggs, 4 strips of burnt bacon, toast & hash-browns. My son got the egg sandwich.. the amount of eggs, cheese & bacon to the enormous kaiser roll is as definitely out of balance. New to the area, stopped in yesterday for lunch , around 1130.. was promptly greated by the 3 ladies that were working.. I sat at the "bar" or counter, whichever you prefer to call it.. there were 2 or 3 specials on the board for lunch and a nice menu with a nice variety of options... I went with a cup of chili and a cheeseburger and fries... The cup of chili was huge, it would be a bowl anywhere else.. it was good, it was not hot , spice wise, but had a nice flavor and it had beans in it.. I was pleased.. the burger was big, cooked perfectly, juicey, on a soft Kaiser roll, a really really nice burger... Fries were crinkle cut, crispy, hot.. service throughout the meal was excellent.. My wife and I used to eat here about once a month whenever we had to make a delivery to St. Cloud. They must have had a staff change in the kitchen because the food went from pretty good to awful. We used to love their onion rings, but the last time that we ordered them they were tiny, very greasy and just didn't taste the same. The final straw was last weekend when my wife ordered their Chuck Wagon steak. It's usually a ground beef patty covered in brown gravy, but this time it was a previously frozen breaded and fried ground beef patty. My wife cut into it and it was still raw! We told the waitress and she apologized and told her that she would get her another. My wife ate her two side dishes while she waited for her replacement Chuck Wagon steak. When the waitress brought out the replacement, my wife cut into it and IT WAS RAW TOO! At that point, my wife was done. She told the waitress not to bother getting another and the waitress said that she would take it off of our bill. When the bill came, she had taken the Chuck Wagon steak platter off of our bill, but added separate charges for the two sides that came with it! They should have just removed the platter and left it at that. Needless to say, we will never eat there again! read more
