Waffle House too me is a breakfast spot that you can rely on- people complain about it's cleanliness I have seen some bad ones but this one was not dirty at all! It was JUMPING ( that means it's was packed) I ordered 1 waffles and a side of bacon- if you don't come to Waffle House for the waffle what is your coming here for lol . Waffle taste good would have been better at the house when it was piping hot and fresh! Nonetheless it still was bomb! The reason I gave a big chain restaurant 4 start when I normally give 3- was the service! Even though it was a lot of people their the person waiting on me made sure I got everything I needed - she took everyone's order actually the entire staff was dope! A little baby spilled her drink on the floor the young male waiter cleaned it, not like "he was suppose too" he didn't sigh and make a funk face like ughhh he was like cleaning the floor with a smile. I like that kind of service I understand that food service work takes a special skill that a lot of people who are in that industry do not have - but in my opinion at this restaurant at this particular time they had it right! After a long day of work, I wanted a comfy meal so I went to Waffle House to get a breakfast meal for dinner. I ordered the all star with bacon and a chocolate chip waffle. The waffle was good but I needed to put my waffle into the microwave to melt the chocolate more. I ordered grits on the side but I should have checked my order before leaving because they forgot to pack my grits. I tried to call but their phone system is AI. My mom and I had breakfast at the Waffle House on Ingleside Road on 8/22. Our server Teasia was friendly and very efficient. I observed the staff overall were friendly and really worked together with getting the meals out, bussing the tables and sweeping up. We got the All American, Texas Cheesesteak, with a side of grits and some coffee. It was more than enough food for two and hit the spot. Waffle House never misses when it comes to food quality and consistency. The young guy on the grill was doing his thang. I haven't been to Waffle House period in years, but it was just as I remembered. Good hot food fast at a descent price. Period. I'll be back. read more

Food was cold but that's because there was a longer than normal drive. Waffle was great as usual and wasn't crunchy or overly browned. Eggs were cooked well too. Not a fan of hash browns but they were tasty based on expectations. Service was slow although it was very late when visiting. When looking through the window, the ambiance was fine since it was empty. Can't eat in Waffle Houses late at night anymore. That's sad because I would have preferred to do so. read more

The establishment CONSTANTLY says they don't have enough servers and have to do To-Go" orders only. I've been here 5 times and 4 times they don't have enough workers. A 10% surcharge is automatically added for To-Go orders so basically they are getting automatically tipped on top of the tip I'm giving them. Getting charged a service fee and To-Go fee for their lack of personnel planning shouldn't be pushed on the customers. read more

I really like to this location. The ladies working were amazing and very patient. You can never go wrong with the value for the money at Waffle House. Everything was great, though the cook did crack open eggs and then use the same hand to get bread out of the bag which in my experience leads to egg juice everywhere. But maybe she was way better at cracking eggs than I am and doesn't have to worry about cross-contamination. The waffles with pecans are delicious and you cannot go wrong with heaping plates of waffles, eggs, toast, grits, and bacon comfort food. I missed this so much on the west coast! read more

I wasn't sure what I should expect going into waffle house. I heard of many mixed reviews by friends. They say you're guaranteed entertainment if you go past midnight. Well, that wasn't the reason I went to waffle house on Thursday night at 1am, instead it was because I was craving waffles. Again, this was my first time going and what other place that isn't ihop or denny's is open 24/7 365 with waffles? I walked in and was greeted and told to take a seat. I sat down with my boyfriend and the menu was very straight forward and simple. We got the all star with cheese in the eggs. Our server was nicer than I expected, many times I've heard how rude the employees can be. Everything came out super quick and the server was on top of meeting our needs. The food was great, nothing disappointed me. The eggs were the best I've had at a restaurant. Everything else was as expected, it's a lot of food for an amazing price. You can chose to add an egg to your meal for 40 cents and add extra hashbrowns for 50 cents. The waffles were also delicious. This is definitely better than Ihop and Denny's breakfast. My only concern is just make sure you wipe your silverware and extra dishes because they don't seem to be the cleanest but I didn't expect them to. All in all everything was either what I expected or exceeded my expectations. The employees were friendly and the only interesting thing that goes on past 1am here is the customers. read more

I've always fancied myself a Waffle House Princess. I even have the shirt to prove it, yet this WH misses the mark by a clear mile. The best thing I can say, is that the food, once we got it, then got the plastic utensils, was WH flavor and quality. The wait staff and management were sorely lacking though. We were seated right away, but waited longer than we've waited at any other WH and we've frequented quite a few. We'd be eating at any other establishment by time the waiter came to take our drink order. He was too busy for the food order then, even though we knew what we wanted. By time he took our breakfast order, the drinks still hadn't arrived. I ordered a waffle light and what do you know, but one minute later a waffle was delivered only it had been sitting a while and was anything but light and hot. Still no silverware, so I had to ask another employee who was just so put out that she gave us plastic ware for take out instead of the real stuff. I relented to eat the waffle I hadn't ordered simply because I was hungry at this point, only once even the butter wouldn't melt, sent it back. Who wants to eat a cold waffle and I had yet to get the syrup for it anyway. The manager quickly noticed the forsaken waffle on the counter and asked our waiter what was wrong with it. Well, it was too dark and cold, but his only comment after feeling the bottom of the plate was that the bottom of the plate was still warm. Mind you I watched the entire conversation and quickly came to the conclusion this was the first and last time we would be visiting this location. Save yourself the time and effort and go to one of the other two locations in Hampton Roads as this one clearly needs more training from the top down.
