Grabbed a quick coffee and breakfast while on the road at this Waffle House and the customer service was excellent. Very friendly employees despite being a busy morning! My mom and I each got the Texas Toast melt with bacon and added ham, cheese, and onions to our hash browns. It was what you'd expect for a Waffle House and being that it is one of the only restaurants we could find off the expressway in this area, it hit the spot. read more

I made the mistake of bringing our seven year old here. Food was ok , but the atmosphere was horrible. The staff was having a conversation (yelling) with a family member who was eating there. The cussing and F bombs were constant. Another family got up and left. We will not be back. read more

This is the best waffle house i have ever been to! My cheer team and I were on the way back home from cheer camp when we found out that our bus had a flat tire. Once we stopped, we needed somewhere to sit and wait for a new bus. During this waiting period, they allowed us to sit in their restaurant as long as we needed. I am so grateful for the hospitality of Mae and Mr. Stanley who were the only ones working at the time. They made this stressful time not so stressful. read more

We had a wonderful first experience for me. Stephen was patient but attentive. I had the Texas toast grilled cheese and bacon w loaded hash browns and coffee. Only $5.00. My friend had a philliycheesesteak bowl. For $7.00 w coffee. Couldn't finish our meal. They also had an extra waffle so gave that to us so I could try what they r famous for. It was the best i have had since my child hood. So light and fluffy. Omg to die for. The mgr Clarissa was the cook. She did it by memory not slips at all and no mistakes. Amazing! The other server was Bria. She was just as nice. They only have 6 booths and a dozen stools but handled it like it was no problem. Everyone was friendly and nice . The cook/ mgr even sang while she cooked. Would definitely go again if I was staying longer. This waffle house is right off of hwy 26 so easy on and off. Definitely worth the stop. read more

Typical Waffle House. Cleanliness is not Godly here, just fast food. Very dirty I believe the Waffle House company should have clean up persons available during all shifts. If you are looking for a good grease shine on your sneakers this is the place to come. read more

Part of my review is part this location, but also part of Waffle House in general. this location in general: Me and a couple of my friends stopped at this location on our way up to the Spartanburg area during the morning breakfast hours. The place was packed (since Waffle Houses in general are not that big), and probably since it was breakfast hours on a weekend, it made for a busier time. We sat at the "bar" area and was waited on quickly. Our food came out in less than ten minutes, given the crowd factor. Staff at this location was friendly enough, as they said good morning to all customers as they came in for breakfast. Waffle House in general: I had asked for chocolate chips with my waffle. I was expecting the chocolate chips baked within the waffle, but they were not - the chocolate chips were added the top of the waffle after the waffle was cooked. I also noticed on the bill that if you ordered you meal as "to go", there would be a 10% charge added to your bill. Never seen that before and do not know why that is. Most of their prices are not that expensive, but why would you add an additional ten percent to your order for carry out? read more

What can you say about Waffle House that hasn't already been said? The food takes less than 5 minutes to get to your table, you can be in and out in less than 30 minutes and you'll be working it out of your system for days to come! I won't ever scoff at a chance to eat at Waffle House as it makes me feel in some way ingrained in the southern cultural experience. I wish they were everywhere but I only get the chance to eat there when I leave California. Our waitress was attentive and our coffee cups were always full! I thought the staff was absolutely wonderful. Our waitress, Alyssa(spelling?) was so sweet and hospitable. Seemed like the entire staff was very nice and this is a good change from my last Waffle House epeirience. Noticed this one gets a good star rating which for a Waffle house if not that ordinary so really liked it. My food was decent but I did not get a waffle and maybe I missed the boat there. I had the Chili Cheeseburger and the chili was a little cold. Should have asked them to nuke it a minute and would have liked it better. But still pretty decent and only $5 with drink and hash browns. A good choice when on the road and near Newberry! read more

My family and I eat at a Waffle House in Newberry after every high school football game. Usually the one on hwy. 219 without a problem. But it was super packed on 9/27/19 so we went to this one and made a huge mistake. We walked right in and set down at the counter. Then we sat there for 40 minutes (our mistake) and never even got asked what we wanted to drink. We left there and came to the one on 219 that had somewhat cleared out and was served immediately. We will never go back there and don't recommend it to anyone else. read more
