He kept slinging it back while he was preparing the pizzas. Hair net? Service was slow to say the least. They were not really busy, four tables at most, but it took forever to get out meal. Then finally when it did come, our daughters food came first and much later, nearly 10 minutes, our meal came. Normally, the meals should come at the same time, or at least, close together. They tried to say, "we have to make the food in the order it was taken. We all ordered on the same ticket! We noticed they had trouble finding the tables every time they had an order. I thought that is why everyone took numbers to the tables! When our meals finally came, we had to ask for napkins and silver ware. Then we had to get our own refills. When we first went in the TV was on but no sound. It was perfect. Then the TV went off and very loud music came one. Not good. My husband ordered unsweet tea, which ended up being nasty, sone designer tea with mango and passion fruit in it. They replaced it with water. We did ask for a refund and got it. My daughter ordered a BBQ chicken pizza. However, the sauce was also nasty, some kind of Ale 8 mess. They replaced it with a different pizza. However, we then had to wait once again for the new pizza. WILL NOT GO BACK!

What has happened to this restaurant?…read more This used to be our favorite steakhouse to visit, and we would drive a good distance to get here. The service has been on a steady decline for about a year, and our most recent visit was the most disappointing so far. The rolls were overbaked and dry, and they came out dark brown with no shine from butter on top. We didn't even finish the basket, and the small plates had uneaten rolls. The salad bar was stocked and clean, but the ranch dressing was watered down, and some items, like the chickpeas, looked a little off. The service was the biggest issue. Our server was surprisingly disrespectful. I wanted a small portion with no leftovers and planned to order a kid's meal, since there is an option to eat as an adult meal for an additional three dollars which would be a good addition to the $9.99 salad bar which usually leaves me too full for a regular entree. Instead of simply taking the order, I was given a lecture about how there was no point in "gaming the system" because I would end up spending just as much for less food. I even explained that I wanted to pay the extra charge and was not trying to avoid anything. The rest of our table ordered ribs and ribeyes, so we were not exactly trying to cut corners. It felt more like she wanted to push us into ordering more for the sake of a larger tip, especially since we were also pressured to order appetizers and desserts. Because of the awkward experience, we ordered less and tipped less than usual. The manager did stop by our table, but when we gave a lukewarm response, he did not seem very interested. We are people who never complain, ever, but eating out is expensive, and there is a basic level of service and quality we expect for the money spent. Between the rolls, the service, and the fact that this is not our first disappointing visit in recent weeks, we will not be returning until we hear that things have improved. (To add perspective, we ate at a different steakhouse the day before which was very slow due to new hires being trained, but we had no complaints whatsoever because the staff was friendly and the food was delicious.)

Unfortunately, this chain has passed its prime! I waitressed at one of their restaurants years ago…read moreand it was delicious and a great place to hang out for happy hour or any hour. The best items on the menu have been removed and they change the menu too often. This particular restaurant started out strong because previously alcohol could not be served. I think alcohol is the only thing saving this restaurant. The service is slow and it takes FOREVER to get your food. Do not order any unlimited item unless you planning on being there for the day. That being said, my mom ordered spinach dip. We went ahead and ordered soup and salad. The spinach dip was good and hot. The chips were crisp but a bit greasy . Our food FINALLY arrived. The cheese on the French onion soup was melty, but not golden or browned. The salad had decent flavor, but the chicken obviously came with grill marks. My mother's experience was the same. We didn't order a refill. Patricia (Patti) was our waitress. She has been here forever and is a local gem !! All the locals want her to serve them as she is very efficient! This restaurant is not my favorite, but they have French onion soup so my family will drag me back!

Not everyone needs alcohol to have a good time. But too many like to misbehave when drinking. Between licensing and limitations on employee age to handle same, Sterling Lanes decision to be alcohol free is the right one. We love our lanes, we love our friends and neighbors. And we love to see everyone enjoying themselves. Come out and bowl, have a ball, and get to know a great group of people. The grill has some standard fair, and an ever changing bonus selection of delicious food. The fountain drinks are great. And the ice cream treats and others sweets are awesome. And a side note: the theatre has way more than four screens. And don't forget the arcade on the lanes side.

While the night manager, Josh, was very understanding of our problem, he still refused to comp our 30 minutes of waiting on two malfunctioning lanes, and instead gave us five dollars as a "refund" which was for the "five frames" we played in the span of an hour moving between two broken lanes. Disappointing experience and worse customer service. Bowling is dying and Sterling Lanes clearly doesn't want to keep it. As a business owner, I understand equipment isn't always going to behave, but more than that I understand you can't treat paying customers this way. I would highly recommend anyone looking to bowl here go elsewhere until these issues are taken care of. I know I, and everyone I know will.
