So this was my first time at ANY Waffle House!!!! I couldnt wait to experience this popular dive!! It did not disappoint in the food department!! The grits was so delicious that i knew from the first bite i was in the south hunny!! My eggs were perfect and waffle nice and crispy! The freshly brewed ice tea was amazing!! The staff was so friendly and oozed southern hospitality!! This particular one was very small. Only a few booths and a bar. Overall great experience! This chain is going down and seems to never care to do better it's like a requirement to be a Waffle House you have to employ rude individuals and give horrible customer service without having to be held accountable for it because you can't call or contact the restaurant w/o going in personally and that's crazy because most of them don't even allow dine in anymore and when you order online they don't have a way or try to compensate the fact they are out of product... I purchased my breakfast and because my car is currently down my boss picked it up granted I did not give her the detail of the order only my name and condiments wanted... but to pay for something and not be compensated or advised of it knowing you don't have it basically false advertising at the moment and theft because I paid for good not received... this is beyond crazy and yes I'm going in this hard about my chili !!!! read more

The service was great at first but it got even better. The young man who was taking orders acknowledged that it was crowded but still greeted everyone with a smile as he was still acknowledging everyone else that was there. That set the tone for what was the ambiance (which can also be said about the tone). As crowded as it was it was very cool to be able to converse with everyone who was also waiting on their freshly cooked food because everyone was in a great mood and enjoying the vibe, that's thanks to that wonderful staff . When the food arrived it was exactly as ordered. My sausages were cooked hard along with my scrambled cheese eggs but after all that my waffle still came with my peanut butter topping . Within every two mile radius in Atlanta and anywhere surrounding it you will come across a Waffle House, but I promise you, you will never be able to enjoy one like this. Thank yall again! read more

I HATE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! i get it, it's Waffle House you may not take your job seriously, but don't answer the phone to take a to go order and place your customer on hold and have an entire personal conversation. Manager has unethical behavior I visited the Waffle House 580 location on July 1, 2018 around 2:00 pm est in Lithonia Ga 30038. I witness the manager (Patrick) belittling his waitress (Delia). He constantly followed her and yelled at her to the top of his voice. When she attempted to close out my order, he followed her to my table pointing and speaking loud at her telling her over and over again what she needs to clean in a rude overbearing voice. She informed him over and over again in a mild tone voice she heard him, but he kept on following and yelling at her from table to table. The yelling was so loud, to the point I jumped in to confront him as I had my four year old daughter with me. I asked him to not speak to her like that and asked for his full name because I was going to report him to corporate office. He did not provide it to me; however, the waitress gave me his name. He did say, "I do not care who you report me to because I am the supervisor". He was VERY rude and loud to not only the waitress but the customers who were eating during that time. I choose not to eat at location 580 any more if Patrick is working there. You know ... this place is 'iffy'. One day you can come here and get pleasant service and great food. The next, crappy tired looking people that don't even know you entered the place. Not my fault its 7 am, you worked all night and your education only affords you third-shift wiping grease off the counter. If that's what you signed up for, you need to do better than the bare minimum of the job---which is exactly what you get here depending on the time. Come mid-afternoon and you'll get better service from people more suited for the job. But what if you want breakfast around 6 AM? Forget about it. No welcoming you into the store. No one pays attention to you for a good 5-10 minutes, then it's like "(Yawn) Know what you want?" Bitch, do YOU know what YOU want? Apparently not, collecting that $9.00 an hour (if that) plus tips. Come to find out, a guy in there BEFORE me was sitting there waiting on the chick to finish his order. And we were the only TWO in the place at the time. You should see the angry looks on them when you decline to tip. This Waffle House is an unorganized mess but I can't deny the delicious meal I received. I suppose if you've been to one Waffle House you've been to them all... (Or so I've heard). I recommend plastic silverware and cups as well! Ask for Sierra if your here she is by far the most pleasant young lady in this facility! If you can overlook the professionalism it may be worth it. I know I can't expect much from Waffle House, but I do expect someone to take my order. That's the most basic of expectations at a restaurant. When they get busy they take the phone off the hook or stop answering it, so you can't call in your to-go order. Therefore, the least they can do is take your order expeditiously when you're looking at them face to face. (Not so much) However, the place is pretty clean for a Waffle House and the food is good for the cost. Totally disgusted!! I have eaten at many, many Waffle Houses over the years and I have NEVER been disgusted like this. My daughter and her friends stopped by after school so I asked her to bring me a waffle with sausage. I started cutting into my waffle and noticed the bottom was a little hard. I lifted it up and this is what I see! Totally burnt and charred!! Not just burnt, but actually black as though the waffle iron had not been cleaned all day and all of the leftover waffle batter had been burning on it all day and you piled it on and placed it on my plate!! Quick and to the table service is what you get at this Southern staple. This morning the cooks are entertaining while the waitresses try to figure out if their tables are overflow. One of the staff was sitting at the counter talking to a customer with a black and mild in her hand although it wasn't lit still very unprofessional.
